Customer support is so bad and inconsistent that I just gave up on this bank
Features that only exist on the mobile app might as well not exist as far as I'm concerned. Popup ad appears everytime as I'm entering my password. For the love of god, why would you do this? I am already paying for your service - why would you interrupt me in the middle of logging onto your app to advertise some other garbage? It's already painful enough needing to bank on a tiny touchscreen.
Not stable, not able to access entire day.
The current net worth management experience is suboptimal, as the API frequently disconnects, necessitating daily manual refreshes and re-authentication. This significantly detracts from the end-user experience and diminishes the value of this feature.

The overall stock and investment performance is satisfactory, although the bank itself does not seem to be reliable. I ordered a physical card a month ago, and it has not yet arrived. Upon inquiry, I was informed that it is in transit, and if it does not arrive, a replacement will be sent, which will take another month. For the credit card, even after being a premium member, I am still on the waitlist after a month or two. Question: Is Wealthsimple really ready for what they promise?
junk wait times on the phone is 10 to 15 minutes but they never pick up the phone poor customer service poor non user friendly app overal garbage stay away
This app used to be simple, clean and responsive. Now it's bogged down with pop-ups for AirPods, referral prompts and suggestions (ads). Browsing has become slow, clunky and annoying. To make matters worse, they somehow think it’s acceptable to force badge notifications and spam messages, with no option to disable them. Even if you have zero interest in their promotions, you’re still bombarded with regular messages.
Bit frustrating! I am on the app to apply for a credit card that Wealthsimple invited me to apply for...and I can't apply because the app isn't updated...and I can't update the app because there is no other version. Something is off in your user interface. Why put so many hurdles between your customers and your products?
not worth your time I only say this cause they won't send me an email for the new email I added and until they fix their mistake I'm not changing my mind about them
2 hours after linking my bank account someone in quebec tried to sign into my bank on a linux system. i dont live in quebec, or have lunux. scam
I filed my taxes with wealthsimple last year, but this year, I am not able to login. I tried to connect customer care, chat bot, forgot password everything. but, there system doesn't allow me to connect anyone. my last year data/credit is saved in file, which I can't retrieve. if, they don't have infrastructure, why are they in business. I recommend not use of their services, if you don't want to go through frustration, headache, don't use this app.

getting worse. the delays makes no sense. this company is completely useless on week ends. let's say. it's friday morning. you wanna sell some stocks to transfer to your crypto account. Forget it.. the sale of the stock although instant, they will free your money the next monday around 4 pm. NOTHING explains or warrant this delay. Sale is instant, it was not made with any credit involved, I should therefore be able to transfer this money to my other accounts. Talking hundreds $$ not a lot
recently they decided it's a good idea to have pop up adds while I'm typing ny password to sign in. I have never seen such a stupid addition in all my life using apps. change it.
Performance is super slow with each click. Pages take few seconds to load. Clicking back takes a few more seconds to load and doesn't respond. Clicking on the stock to buy takes a few seconds to load. Performance was fast in previous updates. I should also be able to hide those promotion boxes and is making everything cluttered.
**STAY AWAY.** Wealthsimple is a total liability. Without any authorization, they liquidated my assets, forcing me out of the market and sabotaging my strategy. This is a massive breach of trust and financial malpractice. Their customer service is the worst-dismissive, incompetent, and useless. They play with your life savings like it’s a game. A brokerage should protect you; they work against you. I’m reporting them to CIRO/OBSI. Move your money before they sell it for you. **AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Makes it incredibly easy to deposit funds but god help you if you want to withdraw, customer support is slow, uninformed and largely unhelpful
Not impressed with the handling of crypto delisting on the platform, and if it continues I will be pulling out my investments entirely.
Great platform but missing key trading tools. Need two things: (1) Bracket orders - set a limit buy and limit sell simultaneously so the sell triggers automatically once the buy fills. (2) Multi-account execution - buy/sell across all accounts (Non-registered, corporate account, etc) in one click. Currently, buying the same stock across multiple accounts means repeating the entire process manually for each one.
The current android version does not work well with Duo authentication app if the authentication app is on the same device as the Wealthsimple app. When you leave the Wealthsimple app to get the authentication code and return, it cancels the login underway and asks for your password again as if it is starting a new login. Previous versions of the app didn't do that and were pretty good .
Every month, Wealthsimple's platform gets booked or hacked for 15 minutes from 9:30 to 9:45 AM, right when markets open and volatility peaks. This consistent downtime causes massive losses for traders unable to execute timely orders during crucial moments. It holds the money of the traders due to technical issues.
Nobody wants that stupid X partnership
once you get a account you will start getting spam calls every day trying to scam you
wealthsimple forces you to use the app by making key features not available on the website. I don't like this business practice.
Wealthsimple is trying to position itself to cater to frequent traders through prediction markets and free options trading. It's also partnering with Elon Musks X platform to achieve this (yuck). Yet, on any day with significant market movement and volume the app stops responding. This is terrible for the demographic they are targeting. This app just doesn't work when you really really need it to. ODTE trading is definitely risky on this app as the app may not even open so you can exit position.
Asks me to sync with Authenticator app then is out of sync with Authenticator so the code never works.... WTH wealthsimple

my experience with Wealthsimple has been horrible.I have been locked out of my account since March 29th and it is now 14 April. Every direct deposit I have had trouble with Wealthsimple. I do etransfers or transfer money in or out of my account and they lock me out. I have had no fraud activity and have verified my identity numerous times. My life has literally been ruined. I can not even transfer my money which is MY money from Veterans Affairs Canada, I am veteran. I have lost everything
The decision to partner with Twitter (X) has caused me to lose faith and trust in wealth simple. I've been trying to delete my profile but it's been challenging to say the least. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

do NOT use the app for Crypto. they froze my etherium and still haven't released it. I was asked for what I was doing with it, who was it going to, I am trying to send it to another wallet I own!
The app requires immediate updates when the are available. Kicking you out of your account until you update. This is not acceptable. Give us option to update later.

I consider myself fortunate that I was not misled into transferring additional funds to this platform. Although my deposit has been held in my account for several days, it has not been made available for trading, effectively restricting access to my funds. Despite this, the platform continues to encourage further deposits, which raises serious concerns about its reliability and overall trustworthiness.
trying to create a profile. It states I have to change my name in the personal profile but my email address is the only thing that I can change. all of the other information are missing and cannot be change both on the app and online. their chat services aren't helping at all as it only states the same thing over and over.

Fine when it works but it has had way too many outages to warrant anything higher than one star. This isn't an entertainment or a food delivery app or something, this is a banking and investing app and having the outages it has are unacceptable
You guys started bloating app instead of your promise of keeping it simple and trading only. App crashes several times now a days, dont load properly during market hours. Simplicity is strength than weaker bloating offs.

Horrible app. Not bad for a long term investors but if you want to daytrade, find another platform. Wealthsimple consistently crashes and you miss the opportunity.

For the last few months I have to select the stock 2x to show all the details, the stock doesn't show anything on the first time. Last update worse experience Please reverse the last update on the home screen for in the TFSA holdings section so you can scroll down and see stock holdings list with one scroll I don't want to press see more button to view the rest of my stock holdings list. It was better before the update. Now it's complicated to navigate and inconvenient.
Very disappointing service. Transfers take 5-7 business days, but the money is deducted immediately from the sending bank, leaving funds unavailable for days. Premium claims like “up to $250,000” also feel misleading. Regret moving to WS.

scammers will steal your crypto edit. I've delt with multiple people in your organization and after the 2nd time after you guys stole my crypto i javent used you guys again nor will I. get better 🙏
terrible experience on transfering out from account !!! they put hold on all your account even if you want to transfer partial from the account !
Head's up to everyone! never stuck into there promises, that they can replace the banks they can't. I have issue with debit card they can't solve it and it took me 30mijs on call to get the agent and too figure out what's going on but the real issue is not found my them. Choose wisely on your travel otherwise you will going to stick middle of it like me. by declined transaction with 5x funds in account as compared to transaction amount. Never relay on it use it just like other trading app only.
