Absolutely useless piece of... I installed it because it was recommended for an upcoming trip to China. Once installed, it wants an existing user to scan a barcode from your phone to verify you. A Chinese colleague did that. Then it needs to verify the phone number through an SMS. Waited for hours - no SMS. Tried the "verify via call" option. No call. This useless piece of scam junk should be removed from the app store.
I have not used my account for many years. May I know why the system shows that I was active on 14 April 2026? Could you please help to check if there has been any unauthorized access or system error? And today i can't log in.. Please help

1.They delete legitimate comment, leading to this new one.2.Their so-called legal policy team fail to respond to my enquiry after a month despite they explicitly stated they 'only accept legal policies inqueries' in the email, and mine being a legal enquiry.3.Repeat what's in the deleted comment: their many data handling measures are suspicious, privacy-invasive and sketchy, including WeChat pay.4.Reminder data are transmitted, handled in China according to laws there, in case fine print unread

The apps login security is so bad that u need to pay, or scan to another user. why can't we just login in an easy way?
It logged me out of my account after i used it two times. I enter my password and it says its wrong, i know it isn't because it's the same password i use for EVERYTHING, yet when i ask for the SMS code it either claims I've entered the password wrong too many times or that the code was sent, which is never was. I'm annoyed because i had friends on there, and now i can't talk to them.

bad registration if you dont scan Qcode they give you, you cant use the app... horrible way to register as new user.
Difficult account verification and inconsistent ability to deliver messages, this application just destroys the battery of your phone. Having a video on the screen for one hour alongside listening to audio for 4 on NewPipe used 40% of my battery. OK. using WeChat for 15 minutes with it running in the background for 1.5 hours drained 30% of my phone's battery, somehow. This program will cause your devices to fail and is completely unacceptable for a workplace rollout.
what kind of app is this? they have to charge your credit card just to verify that you're a real human? that makes no sense at all! i am not going to waste time and let them charge my card just because they want to verify that i am an actual person
This app is a total failure for global users. The" QR code verification system is a nightmare and practically impossible to pass unless you know someone in China. Why do you make it so difficult for people to join? It feels like you don't want anyone from outside China to use your platform. You are forcing us to beg for 'verifications' like we are asking for a favor, which is humiliating and unprofessional. Your security measures are just a cover for a terrible user experience. I find it stupid that you need someone with an account over 6 months old to scan a qr code to make an account i have friends in China I want to talk to but can't because 8 can't make a we chat account
today I have faced embarrassment because wechat recall time is very short. I suggest the management to extend the recall period to one day.
