whenever an app doesn't give the right to choose to update then you know you're screwed,because if it isn't broken,why would I want to update,but being made to do it, you're going to have problems,like I did, updated & was shut out of my banking account for days till I had a great guy who got things working again,they use our money to pay clowns to update the app, I can do it for 50% less & you'll get the messed up app & save customers money at the same time, the CEO or Muppets should be fired!!

I can't log in at all and your call wait time is 1 hour. I can't access my business money to run my business. worst bank ever.

Dear Westpac, please do not block my account for no reason or recourse. This can leave your customers stranded and physically endangered.
I have been a RAMS home loan customer, and I am appalled at how my accounts have been handled. In preparation for moving my loan to a new lender - a transfer that hasn't even taken place yet - RAMS/Westpac closed my offset accounts and moved approximately $30,000 of my own money into a Westpac holding account, with no prior notice and without contacting me in any way. I now have no access to my own savings. The new lender doesn't even offer offset accounts, and RAMS/Westpac refused to migrate me
it won't let me put my new username and number in it only brings up a number pad so I can't write the username
Constantly fails to connect, then tries to blame my internet connection. Amateur garbage.
after uninstalling and reinstalling the app, which requires an internet connection, im unable to sign in on my samsung phone with an error that I dont have an internet connection.

so many functions don't work and it's so slow. chat won't load, safecall doesn't work, notifications go nowhere and can't find them, can't find my digital card, profile switching to business looses functionality. may as well just use the website. Yes it's the latest version! clearing app data doesn't help!
restricted my account (frozen all my savings) until I update my account. Tried several times now and I get to selfie and it keeps reloading the same page when I click the take selfies button. I've proven who I am, been with Westpac over 30 years. I'll be changing banks for sure, I've got people I need to pay and I can't with my own money because you didn't test your app. And yes I've tried wiping cache, restoring app different phone. Terrible

The app will not remember sign-in credentials (biometric or pin) beyond a SINGLE session. Reported widely but Westpac support tries to gaslight you into thinking it's just you and your device. Uninstall /reinstall works for a couple of days at best. Clearing cache and data works for one or two days at best. The only REAL solution is an app update with a fix. The kicker? Westpac just don't care. Not one bit.

app dose not work on my Samsung s 24 ultra when im on data. everything else on my phone still works on data. im on data wrighting this complaint now but my banking app dosent work... I can pay for stuff but I cant open the app to check my account. this is not good enough. just more reasons why cash is still and will always be king digital bank is bs.

Really frustrating and by far the least reliable banking app I've used.
careless cash option still useless. says you need to be at most 10m around the ATM. standing right in front of the ATM (1m), still won't trigger, location says I'm 56m away. this is in Macquarie centre NSW. 10m is obviously way too shoflia distance, as it is likely near impossible to get a true precise location especially indoors. Needs a serious rethink.

Login still not working after 3 months... this app has so many useless features, but the important stuff is not working.
Biometric or PIN login options will not apply. Had to type password to login every time, selected Biometric option and then the whole cycle repeats again the next time when I login. Rebooting the phone and reinstalling the app did not fix the issue. Frustrated.

Can't open the app for my new account, app continues to ask for an update when one is not available, so I am stuck in a loop.
pathetic. what gives you the right to perform an update then demand i confirm my details to re activate my account yet your system will not accept the information, then you turn around and lock me out if my own account with my own money. now I have to find the time to go into the bank. thanks for a thoroughly usless and totally inconvenient update. your money is not your money if these grubs can just lock you at at will
The most frustrating banking app I've ever used. That stupid digital cvc only works about half the time, so its impossible to make any online purchases. Keeps logging out while I'm actively using the app, the biometric login keeps getting forgotten so you're always getting prompted for a password then permission to use the fingerprint login- multiple times a day. How one of the countries biggest banks can't get basic services on their app to work is baffling.

The fact that you are forced to talk with a BOT who has no idea on what a simple question is very frustrating. The quality of BOT needs improving. It does understanwhat excel is. It does down load some details, but there is no complete . What is the phone number to talk withy a person!!!!!
Too many bugs after they did this major "upgrade" a couple of years ago. And with the recent update, can no longer log in with finger print properly.

App freezes each time you log in post OTP. Had to try 10 times yesterday and same today. It does not allow to update address, and the only way I was able to is by using Chat(actually bot) and select update address link from there. App is utterly inconvenient to use and access. This is post deleting app and downloading again. I had this issue once again, when I call your IVR states simple call via app by logging in. Are you guys serious? If I am not able to log in, how can I call via app

The bug where I have to put my login details in everytime rather than use biometrics is back since the last update. It's annoying AF to have to put in my details every time I want to login. Why break this after you fixed in previously?

Why am I having to reset my password every four days? and yes I've uninstalled done all that, and it's not my android version being out of date either been like that for over a year now so over it 🙄
oh I still really hate this app. no updates. biometrics don't work when re installing, even pin doesn't work "something went wrong", have to put in password each time logging in. It won't let me view my card and dynamic ccv. Press "show card" and nothing happens. Makes the card and dynamic ccv worthless. Have moved all everyday spending away from Westpac because of this.
Cannot install the new version. Also cannot change my mobile number as it is incorrect in the website.

Used to be able to get notifications on debits which was an option available in the app. This option no longer works, very disappointing.
Getting charged an overdrawn fee for 1 day is BS.
