They removed Paypal. Might as well pay by card at the till.

The app has got really unreliable lately. Sunday it wouldn't accept ANY table number at ANY pub, and I wasn't about to order at the bar when I had the only remaining table in a place packed with football fans and more trying to get in (London for the Arsenal parade). Today, no food is listed at all and it finds nothing when I search for it, so unable to order. I won't order at the bar in a packed out Spoons when I'm using one alone because I'd end up loosing the table.

I was trying to order food for a homeless person and was not in the pub. app wouldn't work, kept giving me errors and said I hadn't been charged. looked at bank account later...I had been charged.
Do us all a favour and fix the persistent log in! Getting fed up having to log in every single time I use the app now...
The app does not work unless WiFi scanning is enabled. This is totally unacceptable, especially as I had selected the pub I was in & table number, but couldn't order because the app pops up turn on WiFi scanning all the time. App will be uninstalled....your loss Wearherspoons
When you first select a pub and check out the current real ales available, all is fine, but if you then change to a different pub, the ales are identical to the previous pub. I'm not sure if this applies for food availability too, but it could easily lead to someone ordering and paying for something which isn't available in that particular pub. This needs to be fixed as it's been like this for several weeks now.
app says my network connection has no internet. it does. tried uninstall/ reinstall still fails

it's horrible... they make sure they serve you a cold burger and never brought the beer... I had to go ask for the beer at the bar... pointless... won't be making the same mistake again
doesn't work in Birmingham airport in my phone, just says no internet connection. Bit pointless really.
The latest version, 6.8.0 doesn't work fully as the previous version did. (Phone's location set to "off"). Select a pub, check the cask ales list then select a different pub, check the cask ales there and it now holds the ales from the last pub? The only way to update the correct ale selection for the next pub is to first close the app and "force stop" it in the device settings. Not ideal. (Same issue on my Motorola phone & Lenovo tablet).
Why cant I get this app
gone back to 1 star. latest update means when you check real ales available, it keeps going back to the original pub you checked. also with certain pubs(the same ones) it is not updated to what is on tap....
this App has suddenly stopped working on my phone what has been changed to cause this ?

Used the app to order and a friend went to the bar to order the same for himself. Friends order came twenty minutes before mine. Pointless app. UPDATE: as long as you are prepared to wait or order plenty in advance, then this app is useful FURTHER UPDATE: Now that app using is mandatory, you'd expect better service.....but no. Over the last few visits, I have wrong orders delivered and missed orders, I've had to chase. Extremely poor service from this bar with or without the app.
USER BEWARE - KNOWN LOCATION ISSUE WHICH COULD RESULT IN YOUR ORDER GOING TO THE WRONG PUB. COMPANY POLICY IS NOT TO REFUND IN THESE INSTANCES - LUCKILY BANKS WILL INITIATE CHARGEBACK AS THEY ARE AWARE OF THE SALE OF GOODS ACT REQUIRING A CUSTOMER TO ACTUALLY RECEIVE THE GOODS THEY PAY FOR THE COMPANY WILL FACE A PENALTY ASSOCIATED WITH INCURRING CHARGEBACKS.

5th Dec: unable to open, crashes immediately upon opening, has happened for at least the last 2 updates... update 15th Dec: tried uninstalling and reinstalling just to check, still repeatedly crashes on opening... Update 23rd Dec: Still crashing upon open after update. ... 20th Jan 2026: reinstalled, still crashing upon opening! ... 23rd Feb: reinstalled still crashing upon opening! ... 1st Apr: much like this day, this app is still a joke and still crashes upon opening ...
app won't even load inside the pub what a joke
Not a customer friendly App. Instead of greying items out when they are gone, it allows you to proceed to payment, then kicks you out. I suppose you get what you pay for. This app needs serious investment to actually make it work. Slow, clunky, makes queueing at the bar almost attractive
no longer able to sign in with Google. App page just refreshes. Have you sacked your testers😡 23/03/26 Still unable to sign in, endless refresh loop. no feedback from Wetherspoons to complaints, even though it's affecting lots of customers. Useless!

Would give zero if possible. Even if you confirm which pub you are in, it sometimes then puts your order in a different pub! Useless & dishonest as they refuse to accept it could be at fault & don't give refunds. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
App crashes instantly after opening.
Paypal payment option gone
Reports wrong real ale list eg: I view what ales are on in The Roebuck. I then use the "Change" button to look at the real ale selection in The Elms and it's the same ales list as The Roebuck. If I then use the "change" button to The Last Post the app reports exactly the same Ale list as the previous two pubs - even though the actual ales on offer are different in each pub. Stopping the app means it works just once then reports that all pubs have the same ales. 4 mates have the same issue.
Good except that the beers are not up to date I receive a notification of new beer available but it isn't showing on the app to order. Also different beers available at the bar than on the app. Addition: food marked as unavailable when it was available and beers at tge bar not listed in the app.
real ale info is a mess app never agrees with what's actually on the pumps assume it's an app issue rather than a human one, please fix.

piss poor when trying to chase the payment method
Was great. Easy to use etc. But payment is a nightmare! As soon as I go to my bank to approve the transaction the app closes. Everytime. The last month or so. I've had to go to the counter, because the app doesn't work.
