don't waste your time
I have used Xoom through PayPal for close to 8 months now, and despite the fact that they show one amount as the fee then switch it once you complete the transaction to a slightly higher amount, it wasn't enough to bother me. However, 2 days ago, I sent myself money, yet when Xoom said it was available, it was not available when I got to the bank. I requested a cancelation through PayPal and Xoom, but neither want to give me my money back. DON'T USE!!!
I've been. using this app for a while now they said I reached my limit and am not sending millions or thousands of dollars they make me laugh when all these apps mention money and how$ 50 is money The criminals transferred millions not a lousy$ 50 now my friend has no food because of that non sense

I have used this app for the past 8 to 10 years and it was good. but in the past few months it's been only issues with it from exchange rates, fees go up and down like crazy depending on amount of money. to most recently the money been delay for no reason whatsoever. it's just one problem after another. I really hope they fixed this issues but until then not using this app. and definitely don't recommend it to others.

Too many log in erros and problems when a paypal account exists. unusable
Keeps saying unable to verify our credit card! We called our card support and they said it was a PayPal issue. There was no way to speak to a live PayPal rep....
never saves my ID and Password. Frustrating to type it in every time.
the star that i used for this review tells It all , bcoz my fiance just send a money through gcash, to the Philippines but it said there or the people that was working there in the cebuana or the palawan tells my brother that there's no transaction that they get, from xoom.. so I'm giving you guys the 1 star only, coz you guys didn't deserve this star...
i sent money, they replaced all my data (name, address, title) on transfer with the name of the company in Stockholm.

Couldn't even sign in
the login process keeps looping the captcha when signing in with PayPal. I am unable to access the app at all as the captcha endlessly loops images to verify.
Convenient, but awful customer support. update 2/2026: happy NEW sendwave user.
no answers , delayed transfers even though the money is coming from PayPal account. but that's how PayPal has always operated anything to hang on to your money.
easy to use but but they are robbing you. now looking for a better remittance
Almost never works and freezes indefinitely. Exchange rate is decent, and commissions manageable, but that doesn't matter if I can't even send the money.
My favorite thing about this app is that when I use my fingerprint to log in, it closes the app and takes me right to my home screen :)
