★★★★★ "It started out fine, but soon became unreliable. I downloaded several books and comics to my device through this app, yet I couldn’t access them when I was away from home. I can’t recommend it." - sander e.t

Bought this expecting the same excellent experience as the iPad version but it's not the same at all. This app seems to expect you to have a server set up, and the multitude of other ways to import on iOS like USB thumb drives, local storage, Dropbox, google drive, etc, are all absent here. Maybe this app works great with their server, but I'd rather just take my $5 back. Hopefully this app can get the attention the iOS version got, and I can repurchase at that time.

Setting it up is too complicated. Took me about an hour of searching for instructions, reading them, creating a library-server, getting error messages, etc., before I could open my first comic. I'd rather have an option just to install the app and instantly start reading comics stored on my device without this rocket science. Keeps losing connection to the server. Shows error messages again and again. Not worth buying it.
at least let me refund. even free app more useful
Couldn't get it to work. I opened my Windows firewall for it and think I opened the port on the Comcast firewall, but the phone could never see the 'server' on my pc.
I really wish I had done my research before wasting my money. Oh well, lesson learned. I bought this at the suggestion of my friend who uses it on IOS to read his cbz file collection. What I didn't know was the night and day difference in quality between iOS and Android. I bought a galaxy tablet for the sole purpose of reading my cbz file collection. Which is installed on a 1.5 Tb microsd card. Turns out it's not possible with this app "yet" to simply read cbz files from an external card.
Useless, stuck on "oops, you don't have any servers." No directions.
Not a good experience with docker images on a NAS.
This app does not do what I expected, and the refund 1 hour later was refused, so I would stay away from this unless you know it is not the same as the IOS version.
Does not give you an option to open pdf files directly from your phone.
it sucks the sync function takes long to config and get working, then Biden to get off stage. Ok now I have other users with the same issues and no resolutions.
Not functional
For the most part pointless. At least one new library has to be created on the server, which has to be updated per console with every new comic. The background of the app changes color randomly. The biggest problem is that the libraries are readable by everyone without any login. The only advantage over e.g. Dropbox is the preview of the covers.
After having read a lot of comics on the YAC reader on my computer, I was excited to hear that they had released an Android app. Unfortunately my experience is not been a good one. When I go to set up my server via the QR code everything does transfer over easily and all I have to do is put in my server name. However, when I load my server on my phone the comics do not show up. Hopefully they fix this soon. At this point I've wasted $5.
Takes forever to load anything. It struggles even switching pages... Useless
Good app for many people, but does not do what I need it to do. I'm on the road most of the time, so I was hoping I would be able to access my library remotely. I do not have access to my router to enable port forwarding, so no way to do that. Ok, I can sync them to my tablet when I'm home. Except the app will not work with external storage, so my 1TB sd card is useless. We need the option to use sd cards for our library.
I set storage location for this app to SD card but all imported cbz files are still stored on device. I've tried removing and reimporting all files but this didn't help. CBZ files take up a lot of space so this is a deal breaker. There also isn't any option to import files from SD card to the app but this isn't essential as the desktop server app works well. Other than that the app is fine.
Missing border cropping that the ios version has which is a huge feature.
Unfinished product without being able to read local libraries, which is strange as the iOS version has this feature (for ages now).
