First open of the app and there is a non skip able ad for the app. Then it treats you like an idiot through the entire sign up process. Like you stumbled into downloading the app by accident. If they are willing to waste my time signing me up i have no trust that the app is worth my time.
Won't connect to banks. Fails authentication.

The whole purpose of downloading this app is to monitor my spending. and you have a monthly subscription for that. how do I say no in swahili?
keeps "forgetting" my bank account
$15 a month for budgeting app. No thank you.
There's an unskippable propaganda cutscene that tells you how happy you are with the app upon initial install I'm not trusting an app that treats me like a child with finances
all seems nice untill you have to pay. please that info should be at beginning
Used to be incredible. But the constant UI changes have rendered it slow, clunky, and buggy. I've opened tickets only for them to be closed with no resolution. Worse yet, bank connections will just break with zero communication on timelines to get them fixed. Discover hasn't worked in nearly a week now and there's still no ETA to when I can use the features I'm paying over $100 a year for.
not free. doesn't tell you until you make an account.
SaaS for an Excel Sheet
Not free, just free trail. Made me sign up before it told me.
not great. it's a strange way to set a budget and it's overall very clunky. you assign payments that have already been made to categories and then it takes that money from what is in your accounts even though it's already been paid. too much work and too much nonsense
not intuitive. splitting transactions is a pain. browser version easier to navigate.
£13 a month before even getting into the app. get serious
The first and most important thing it asked me was what my monthly income was. I get paid weekly it doesn't work that way. I don't even know who this app is made for but it's certainly isn't me.
a budget app that cost 14.99 a month? best budget decision you can make in uninstalling asap
In the app all this week there has been a delay in importing transactions from my bank. This means I haven't been able to use the app at all which is very frustrating. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck. Please fix it.
From 5 star to 1 star. What used to be a slim, fast, and agile app has become the typical "bloat" of busy body programmers. Last update added an unneeded home page that clutters and slows things down. Startup, entries, everything USED to be instantaneous. Now? A delay with every button press! Maddening! STOP PROGRAMMING TO BE BUSY BODIES!! Slim it down and make it better, not worse. UPDATE: Less bloat would help the delays. Stop making the program worse.
If I could give it 0 stars I would. It's just another app that screws people over with their free trial BS. Imagine a budget app not wanting to refund a customer whose saying the app cost is outside of their budget. And their excuse it to blame it on Google because they handle the billing, as if that's not intentional. Trashhhh
greedy overpriced bs
the interface was not user friendly, and it made everything more confusing than it had to be
What a rip off. Talk about helping with finances only to charge $15/month. Get real.
Bank sync stopped working several months into an annual subscription. YNAB refuses to refund even a prorated portion of the subscription - because the other parts of the app work! Edit to add: reached out to YNAB per their suggestion here, and they still refuse to refund.
There is no opportunity to register
it's really disappointing to find out that the thing everyone recommends to help with my extremely tight budget is SO expensive! went through the motions with high hopes only to find out that NOPE! Can't afford it. And for some reason all the emails I try to use for the trial say they have been used before, when I know I haven't used them. waste of time.
Requires an account. Why is an account mandatory??
I wanted to see what the app is about and test it quickly. Installed it and it goes through a quick setup asking bunch of questions. Great. Except at the end after all the work I have done it asks me to create an account. No, thank you. Put your account creation dialog first, so i know not to waste my time. This design choice is bad and misleading, and they know exactly why they are doing it. If the app does this from the start, i trust it will continue to do so throughout. No need to test it.
Should be renamed to You Need To Reactivate an Account
Not very automatic. I read that this was a great app for bi-weekly budgets, from multiple forums and reviews. With that I expected that I could put in my pay dates, and my monthly bills, and it would automatically allocate my bills for that pay period. It does now. It still does it for the month and you constantly have to manual make adjustments and assign transactions. There's hardly any automation for a biweekly budget.
if your tech savvy and have time on your hands this may be the right app for you. But if your a busy mum or you work a lot this app is fiddly and doesn't update clear enough. I watched videos for help, even joined community groups for advice but found myself exhausted I don't have time to keep sorting what the app should be doing and cos the app won't stay in sync I found myself constantly editing. it's too confusing and overwhelming for me. I'm sure it works for some folks but it's not for me.
paid for the subscription so I could link my accounts automatically, but they rarely / never work. Im constantly resetting them or adding transactions manually. I want to like it but overall its very frustrating. I reached out via the live chat and the customer service rep said I'd just have to enter my bank transactions manually. Then I had a one on one consult, which was very helpful with learning some of the ins and outs. but the bank connections still don't work at all.
