App is basically useless if you don't have a passport or driver's licence, just for a basic age check, not an identity check. Even if the ID is adequate for the check, it won't work. It's not a problem with websites choosing what ID is required, it's the app itself. It simply doesn't allow you to Identify yourself. It doesn't accept government issued proof of age photo ID, or any other legal photo ID, meaning any website or company relying on YOTI is going to be losing a huge amount of business.
this is the company Spain fined 950,000 euros for shady practices? now is working with sony to utterly ruin gaming.
This app is useless. There is no customer service, no one to talk to. I can get into the app, but that's where it ends. Any company using this for age verification is getting scammed.
If I could give this 0 stars I would, didn't think I had an account so created a new one only to be told after it spent 10 minutes looking at my passport that I do have an account but with no way to try to login. Uninstall the app so I can try to 'recover account' only to be told the number is already in use so I can't go any further. Absolute rubbish and wasted half an hour

absolutely terrible I spent 8 hours trying and it kept failing the face ID I had good lighting everything
face scan verifies age 18+ but license scan failed 15 times. its a scam to try to get you to use credit card to verify age

dont use this app they take a pic to supposedly verify ur ID without an physical id just to tell u to use passport.... if ur on a site and dont have an id and it says no id try this site to log in and u it go to that site and it still asks u for an id that's a waist of anyone's times.. dont even bother with this app if u dont have your actual id/license card cause there waisting your time... If I had the card I would have added to the site duh!!!!!
If like most people you dont have photo id it's 100%.junk(2025)..tried again this year and cannot create a card without photo id..They said you can when they replied the last time using mobile only.I can't as can't progress without photo id.that was a year ago.tried again and still needs photo id before you can get their photo id.impossible too use as no passport,no driving licence.at my age 61 that's just abysmal.popped into trustpilot too give 1 star review and most of the reviews are 1 star
A credit card already uses secure authentication, similar to a password. Merchants never see the password, and the same principle should apply to identity. There is no need to upload passports or share full personal data just to prove age. A system can confirm “over 18” electronically without exposing identity. Instead, this app collects sensitive documents and biometric data, increasing the risk of misuse, leaks, or breaches, which goes far beyond what is necessary.
nonsense app, i renewed my driving licence on the main page it says licence added successfully when you try to send the details it says add a new licence.....
i have been waiting for ages to get a verification code on my phone number, but it never arrives. it's frustrating.
horrible, couldnt get it to work after trying over and over 20+ times, i mean just look and read all the other negative revies, that app just doesn't work, and i hope that its not intentional that the scaning with the camera doesn't work so that, you have to use your id. i personally dont like to share that anywhere even if a conpany says its not stored.

Users report YOTI failing facial scan. However had same issue with HMD Pulse+, kept rejecting me for my RTW. then switched phones to Honor X6 with Magic OS. Success!..... YOTI TAKE NOTE
