I’ve used this app for over 10 years. I’ve loved it, but the newest updates have made the video quality worse!
I’ve had the feature to export my snippets in 60 fps for years. It used to be a toggle.
Now that toggle has been removed not only for 4K exports (Paying for Pro) but also for 1080p exports.
I want my memories to last by having the best quality videos by recording everything in 4K 60fps. But unfortunately 2025/2026 projects will look WORSE because the devs won’t fix this.
I’ve tried to work with support on this many times but they haven’t been helpful.
Maybe it’s time to try another app.

All photos coming in as black now. Awful.
Ignores notification settings
App completely disregards the in app notification settings and nags you endlessly to open the app.
Slow laggy app
Numerous times I’ve missed moments bc the app takes forever to open or won’t stop recording so I’ll have to close the app which doesn’t save the video. Also doesn’t appear to be a way of saving the whole video in a single recording. For example, if you record a 30 second video, you can only save the 1 or 1.5 second clip.
Deleted all my progress
I am so disappointed. I created a digital everyday photo album of my progress with my braces across 1 year and towards the end all of my photos were randomly deleted. No, I didn’t delete them. Yes, I had an account. It was an awful and stressful experience for me because all of my effort was lost. The concept was very nice but why waste time if it’s all going to be randomly deleted one day?

i bought this app for $5 in 2017. it was simple and purposeful. now it is filled with capitalist garbage. i can’t even navigate the app. I can’t believe it has a feed with ads. it has truly completely lost its purpose.
Last update too confusing
Why was the option to watch your entire project taken away? Makes zero sense. There’s too much going on with the update. We don’t need to see “memories” like every other app. Simplify it. It’s doing too much

great app, terrible customer service
I’ve been using this app for five years and have loved it, but it stopped working randomly this January. I tried everything to troubleshoot the issue, but nothing worked. I contacted customer support but was left without a solution for several weeks and was told over and over to try the same troubleshooting measures. Below is the message I sent to the team expressing my frustration.
Hi, I recently traded in my iPhone 12 for a newer iPhone, and the problem seems to have resolved itself. I would imagine the app was having a compatibility issue with the iPhone 12. Although the problem resolved itself, I have to admit I was extremely frustrated with the lack of help that I received from your team in troubleshooting this issue. I would go several days without a response and, when I did get a response, I would be asked to do over the same troubleshooting measures I had already done. This went on for a few weeks and was incredibly frustrating. It’s a wonderful app, but I would strongly suggest reworking your customer support methods to better ensure customer satisfaction. I appreciate your time.
Like I said, this app is a wonderful tool, but is pretty much useless if you run into any tech issue as the support team is hard to reach and largely unhelpful.

The update for three weeks ago says that they did bug fixes but what they did is make it so that you can't upload two clips now and only one unless you pay! they have downgraded the app unless you pay monthly

Deleted the app before even starting because of FOURTEEN interface pages attempting to sell new users on why we should spend $49.99 for the “pro” version of the application. Absolutely ridiculous, and an extremely poor initial UX. The proliferation of developers scrambling for whatever bit of money they can make by excessive advertising in-app is destroying the connected device experience, and this one is no exception.
Update Cleared a project
Initially really enjoyed the app! I paid for it an it’s been fun. I’ve been creating a project for my newborn for the year. I got an update and it removed the project and I can’t find it anywhere. Please fix this and help me get my project back.
Highly upset, plz fix
I just opened the app and I noticed it’s been updated. I don’t mind the update but there’s major flaws to it. Because I can no longer see all my memories and I cannot log in my day to day memories. When I click the icon “project” it’s a blank screen.

I paid for pro when this first came out and all the features have locked me out. It’s so unfair to make a paid user have to be a subscriber now. Made my own free alternative. You lost me after 7 loyal years✌️

You have to pay to use the app. I’ll just record a second every day on my phone and every 6 months take them and input them into a FREE piece of software and do the same thing they are offering for nothing. Hey I just downloaded the app and I don’t want to subscribe to anything. I know several people that have the app and they do not pay for anything and still enjoy it. But when I first opened the app it popped up with a subscription sign up page, and I can’t find any way to actually get into the app without subscribing. PLEASE HELP. I’ve tried reloading the app and everything but nothing works.

Great App | Ridiculous Pricing
I’ve used this app for several years now. You used to be able to watch ads to support the use of premium features. They recently removed this option, opting to simply block those features unless you pay prices that are ridiculous given the functionality of the app.
App but won’t allow you to change consent to precise data
The app constantly has a popup asking me to enable precise location data, but there’s a bug that won’t let me actually change the preferences. Breaks the app entirely.
The app responded to my review saying I need to contact support, but I have tried several times and there is absolutely no response. After the recent update it still prevents you from changing the toggle.

But because I didn’t pay for it, it didn’t save any of my progress from the past few months when I had to get a new phone. Very disappointed and will not be using this app again next year.
Newest won’t let you watch
The newest update won’t let me watch the current year’s videos. I just get a white screen.
Fix the share feature.
Exporting a larger file has been a pain. If I already exported it, I should have to go back and do it again. Also the shared link doesn’t populate the video. Makes it pointless since I can’t share it.

i’m actually quite upset right now. I’ve been a user for the past seven years and you all have gotten rid of the. In days even if I miss a day. I usually update when I go to bed, which is late at night, but now I can’t go in and update because it is stating I missed the day.
New direction is disappointing

Great app! But disappointing
I downloaded this app because I wanted to journal about my everyday life with photos and one second video clips, it started out swell! Adding photos for months on end, and laughing at photos from months ago. But then they started removing features like, adding multiple photos/video clips and adding them to a subscription that exceeded a cost to much for a small journaling app. I write this review hoping that editions like adding multiple snippets comes back and that the subscription cost scales down. The only other solution would be to throw my phone out the window and buy a Samsung galaxy so I’m not reminded of this apps problems.
Didn’t last past 2 weeks
Great idea. Not so great execution. Uploaded a few days worth of snippets, then all of a sudden had glitches no matter what I did (restarted app, shut down my phone, etc). Would see a blank screen every time I’d try to upload any snippet. Couldn’t exit out of screen unless I closed the app out. Tried giving it a few days, deleted it then downloaded again, SAME ISSUE. Customer service not much help. Don’t recommend.
New Feature ruined project
I’ve been using 1SE for the past 7 years. The recent introduction of “core memories” removed all of my marked favorites. This is extremely frustrating as I now have to go through my active projects and redo them all. Hopefully they have the same functionality as favorites once had as I would export 2 videos for each project.
Last update
With the latest update it now requires a number of clips before you can check out the video (mash). Definitely a BIG step backwards for an otherwise nice app.
2 and a half year project hindered by new update
I’ve been using this app to chronicle my son’s life since the day he was born in 2023. Something that made managing the project possible was using the “Favorites” feature. This feature is missing from the most recent updates to the app. Losing this is going to make completing my project (goal was 3 years) incredibly tedious. Hoping they bring back the feature.
10 dollars a month?
The app doesn’t tell you it’s behind a paywall. I’m not paying 10 dollars month to do what my phone can already do.
