Horrible customer support
New customer switching apps, somehow I got stuck in a limbo where I couldn’t log in without one of two things, both of which I could only get by logging in. Apparently I didn’t click a link in some email fast enough.
Customer support responded to one email over 4 weeks with an AI-generated message telling me to log in to resolve.

Gets worse all the time!
All of a sudden, some new window pops up in Safari constantly annoying. I’ve been using version 8 for a long time. They’ve added something new and annoying so I’m back on version 7. Every time I go into Safari, there’s a new window telling me to set something new up that I don’t know anything about. 1Password wants to take 45 minutes out of my day to spend to figure out something new. I need to find a new password program that doesn’t. Try and make it itself harder to use all the time.
Crashes trying to view previous passwords, removed good capailities
Since the latest update, trying to view any entry's prior password crashes the app. Does the dev team test before releasing? When you swipe down from my screen, it no longer opens the search field with a cursor in the search field and the keyboard pulled up on the screen.
When it offers to save a new url for an entry, it only offers to store the new url in an entirely new entry, but will not give the opportunity to save the url in an already existing entry.
Updates are supposed to improve the app, not degrade it.

Has gone way downhill
I have been a customer for probably close to 10 years and finally got my parents to start using 1P about a year ago after a lengthy struggle. Two weeks ago I reached out to support with a question about a promo code and the only response I have gotten, multiple times, is 'do you still need assistance with this?' and not so much as a single comment about my question. In the end, it took four weeks for somebody to finally address my question. Imagine if it was an actual problem, like being able to sign in, and just being stuck all that time.
When I posted a question about customer support on their subreddit, 1PasswordCS-Blake replied with the typical BS 'we are experiencing higher support volume'. I would be more understanding if the reply from support actually addressed what I asked rather than repeatedly ask if I still need assistance.

Hidden search
Why on earth have you hidden the search feature in the app. I have hundreds of passwords and i cannot search for the one i need. Sure it might still be there hidden somewhere but if I can’t find it, you’ve messed up my experience haven’t you?
always getting worse for consumers, move on
I’ve been using 1Password for 18 years. Since they took the VC/Private equity money the app continually gets worse in small ways that aggregate into big problems. They’ve stopping making the app consistent and high quality for consumers. They’re leaving consumers and families behind, it’s time for consumers to move on too. Let them serve their masters with enterprise-class mediocrity. Little things like some number fields for credit cards use a number pad some punt to a plain keyboard. Odd and inconsistent UI and UI animations. Increasing prices and “meh” features and implementations. I look forward to abandoning 1Password forever after another release of the built-in Apple solutions work on more non-Apple platforms.
So bad
I loved this app for years, I owned it since they started their company. until they stole our data, and removed it all from our private devices and servers. It’s no longer an app that syncs data, they took the data, and it’s a cloud service only. If you lose connectivity, your data is not accessible, but it’s not your data anymore.
Thankfully, there’s Enpass, where you own and control your data, like 1Password used to be, but 1Password was always expensive too. I got the lifetime license for Enpass, and it’s for all operating systems, all devices. This forced migration turned out to be a good thing, or I never would have found Enpass. Enpass still syncs with cloud services, but also your local devices, networks, or anywhere you want. Your data, your choices.

10 Years of Data Lost. Poor Support
1Password, after an update that they recommended, could not recover 10 years of password data. Nearly six months later I am forced to rebuild this info. Email help only is not enough and very frustrating.
They broke the extension
They disabled the inline browser extension with an update. On purpose. The main function of the app. Literally useless now.
What a waste
Horribly difficult to use. Transferring from version 7 to version 8 is impossible - tried for 3 hours and it never succeeded. Who designed this - some 15 year old geek.
Declining
Customer since v4, 1Password is declining. 1Password just suggested a password during a reset but did not save the updated password. You have one thing to do.

Continually becomes more difficult to use. Easily the most frustrating moments of my day are using 1Password. 10+ year user.

Borderline a scam if you have any problems, they won’t help you.
This UI is absolutely awful
What a complete mess. Please for the love, take a look at what you’ve done and see what a complete regression this is. Can’t find anything, things like the search button when tapped modify the whole UI- Liquid Glass is such a mess and it’s like you’ve adapted the absolute worst parts and made it worse. I’m a paying customer so it’s absolutely terrible when you decide to just mess with things like this. Seriously this is embarrassing UX and I hope you have the common sense to revert it asap, to respect your paying customers. Please listen!
Going downhill fast
I have this app on my phone, tablet, and web browser. The PC/browser versions (it makes you have both) will NOT stay unlocked if the device is unlocked. It reverts back to asking you for the password every single time. My work PC is high security and requires my ID card with a chip in it - there’s zero need for me to put a password into a freaking password app after that. It’s super frustrating. Moving all my passwords to Proton for a smoother experience.
Poor support
Along with the recent massive price hikes, one password team has completely removed their customer support. Mails are unanswered for days and weeks altogether, and follow-up falls on deaf ears. Changing my rating to one star.

What is wrong with the developers? Why is it so painful to use this app on ipad? Just terrible UX. You should all be ashamed. Why pay for such garbage that’s hard to use.
Downgrade on the iPhone
Why on earth don’t I suddenly see all items in the items anymore and the feature to select different groups disappeared too. Are kidding me? Fix that immediately!!!
God awful
Let’s start with how non-intuitive this app is. Instead of saving username and password it generally saves the authentication code or the address to whatever website you’re using. Then you end up with at least two and up to eight different saves to code from when logging in. Much more frustrating than using other old Apple Passwords.
Then add on the one month waiting period for answers from Customer Support. Ask a question to something you need right away? Wait two to four weeks for a response from someone who doesn’t give a number or email to directly respond to. (They WILL oh-so-cordially assure you that your issue it’s important to them) But, fittingly enough, they will send you an email right away asking you to rate your experience with customer support. When you rate it poorly you receive a bevy of responses from numerous “team members” who still will not address your issue.
No thank you. Honestly, I would rather write my passwords backwards on my forehead so I can look at them in the mirror rather than to use this app.

Why did you hide the Search
Why in the world did you make it SO hard to find the Search? Something that was ALWAYS THERE when you opened it BECAUSE that is where it should be! I have been using this product since it was first introduced and this the WORST release ever!
Battery killing app
Been using 1Password for many years, but the developers have dropped the ball with the latest updates killing the battery. Widely known issue that has been going on for months. Very disappointing considering what I pay each year for it!!

I uninstalled the app and today my phone has only consumed 5% at the lunch hour. That’s a huge difference and with the 1 Password app installed it was consuming nearly half the battery by this time.
Love the app, but may cancel membership and switch over to Apples password app now.

Can’t fix but raise price
After over a year of contacting this company to fix an issue with family accounts they have failed to fix it, but see fit to raise to cost. SaaS sucks. We pay for service we don’t get. Used to be great now just garbage.

I’ve had this app for years. All of a sudden it went from free to paid and now that I’ve paid for the use of this app, they have made so many changes that make it basically worthless to me. I used to be able to scroll through a list and now I have to search for what I want. I don’t think they can make it any less user friendly for someone who has 300+ passwords. Going to put passwords in a secure spreadsheet and am going to look for another app. And

Runs horribly lately
I’m not sure what an update did but my most recent usage of this application has been terrible , clicking passwords in iOS shows no entries for websites I have been before and when I create a new item , new items don’t show up correctly leading to creation of duplicates. Super frustrating I would avoid on iOS until they fix this , probably going to switch and I’ve been with them for years , sad

Adios Agile bits. Bitwarden will be getting my subscription from now. Half the price, just as good if not a better platform.

The app is great, however I want to switch to a family plan and because I use Apple to manage the subscription I can't switch to a family plan. This is ridiculous.

You have LOST a customer
Let me start this review by saying I’ve been a customer to 1Password for many years. I have used it faithfully and recommended it to others. But that will NO longer be happening. This week one of my logins was edited in my vault adding a corrupt URL. The login was then hacked. I attempted to contact 1Password for support multiple times over 2 days and ran into hurdles with their AI bot before I would get to a form to submit a ticket. Still 48 hrs and NO reply. Finally on the 3rd day I got an email essentially blaming me, saying I must have been a sucker to a phishing email or something - which I was not. I got a text message from Nigeria! that this login was hacked & by that time the email address was changed and a passkey put on it. I had no means to regain access to the account. Did 1Password offer to investigate? Or try to help me get access to this account back? NO 😡 What support was I paying for then?!? Adding this lack of any help to the recently announced price increase - I’M DONE. You have LOST a long time customer. I will be moving to another password management platform. My subscription is CANCELLED.
Safari extension still broken
It’s been weeks and 1Password has yet to fix the broken Safari extension. It’s infuriating, especially right after the price increase announcement. What are they thinking? I think it’s clear they have gone down hill and greed has taken over.
Ready to find another password manager because 1Password is no longer got me.
The price hike was the final straw. You’re not adding new features. You instead gaslight us in your thinking you are. I’m out.
Is not secure
I have a family member who stored their information in the 1password cloud & they found out it is not protected when authorities collected information on them only located on 1password. They didn’t get in trouble with anything in the end, but every aspect of their life was searched & I’m surprised 1password actually has a back door for our secured data. That’s not very secure…
Price Hike = Time to Change
Time to switch to ProtonPass. Unwarranted price hike here. Tired of a subscription just for a password manager. And now the price is simply not worth the product received.

Subscription scam
I would’ve never gotten myself stuck on 1Password if I knew that was coming. But also the product is worse. Sync is no longer reliable. The whole design is worse. And it’s a scam trying to screw customers that bought the software already into a forever payment scam.
Price creep
Unsubscribing due to price creep. It’s not like features are being added or any more bang for my buck. Is it a small affordable increase? No reason to do this other than greed. No thank you!
Unreasonable Price Hike
As other reviewers have mentioned. I’ve been a subscriber for many years. As a matter of fact, the only app subscription I have ever maintained. But not to inform your patrons of the price hike when this decisions was made and let them find out only after they are billed; that’s premeditated and unacceptable. My subscription expires in July and I’ll be moving on. You see, my ethics are more important than my passwords…you can’t say the same, can you?
