as the other reviews say, none of the programs i want to watch are even available for view in my region, rendering the app useless - not sure why the usa app even bothers showing the stuff you can’t watch (which is most of it)

アップデートしたにも関わらず、FIFA W杯のページに入るとアプリが落ち、全く観れません。TVを持たない者としてはキツイです。

What’s the point of making this app available in the U.S. if none of the videos are viewable?

アメリカ在住から視聴できないのに、アプリはダンロードができて、登録までさせて結局は視聴ができない。無駄な事させられた気分！
「お住まいの地域ではご視聴できません」ばかり
タイトル通り。Yahooニュースから飛ぶ場合も、めっちゃくちゃ見たいアーティストのライブの見逃し配信見たいと思っても、観れないものばかり。北米在住6年目、一度もAbemaの動画コンテンツは観れたことがありません。なのに何故アプリはダウンロードできるようになっているのか謎でしかたないです。権利関連が影響しているのでしょうが、前述のような絶対観たいものには料金発生してでも観たいと思っていますが、その選択肢すらないのでどうしようもないです:/
Region-locked
Not sure what the point of this being in the US App Store is, since just about everything is blocked outside of Japan. At the very least, a filter to only display what’s available in the US would have been appreciated.

既存のメディアの殻を打ち破り、国外にいる数百万人の海外駐在員やその家族を救うアプリになるんじゃないかと期待していましたが、いつまで待ってもそんなアプリにはなりませんでした。そろそろ削除します。

アプリがダウンロード出来たのでかなり喜んでいたんですが、どの番組も海外からは見れない様になっていてかなり残念です。海外在中者にも見れるようにしてください。その他の動画サイトの様に月額払う様な形でもよいのでご検討ください。

Use the JP App Store
There is a Nihon App Store that works fine. Don’t bring a “tease” app to global marketplace. No one else does that for this very reason. Tons of negative stars.

期待していただけに
日本のドラマやバラエティを海外から見られたらいいなーと思ったけれど、やっぱり見られなかった。見られる番組が少なすぎて、せっかくアプリをダウンロードしてみたけど、使用頻度少なそうです。残念。
In the App Store for a region where it cannot be used...
You can watch News, (one of the channels,) shogi, and mahjong. And fishing, if that’s on. They’ve blocked every VPN that they know about, so I’m really at a loss as to why this is available in the US AppStore. It’s also 100% in Japanese, so I don’t think Americans are even on the radar screen, but even a Japanese expat couldn’t use this app due to the rigid region locking for the video itself.
Now, if Abema were to let me pay them through the app, in English, to stream my sumo? I would be yelling at them to shut up and take my money.

This app was ruined, it now detects VPNs. You can’t even watch with a VPN here in Japan.

Frustrating browsing experience for international users
There should be a setting that filters out the contents not available based on the geographical area. It takes time to browse and it’s frustrating to skim through the tiles not knowing if you can view it or not.
