1️⃣Terrible functionality. 2️⃣They force you into yearly plans & then hit you with a huge cancellation fee.

Push notifcations
After receiving 8 push notifications in 3 days, I deleted this app. Ain’t nobody got time for that!
Do not use this app
This app is full of horse manure. I used the trial forgot to cancel 6999 was taken from my account and at this point nobody is accountable for giving it back so I will not receive a refund. I’ve tried several times. I even tried an appeal and was still denied. I canceled the description one day after the 6999 was taken from my account. This is a bogus company and they do bad business. Do not get your money taken by them run immediately.

I am unable to open documents, it tells me I need to download the most current version, done it multiple times and still unable to read them. Now its making me add a Nickname, done it and still can’t hit submit

Constantly crashes and erases saved edits
Avoid using Acrobat on your phone or desktop. The app is highly unstable, frequently crashing during edits, and reverts files to their original state after crashes, resulting in lost changes. As a long-term customer with a business account, I regret to say that Acrobat no longer meets our reliability standards. I recommend exploring alternative solutions.

Eventually will lag for no reason
This app has no reason to be as laggy and clunky as it is. It’s been around forever and just viewing pdf text files will eventually lag requiring an uninstall and offloading all docs to temporarily “fix” the issue. These are the features we pay a monthly fee for?
Charged for free trial
I was charge by adobe for a the free trail. I encourage everyone to check their bank statements and see if they were charged. Maybe this can be a lawsuit.
Impossible to speak with a human
When you need customer service, there’s none to be had

Did a free trial, canceled and they’re still trying to charge me and have held up my entire Apple account over this?! I don’t have the subscription nor access either and haven’t since the day I canceled -which was within the time frame!
Stupid ad pops up
This stupid ad keeps popping up on my games and I fight with the ad to get it to close I hate this ad!! Fix it! If you didn’t want bad reviews don’t open the App Store automatically on ads in a game!
Very disappointed, still ideating a workaround.
June 4, 2026 want to preface by saying I am using Adobe Acrobat Reader free version with a 2017 iPad Pro and appreciate that the service has always been free however, free or paid, if a tool is not working it does not matter. Perhaps the paid version behaves better and addresses the bugs described below?
iPad Pro has no option to revert back to old version so seemingly screwed. Cannot believe that I might have to perform music this summer with pieces of paper, a music stand and a light… All of a sudden files are taking 10 seconds each to open, so cannot go quickly back-and-forth between a setlist and other songs.The app was so wonderful right up until last summer. Almost lost all the files trying to rearrange it to act better and it did for about two weeks to a month and now it’s back to slowing down when it loads PDFs almost 10 seconds again.
There must be some way to code a toggle off of all the cloud, Internet, AI, etc. tethers/bloat that appear to be lagging everything else. I know at my job they already changed to a totally different PDF reader. Also PDF list can no longer be read/seen full screen. You’re always looking at 2/3 of your list with this useless thing on the left side giving you endless redundant options that you don’t need or want. Update: will have image of set list on cellphone to not waste huge time blocks just switching between set list and song pdfs.That’s if I don’t spend another 10 minutes trying to sign in…

Can’t get rid of all the stupid AI
As it says, you cannot disable all the AI features. Useless

I have tried this app and I was very disappointed with what trial offered. Not all the features were available for me to make an informed decision to purchase it.
Issues with app
I’m trying to edit a PDF and I’ve had to redo my work five times. It keeps deleting my pages.
From best to last
Pretty much looks like one pop up add on top of another on top of another. The screen is littered with tools and various things, instead of seeing the actual PDF. Just use Preview. It just works (like Acrobat did 7 years ago).
Too many changes
I cannot do the basic things I used to do because Adobe has changed so much. Further, the app and the website/desktop ate so different I am totally frustrated.
Yeah…
This was supposed to be a one time use- now a never use again. This app has caused me so much stress just trying to edit files and share them ON A TIME CRUNCH. I have never used this before, so it’s not new-user friendly, and I only needed to use it once anyways. I could not edit it on a computer, a laptop, an iPad, and an iPhone… genuinely how? But I figured it out by switched back and forth from browser to app, (app to edit, browser to share).

No Tabbed View on iPad for multiple PDFs
Brain melted. How can this super basic feature not exist? Open multiple PDFs in different tabes so you can switch between them. How about less novelty AI and more human-centered design?

Ever since they deleted flash, it’s been trash. Just like any other app, it’s pay to win constantly. Do not get!!!
Very disappointed
I downloaded this app signed up for the 7 day subscriptions and immediately canceled it that day and they have a 3rd party company that keeps charging my credit card. I contacted Apple like they say and Apple can’t help say’s adobe uses a 3rd party. Just beware when doing the subscription even if you cancel it will still charge you every month and I can’t even get a hold of them. Had to have my credit card company get involved.
Cancelation is hard.

Exporting with markup is nearly impossible
I love the ease of marking up docs in Acrobat. But two massive issues: (1) Often (50/50%) I’ll return to a document I’ve marked up (usually a 100-page screenplay) and find that my markups have totally vanished. (2) Simply exporting a PDF WITH the markups is preposterously difficult. Can’t save as an image (only includes base doc). Can’t export to Files. I spent 1/2 hour trying to do this simple, fundamental task and ended up giving up and taking a screenshot. That’s workaround only works with a one-pager. This shouldn’t be such a chore.
Getting worse, not better
