Awful
They should not be asking for anything extra for extra work. I’m just going to stick to Modeling and Production. My boyfriend is a well known actor and he’s even confused.
Buggy and too limited
Please fix a bug where when viewing an audition detail screen there is duplicates of all the media provided by casting. These duplicates cause confusion and make it harder for actors to focus on the right things. Additionally, we should be able to filter roles and see our profile / tools in the app.

Unauthorized charge
I checked it out and wanted to try it out for a month and did not say my card, but for some reason, my car was still on file where I do not know where it was. It was where the it saved it without my permission and then charged it furthermore, with without my permission,
No announcements
Scheduled maintenance should be announced on the app as well. I had an audition due during maintenance, had you said what was happening on the app I could have scheduled accordingly. Please do better, as people depend on this service.

Upload Issue
App works in terms of finding and submitting for roles. When it comes to submitting for auditions, it’s very disappointing. Have had on many occasions where audio issues occur because recording on IPhone with the ringer silent can affect uploading on a computer. The most frustrating of all is when uploading self tapes through the phone, video will be at full bar percentage and then suddenly just disappear. Have missed out on many auditions because of this and have had to decline and explain that the app is not working. Really hope this gets solved.
Update: changed from two stars to one star as the problem has persisted ,leading to continuous missed audition opportunities and only being able to decline and leave an email in hopes for a response back. Completely unacceptable for having the yearly subscription.

Can’t see new roles
When I get a push notification that there are new roles posted for my demographic, I can’t see them no matter how many times I refresh the page or restart the app, completely close it out, I’ve had to redownload it. It’s so frustrating and then I submit later than I’d like to or have to go to the webpage which defeats the purpose of even having the app. Can this be addressed?
Lazy app
Quite frankly the laziest excuse for an app I’ve ever seen. Feels like it was made when the App Store was first released. Limited features and poorly designed UI.
App won’t let me log in
I changed my password and logged in on the website, but putting in the same credentials in the app will give me a “wrong credentials entered” message
Waste Of Time
The app is complete garbage. You can barely do anything on here and it leaves you very little options. Just go onto the website.
This app and website have never been solid
Uploading media is a nightmare. Any time casting sends files through the AA platform (audio files, videos, etc), they never work. There’s always an error or some issue trying to view a simple document. The only reliable source is when they send Dropbox or google drive links to videos. I love the convenience and the innovation behind this website, but it’s just always been horrible to interact with. Please fix your bugs and performance issues. People’s employment relies on these very basic programming functions.
Where is my profile?
This app came highly recommended, unfortunately I am unable to add or change my profile pic. Cannot add clips, because there isn’t any way I can see my profile info. Disappointed.
Useless
This app provides a partial list for role matching… and your cmail inbox…that’s it. You can’t browse breakdowns or execute any tasks?
The design is slightly more user-friendly than the desktop, but that isn’t saying much… time for a breakdown services competitor.

Essentially useless
The only thing that works is push notifications of new roles. You will not be able to see the roles unless you log into the website. They should sue the devs of this app, honestly 😆
Don’t even waste your time
I have been using this app for a little over a month. And the only thing this app has been doing is sending me a thousand notifications of supposedly new roles. But every time I look it’s the same roles. Then today when I tried to open the app. The app turned black and wouldn’t even work. I even restarted my phone (to get it to work again) thinking it was my phone. But every time I opened it It’s black and won’t let me do anything. Overall Im just really disappointed in this app. When i downloaded this app I thought I could see my whole account and access my profile. Maybe upload some videos and work on my profile on the go. But sadly you can’t even do that. I honestly don’t even see the point of having the app since it clearly doesn’t work and doesn’t allow you to do anything else but audition.
It keeps
I don’t know about anyone else! But this app keeps rebooting or won’t upload casting calls! It will completely go blank or won’t upload at all! I have to keep signing on and off or deleting the app and then putting that back on! In the hopes that it will work! There are way to many problems with the new one! Would love the old app/website back!

The app was bad before the new update, but now it's unusable. When I go to the Cmail option, I get "Something went wrong. Unable to load Cmail. Please try again." I have, repeatedly. Including deleting and reinstalling app.
When I try to submit, I get the following error "Couldn't load breakdown." Every. Single. Time.
Honestly, to any actor reading this, just rely on getting the breakdown emails and using the actual website, even on a phone. This app is trash.

No longer works
I have been using that app consistently now for a while. After the update it no longer works. It will tell me that there are new roles and then when I open the app, there is nothing new there. It was so convenient and now I have to go back to going online and logging in setting my role preferences and then doing a search.

They just advertised a new update that finally INCLUDES Cmail…and it still doesn’t work. The app still manages to be less organized and glitchier than the website itself, which is saying something. This website continues to be the industry standard out of nothing else than tradition. They made aesthetic changes to the login page but as soon as you log in…the same old same old. Cmail is clunky at best, Eco Casts are disorganized, and the submission form for breakdowns STILL opens up a pop up after all these years. You can’t put it all on the same page?? They continue not to be able to keep up with demand, and they’ll be phased out soon if they don’t update.

I enjoy actors access, but you literally can’t do anything on this app.
Can’t see my cmail, can’t see any breakdowns, can’t see auditions, can’t manage photos, resume, or anything personal details. I literally see two tabs and both are empty despite all the cmail, breakdowns, and auditions I have.
I feel like someone started to build this app and then just stopped. At which point, it should really be removed from the stores.

Poor performing App
I had high hopes for this app but it has some sort of glitch. I receive a notification for a new role and when you click on it it shows the same roles that have already been there for weeks, nothing new appears. It’s really disappointing. Hope they fix this.

They shouldn't even offer an app! You can't see any castings, any email your agent sent you, you can't view your post auditions! Why do they even have this!?!?
Terrible Phone app
Actors Access is a fantastic site for actors, but this app is terrible. You are better off accessing actors access from Safari. They need a major rehaul on this app.

Actors No-Access
This app has two features (three if you include the log-out button). One for “role matches” and one for “auditons”.
The roles matches tab has literally nothing on it except a message that says “you have no role matches” and the auditions tab says “you have no scheduled auditions”. SUUUPER helpful.
Considering the fact that this is a fairly predatory audition platform (making you pay individually for any media you want to add) it’s truly disgusting how bad the app is.
In case I wasn’t clear enough, you will NOT be able to find any auditions through this app. If you insist on using actors access, you might as well save yourself the memory on your phone and just access it online.
OR you can just use Backstage and save yourself all the hassle in general 😂

The app doesn’t work. Even after confirming that I’ve done everything required to see breakdowns on the app it still never populated breakdowns of any kind. I even get notifications that there are breakdowns that match my profile only to open the app to the message there are no breakdowns that match my profile. Very disappointing that this app is so unreliable.
Does not show my current auditions
What is the point of this app if it doesn’t even show my current auditions? Says I have zero when I have a confirmed guest star audition for Fuqua’s The Resident on the website. This app be krap.

Actors Access needs alot of work
I appreciate the service however your app is terrible. I log in and it says I have no auditions nor any matching roles however the website says something very different. I’ve downloaded the app twice hoping it would be different but I am finding that it is not. I just use the website instead. It would be helpful (since I’m on the go alot) to have a user friendly app on our phones to check auditions and submit for them. The website needs some help also.
Wont Refresh Roles
My app has been stuck on roles from May for months. It’s now the end of July and it won’t load any new roles. I’m a paid subscriber to the website version and can’t use this app at all. Very frustrating that I can’t check new roles throughout the day and I PAY for this.
USELESS APP
On the website I have SO MANY roles I can apply for… and the app shows NONE of them. Gets stuck on the No Roles To Show You screen… useless!!!! Incredibly disappointing since that leaves me having to apply on my computer instead of being able to submit for roles on the go.
Terrible software - Zero Customer Service
It’s so frustrating to use this app. It’s nearly impossible to upload files. My suggestion - look for the same call on Backstage and submit that way.

App only shows it’s preselected matches based on your profile login, which usually don’t load. What a dumb app
Horrible App
This app does nothing but take up space. It literally does NOTHING! No access to auditions my agent sends me. I have to go to their website all the time. Don’t bother using it. Any positive comments are fake and probably from the developer.

It’s great to get notifications that remind you to check AA, but the roles that appear on the app are often incomplete. I’ve thought several times that I applied to all of the roles that fit my description, only to find that the website has a longer list.
I think it would be great to have filters in the app like we do on the AA website. I’d like to filter to see what union breakdowns fit me. I do not want to have to sift through non-union breakdowns on the app if that is something I’m not interested in viewing.

Waste of space
The app doesn’t update frequently and has NEVER notified me of an audition. The website is the best bet.

Role matching does not work
I’ve had this app for several months and it has never showed a matching role even there have been quite a few in that time. It says it has to match age to play, gender to play, and ethic appearance to match a role. Well, it’s set in my profile and it matches what’s in roles but no matches appear in the app. It looks like it hasn’t been updated since last year, not even for iOS15 so maybe that’s part of the problem. But right now it is useless to me. It would be nice if it at least gave the ability to search breakdowns but it doesn’t even do that.
The Videos don’t have sound when viewing them
After submitting for the project the slate shots have no sound. Or even when your picking a headshot no sound.

EcoCast?!
There’s no way to access Eco Cast Auditions on this app. As we are deep into a pandemic and more auditions are self tapes than ever, you’d think AA would have made that accessible with their app.

I hav an active account on the site m, complete with profile, headshots, résumé and demo reel, that my agents use for my submissions. None of these things show up in the app. Not even the auditions that I actually have eco casts for show up under the “auditions” tab.
If they managed to make it work and somehow make the interface good to make submissions with the phone, this could be a game changer. Until then, we’re left with this sorry excuse fir what might’ve been.

Practically no functionality
I wished they would update their website to one with responsive design, because anything that is really useful is there. The app doesn’t even have a search function, and the only functional use it has my booking agent takes care of.
