It’s a very engrossing game. Lots of actual gameplay and an interesting storyline. Unlike most gacha games, the story keeps continuing since there is a new story every season. That and the overall design is what keeps me playing, even though I find it to be the worst gacha game I’ve played in terms of character draws. I very, very, very rarely beat pity. Now, I come to expect it, but in the beginning it was as frustrating as you would expect. It still makes me kinda angry, but there are so many other things about the game I enjoy.

Trash
It’s worse than AFK Arena and there’s no balancing. The devs need to go back to school since they couldn’t get it right with two games now. Avoid this trash if you want to have fun!
Poor advertising
They use AI for their ads, and on top of that, almost all the ads sexualize their characters which is the most generic and unoriginal way to advertise. Instead of showing gameplay or cinematics for their ads, they choose the least viable route that is overall uninteresting and actually drives players away.
Glitch
It keeps telling me it’s loading finished loading then crashes and is making my whole phone crash
App stopped working
I have a brand new iPad A16 and have been enjoying this game for months now. I tried starting it up this morning and it just freezes on the loading screen. I can’t get support in the app because the whole thing is frozen. Please update asap, this is my favorite mobile game. :(

The amount of AI advertisements is insane
It keeps getting worse
I have no clue how they do it, but every season has been more frustrating then the last, I feel bad for the art and story team, they are the only ones keeping this mess of a game together, they have managed to make even opening the game feel like a chore
New Update Ruined Guilds
Been playing for 3 years with 311 mil box. The most recent update completely destroyed guild viability, one of the only ways to obtain in-game currency to get the SS/highest tier characters. Uninstalling.
Negative balance issue
Overall the game is fun and enjoyable but the issue that’s thrown me off the game entirely is its buying system. I’m on iPhone for reference; I’d click on the options of items they offered but never actually bought anything. My phone would say transaction not accepted but I randomly got an account restriction for 18 days. I contacted help only to get that I basically have to fix my negative balance by paying money or it’ll be restricted again for even longer. I’ve spent money on the game so it’s really disappointing and frustrating to say the least; Plus the time I’ve spent on it only made me feel more bitter about it.
I was Really Far
Like the title says. I used to be really far in this game since starting preorder day then the developers decided to make a new version for it and completely wiped my data just like a million+ other people. This game is a scam and so are the developers.
I do not normally write reviews but I gladly will for this game so nobody plays it and if they do then you have been warned about game data deletion at some point for all of your work.

What a bummer :(
I am honestly heartbroken at what an awful and pointless waste of time this game has become to me. I genuinely LOVED playing this game. Then suddenly it just crashes every time i open it. I have spent the better part of 3 weeks now downloading, redownloading, repairing, reset/repairing along with 2 completely irritating attempts to interact with customer support over this issue. Neither attempts were of any help at all.. and im certain this will be of no consequence either; yet i would like for it to be known this is what happens to this game’s loyal fans. I am baffled that such an oversight could happen without recourse. The last update from you folks is the reason it suddenly refused to work on my system. It has always run without issue until then. If i may also add, telling a person who is COMPLETELY unable to go past the login screen that they should “adjust the games graphics” is beyond aggravating. If this is how your game is permitted to exist- i assume it’s not worth another moment of my time or money. You guys stink. I’m going to start trying out your competitors now i guess… so lame.

Attention Overload
There is so much garbage on the screen, so many different currencies to lose track of, and so much to mindlessly click through that I eventually realized I didn’t even know what was going on anymore. I was basically in a mindless trance, just clicking on whatever had a notice. Absolute brain rot.
Can’t play
I’m new. Downloaded this game to give it a try. Soon as I open it I see the logos for fairlight games and lilith and then BLACK screen. Very odd. I have plenty of storage and an iPhone 16 pro. Guess I’ll uninstall. Shame the game ads looked fun. But if I cant play the game I cant give a good review. 🤷♂️

AI Slop For Ads
I was going to redownload this game, but since you’re using AI slop to make fake ads on other social media of this game… that shows how much this game has gone downhill. I’m VERY disappointed. You guys are WAY better than this.
Not fun
The gameplay loop is unenjoyable and the changes they did to include the pointless homestead system detracts from the fun of the game. It really was cramming a pointless feature into a game where it didn’t belong. Weird.

i really liked this game until they did an update and i lost my account. i’ve tried logging in every way i can possibly think of and i can’t find my old account. their customer service isn’t helpful either. never playing again since my account will probably just be deleted again.

I love playing this game but it ridiculous the amount of storage it asking for. Almost 60gb for a MOBILE game. The game is not a full fledge console game and it is asking for so much storage. I deleted so many things and it continues to ask for more memory

The stealth quests in this game are the most annoying things ever and it makes me not want to continue lol

Just like the title u love the game how it used to be, with fights and different characters. But I redownloaded the game and it made me do a tutorial on how to farm and level things up like one of the games depicted in adds, I deleted it almost immediately. It used to be a nice AFK type game where you could play it while doing smth else, but now it’s an add riddled game and it’s just not great like it used to be…

Deleted app once I couldn’t at least one shard to upgrade Frieren. I’ll download the app once that’s possible or the collab returns. Until then, goodbye 👋

This started out as a fun past the time game, but after the last few updates all I really get is a crash here and a crash there. This new update is even worse, no matter what, I haven’t got more than 30 seconds into it before another crash. Maybe this isn’t meant for me to play anymore

Predatory
With the new patch, it’s evident that the developers are looking to squeeze as much money out of the player as possible. It’s a good game, but be prepared to spend a lot of money to be competitive at all.

Nearly every game mode earns rewards from leaderboards, you need increasingly more copies of heroes to rank well, they keep adding more ways for the highest spenders to get more advantage.
Getting extra copies of heroes beyond S+ was changed to give a very hefty PvP bonus a while ago, and in 1.7 they are expanding that further with more investment items. The game has no way for free players (or even low to mid players) to compete in PvP at all anymore, and this also extends to doing worse in other game modes as well.
I was a low-mid spender for about a year and a half. With their new changes I won’t be spending anymore. They are determined to lose all player retention and keep trying to suck money from the whales and krakens.
Characters and art is good, story is okay, having a customizable character is nice, game itself is copy-paste best teams to rank on leaderboards and very little “fun” is involved. PvP would offer strategy but that is being further and further removed for spending more money instead.

Sad
I love the story and the characters and customization, but I am disappointed that I only had one Shapeshifting Scroll, as I was unaware there was a limit, and now I’m stuck with my MC being a girl, and I don’t like how the girl version looks. I was also disappointed that there are never any Scrolls given for free in events, and that they’re only obtained via purchases, which is saddening for those of us who like to make multiple character designs. Hopefully this may change in the future, as I’m f2p, and will only spend if in dire need. Thanks.

gameplay isnt very interesting to me personally but the story is intriguing and the art style is beautiful so its had me hooked, just disappointing to keep seeing blatantly AI ads for the game on tiktok, does not inspire confidence in their quality control or values

I have a brand new ipad with free storage. It can hardly handle this game shutting down after clicking the mill even.
Liked it but came back after a year and my progress is gone
Tried to do all my emails and log in and on my original device but no luck. All just went to the beginning. I’m done. Went all the way to the fields and then the island arcs but it had no new updates so I just forgot. But saw fieran after a year so tried to log in again. Nothing. Apple, Gmail, all my emails, nada. Customer support was a bot. I’m a bit sad because I liked Merlin and fieran and did spend money before but I’m done. I quit. It’s just aggravating to start again. I even re downloaded it three times.
Restarts every 5 seconds
I downloaded the game only because of recent collab with an anime but the app freezes and restarts every 5 seconds I play. I read recent reviews with dev replying back with suggestions. I did everything I could but won’t be playing until they fix this problem. It’s a shame the visuals are really nice

The game is amazing I think is absolutely positively awesome. I just would love if you guys added love interest. And it doesn’t have to be like a thing where you have to find someone to marry or something, but it would be nice if given the choice and it would be nice if it’s not a bunch of wifefu but more like equally in for the LGBTQ plus people maybe you can add something nfor them too. That would just be awesome in general I think it was just all around being really fun to explore that and I feel like you should have a full bit of an option for every character you give us well at least anyways have a wonderful day. Hopefully, you see my feedback.🥰
Amazing Game Only One Huge Issue..
I LOVED AFK Journey and it turned out to be one of my favorite games. There were a few small bugs and glitches but I didn’t mind too much. However, after a big update I went to log on and it said I didn’t have enough storage so the game wouldn’t run as smoothly. Again, I didn’t mind and clicked update. Then it would not let me play the game because of my storage. I deleted EVERYTHING I had but it still wouldn’t let me play. The same thing happened to my friend who, in the process, got logged out of their account and couldn’t log back in.
I can barely use the app
This game alone currently uses 17 GB of storage and it still wont open. When it does let me play theres a big chance it will crash halfway through any activity. If I want to keep up with the story I am forced to read the wiki page rather than play, I mainly open the app for any crossover events anyways or collect any rewards. Even now I cant do that as I dont even have the storage for its decompressing files much less any cutscenes in the past.
App is way too buggy on iPad 9th gen
The app crashes after starting a battle although im only on the first levels. When I also click on things in the menu it crashes. Other than that good game.
