I just downloaded this app and entered all of the information and was recommended a daily calorie level that is medically irresponsible. This app needs to review its algorithm before it encourages people to harm their health! Obviously, I will not continue using the app.

I don't recommend it, because it freezes very frequently.

Now my phone has been updated and the application did not open, I had to update the application (after that it still does not open, only with VPN, but it takes a long time to load I'm from Russia, this is the best calorie counting app (yes, 50% of Russians choose this app, although FatSecret is free).
Now I don't know how to use this application. It looks too colorful, bright, you don't want to use it, it has become comfortable.

App not usable since the last update
Bloated Mess
This was 5 stars for me until whatever update brought the stupid “food tips” page. Get rid of the “food tips” window that pops up EVERY ENTRY. It’s so annoying. Tracking is already a hassle that I’m paying for an app to make easier. Why add extra time and steps. It should be an option we can turn OFF. People on Facebook and Reddit are complaining about this all the time. If it’s not gone at the time of my renewal I’m jumping ship.

If I could give it zero stars I would. The fasting option is only good. I’ve gained weight since I started. I’m watching what I eat. No I’m not exercising but I go to college and work 40+ hours. I’m trying to balance that life with home and trying to exercise but with me watching what I eat I shouldn’t have gained weight from Feb 28,2026 to now (5/2/2926)

Абсолютно сырое, недоработанное приложение, если была бы возможность попробовать бесплатную версию - никогда бы не купила! Пользоваться абсолютно не удобно! Ии не работает, штрихкоды считывает один из 10 продуктов, то что вбиваешь вручную- не сохраняет! Изменить количество грамм в том что уже занесено в дневник - невозможно! Постоянно вылетают ненужные советы и какие-то рекомендации- тратишь уймы времени чтобы это все закрыть - отнимает кучу времени. Ваше приложение полный отстой!

Long intake process
I’m just trying to teach my meals not have my motivations analyzed. There was no way to skip the insanely long onboarding process to just get in and get a feel for the app. Also no free trial? No thank you!
Greed ruined the app
The developer keeps changing the flow so that there is no way you can avoid having the paid version shoved down your throat. Absolutely terrible human-hating UX
Calorie tracking sucks
I’ve tried to keep track of my calories on here a couple of times an every time they are severely off. When I try to fix them or put my info on them or create my own item it won’t let me. I find it very over priced for what you’re getting. There are much better apps out there like “lose it” that are cheaper and work way better.

Stopped using it & cancelled got hit with renewal charge
I paid for a year of this app, didn’t like it, decided to not renew, deleted app months ago, just saw I was again charged an annual renewal & I don’t see any way to reverse it. I use another app now I prefer so this is literally just wasted money. Whatever you do, don’t use the paid version. They will use deceptive practices to keep charging you renewals without consent or notice. The paid version is no better than the free version anyway tbh. There are way better apps for this.

Does not Sync Garmin Data
Update: 3/2026: App no more syncs with Garmin watches. Worked with support, but eventually they ended up looping back on a standard template of answer.
I used to love this app, and bought a full year subscription last April. It did help me lose a few pounds. But since October-September, the app has become very annoying to use. I have connected Garmin and Yazio, but every time I open the app, I get a popup to connect Garmin. The new UI Is chunky and very uninviting. Please make the app look slick. My paid subscription runs through April 2026, but they show sticky tab to renew the subscription already, you can’t remove it. They took away challenges feature where you could easily track how many days without certain things like chocolate or sugar, which was motivating, they said they’re replacing with something exciting, but haven’t seen any update on that. Overall, I am pretty disappointed in how the company decided to ruin the experience for a paid member. I am sure free members must be unhappy too looking at the UI alone. Hope they’ll figure it out and make this app usable again.

Poor food data base and bad AI scanning
The whole collective of 3-4 days of using the app, it did not fail to have maybe 10-15 percent in its data base of what I was consuming.
They make you input all of the details of the food item down to the vitamin and mineral percentage as well as the whole source manufacturer information.
This is something that should already be done by the app before even launching it and asking people to pay for it, like always get the major stores and put their items into your system. The overall app is just a lazy backend system designed to let the people who use it build the data base and do all of the small work while they get paid for it.
The AI can’t get any worse as well… imagine me typing into the AI description box, of the foods exacts macro, and it still giving me some wack numbers for the macros… like I quite literally gave u the answer and u still got it wrong??? How can I trust this thing to scan my food and even give me a remote accurate nutritional value.

Terrible, useless app
I only had this app a few days and had to cancel. It’s horrible, not useful at all and not as easy as my Fitbit app. It was difficult even to log my food, and too many pop ups and notifications. It couldn’t even be used without paying for it, and I probably won’t get a refund. I’ll stick with my Fitbit.

Money Hungry..
Don’t get me wrong, I love this app however, I had it before it had any other features and yes they did still have a few things here and there you’d have to pay for but I had easy access to tons of recipes and workout routine for FREE. keep that word in mind. Now everything costs money. You can’t even access one recipe without them asking for 50 bucks. Ridiculous i’m highly upset.

Так же приложение работает в фоновом режиме 24/7 ,несмотря на то что ты ставишь ограничение по работе приложения ему абсолютно плевать. Разряжает телефон, пользуется 90% данными устройства. Абсолютно не рекомендую
Ухудшение качества
После одного из обновлений появилась навязчивая реклама - после добавления продукта ее невозможно закрыть: либо смотришь, либо перезапускай приложение (что проще). Так же убрали возможность записывать продукты на следующий день, хотя раньше она была. Функционал стал хуже, поэтому перешел на Fatsecret

The same situation happened in each section: first the 5% then the 75%.
What completely discouraged me from using this app is the recipe feature. I don't know how many portions homemade bread has, I know that my piece is 40grams. Why can I exclusively log in portions (which display no weight)?
All in all, incredibly predatory advertising. If I may have considered buying a subscription at first, the multiple pop-ups and the food logging system have simply driven me to deleting the app

Can’t open the app after updating
It stuck at startup page and can’t open the app. After a while it opens but adding food is still very slow. Something wrong with your networking because all of other apps are working just fine.
Occasionally does not start
I like the app overall, but recently I can only use it 60% of the time - it often fails to start, just getting stuck on the splash screen. Please fix.

Cataloguing issues
The food recognition is impressive, but it's frustrating that adding new items is still completely manual. Entering name, carbs, fats, etc. defeats the purpose of having Al in the first place.

The mascot and interruptions are annoying
The app functions fine overall but the constant interruptions forcing me to listen to their advice and the mascot are extremely frustrating. It disrupts the experience to the point that I am considering switching to another app because it has become unbearable.

My biggest gripe is the IF tracker does not actually track when you eat. You have to manually edit your fasting start time if you eat outside of your set window. I do not eat at the same time everyday (Idk anyone who does who isn’t retired) because I do not have a regimented schedule. If I break fast late, I need a tracker that will adjust when I track my food. I shouldn’t have to track food AND manually adjust my fasting time. The eating window should automatically adjust. I know this because there are plenty of apps that do it. Wish I hadn’t paid for the year. It’s annoying to use.
ANNOYING
They need to allow us to turn off the annoying pop ups, reminders, and tips. Such a waste of time. I don’t need or want to have to click through these slow pop ups and animations every time I want to input stuff.
