literally why do i have to invite a friend for ANY of my top artists to show on my profile when i quite literally already invited one (and yes they joined using my link) why are monthly recaps a PAID feature now? greed ruins nice apps like this and im sad it finally got to airbuds btw on ipad u literally cant change ur pfp on ipad it doesnt work
Subscription Service
Added a subscription service to pay wall over half of the features, I'm sure ads would have been enough for their funding but they decided to be greedy. I'm already paying a subscription to listen to music I don't want to pay another so people know what I'm listening to. 😂 Was fun while it lasted

I would have rated this app a 5 star untill this last week. I understand why you guys are making us share to unlock more artists, but REMOVING artists from my top 4, when I ALREADY shared with friends to get those 3 artists is diabolical. How many friends do you think I have? This new update makes me want to delete the entire app. Removing artist slots that I already shared links for is diabolical. If I share to five more friends, will you just remove my artists again the next update? Not to mention everyone I know already has Airbuds. This is the worst update and I’d rather have a corner ad than this.

The unneeded demand for a subscription
Whenever I first got the app it was because I wanted to track my music with my friends and get an accurate gauge on just how much i listen to and other stats. However, as of recently it’s occurred to me that there’s been updates, stylistic wise the app looks slightly better than before (as geared towards my iPhone update) but on a broader range I truly believe that there’s no need for me to pay just so i can look back on just how diverse my music genre has changed. The rise of subscriptions in apps that DON’T need it must be stopped along with the corporate greed that dwells within it.

Issues in the questions section
The questions section, which should be the most fun, is full of inappropriate comments. The problem is that there's no way to block those who post them or access their profiles to report them. Moderation tools need to be added to maintain a safe environment.

I think that the new airbuds star subscription is a cheap cash grab and that it destroys the whole premise of the app. Making people pay to see the history that was once free is genuinely stupid and pathetic. it sickens me how greedy this company has become. i’ve had this app for years, and now you’re making us pay to see our history? This is literally evil corporate greed.

i’ve been on airbuds for nearly three years now, having joined in mid 2023. for all that time, i’ve loved it. being able to see stats like how many minutes i listen to music each week, what tracks im repeating, and seeing what i have in common with my friends are all great qualities that the app provides. however, recently i have had zero interest in using airbuds. ever since they added in airbuds star, the whole app is plagued with constant requests for me to pay, and constant reminders of the features i’m missing out on for not paying. i understand money is needed to keep the app running, but it just feels so demanding that it’s significantly lowered my enjoyment of the app. on top of this, i feel irritated at the prioritization of gaining new users over maintaining enjoyment for older users. i’ve invited all of my friends to the app, and have at least four “credits” saved up on the unlock features page, and i’m sure the same goes for plenty of other people who have been using the app since its early days. however, none of the new features from the airbuds star subscription are exchangeable with credits, which i feel is unfair to those who have been waiting to be able to do more with that credit. overall, the app just feels like another cash grab music stats app, and no longer the fun social app it used to be. a good app at its core, but not one i have any interest in continuing to use.

New update took away my weekly favorite artist ranking even though I already unlocked it about two years ago but now it's saying I need to invite more friends and get a subscription to unlock it now. Loved the app before this but looks like they're moving towards a more money hungry strategy
Great app but PLEASE cut back on asking for money
Airbuds is (or atleast was) an amazing app, and it was refreshing to see such a new idea worked on by people who truly care. However, as of the recent update there has been a severe drop in quality. The once simplistic screen is cluttered with premium features and ads, trying to get people to pay for things they once had for free. I understand the Airbuds team needs some way to profit from the app, but if this continues users are going to start leaving. It’s such a great way to socialize with friends and it has been wonderful watching the app evolve over the past year, and I really don’t want this app to become insignificant due to it being polluted with ads and in app purchases. Please listen to your fans! I’m writing this because I care.
Not able to use Amazon Music
Hello, I downloaded this app and it wouldn’t let me sign in using my Amazon Music. I uninstalled Amazon Music and Airbuds multiple times and it still wasn’t letting me sign in. I checked my info on the website and it said that it was all up to date. I looked up what the issue was, and tried everything everyone else did, and still, nothing. Do you have any idea what it is? Is it a bug, or is it just my account? Thank you.
