Is so many things that older people like me don’t understand . Now the app is going crazy not getting the clicks I made and not recording so I’m paying money basically for nothing, and is not really technical support and if you need extra help you being charged for almost 60 dollars definitely if you’re older and not familiar with technology don’t get the app unless you’re willing to pay extra all the time.

Connection is slow. My WiFi device is 20 feet away and it says the connection is weak. If you change your WiFi it is difficult to re add the door bell. Also our second line stopped getting notifications. Being able to connect the temp control is great.

Worst “Smart Home” System I’ve Ever Used
This app and smart lock system are an absolute disaster. Our apartment installed these “smart” locks that are supposed to open through the phone app, but the app almost NEVER works. Out of 10 attempts, maybe 1 works if you’re lucky. Most of the time I’m standing outside wasting time typing a long 6-digit code like it’s 2005.
The worst part is that we were not even given physical keys as a backup. So when the app fails, which is constantly, you’re forced to rely on a broken system with no reliable alternative.
What makes this even worse is that sometimes the unlock command goes through much later after we already left the apartment. If the app fails and you manually unlock the door another way, the original phone command does NOT automatically cancel. Apparently you have to manually cancel it yourself, assuming the app even gives you that option. There were situations where nobody was home and the door unlocked later by itself because of a delayed command. That is not just inconvenient, it’s a serious security issue.
The gate system is also terrible. Sometimes the gate randomly stops working late at night when I’m coming home, forcing me to make a huge detour for absolutely no reason.
When we contacted the office, we were told the locks should be connected to home internet because of “connection issues.” I don’t even have home internet, and I highly doubt every resident has dedicated home Wi-Fi just to make a door lock function properly. A smart lock should work reliably on its own without residents having to troubleshoot the company’s broken system.
This is not “smart home” technology. It’s unreliable, frustrating, poorly designed, and honestly embarrassing for a company claiming to provide convenience and security. A regular physical key would work better and more consistently than this entire setup.

The worst I can give it. Light switches get hot, the app buttons work when they want to or until you physically switch them on or off. Notifications are always late.
Fix thermostat setting temperature size….
Can no longer read the thermostat because you made the digit smaller on my iPhone 16, which is plenty big to have digits larger digits, which they used to have now they are small please fix. I cannot read them at night without reaching for There is no setting that I can find in the phone on this app to make them larger
App stopped recording
Honestly this whole app sucks. It stopped recording everything. We no longer receive notifications even with them being set up. And lastly, all the stupid fire alarms you put in that’s synced up with the house, we’re mostly defective and also didn’t work.
ADT would’ve been one of them top
A lot of miscommunication and the smoke detector they practically forced to install was going in every other with ZERO reason. Were sleep at night and it goes-which caused the cops to come out to my front door but there as nothing
Sucks
Been asking them for almost 2 years to add a delete all tab, so it doesn’t take an hour to individually delete all the saved doorbell cam pictures, but no dice. About to switch companies as this is a simple fix with no response

I can not organize the “doors” …having to scroll/swipe just to open the gate is annoying. I should be able to organize the “access options” to fit my preference. If anything they should be lined vertically on the Home Screen.

Alarm.com app is poor. I use it at one property and compared to Ring.com I use at a different place it is very bad. Wish it was as good as Ring.com

Cameras rarely capture what needs to be seen. “Monthly quota” is frequently hit which means nothing new records. There are better and cheaper systems out there

Cameras won’t pickup anything as motion day or night, recording only records at time of incident not 10-15secs before like they advertised. Had had a tech out twice to resolve the issue and mysteriously our cameras only function properly when a tech is here or we’re on the phone with customer service. Door, window, C02, and smoke alarms are perfect. But the cameras and recording abilities are absolute trash. Only keeping the service going simply because we’re under contract. GOING BACK TO RING!!!
No notifications
The app absolutely will NOT push any notifications to my phone. No motion, no doorbell ring, etc etc. Completely pointless.

I have smart arming set to arm at 1am and disarm at 5am but I can’t manage it from this app. Not hard to do to make the web access and mobile access the same. Fix it!

When I select saved videos and delete them, they will automatically reappear again and again. I have to delete multiple times. Seriously thinking of other products.
Awful bug
App worked generally well before today. After force quitting and redownloading it I am still unable to use the app to disarm my system. It tries to send the command but constantly fails despite the fact I have a strong internet connection. This is not on inconvenient but could potentially be a safety issue.

It’s been 3 years since our system was installed and I still don’t have access to all my zones. No one seems to be able to figure it out or cares. It’s ridiculously expensive for a subpar service. I wish we never signed on with them. The worst.
