I originally had a very positive review and honestly, this place SUCKS. Don’t bother ordering for pick up because insta cart is absolutely trash. They will not substitute my items (probably due to laziness) and now I have to go into the store and grab the items (items that are not sold out, they just didn’t bother looking). I have repeatedly tried to get help through the app and all I can get to is a help page through insta cart where I can’t even get help because it’s just information on previous issues.

Needs a lot of work
OK, here goes. I prefer the shopping store. It on list mode and because at the moment, according to the computer, I can tell you how many times the computers been wrong. You’re out of the item even though I’m not going to Aldi’s for another week couple days something like that I can’t put it on my list because the computer says you’re out of it. This is extremely annoying. For someone who just wants to know how much her grocery bills just gonna be I don’t care if you’re out of it or not I don’t trust that till I get in the store Anyway I wanna be able to add it. I’ve circumvented this a little bit by switching stores and adding from their inventory, but that bit me in the butt because it stopped adding the price one time the other problem is there certain things that you never have an inventory despite the fact that I know you carry it like my Aldi’s in union in Memphis you have Starbucks knock off coffee drinks, but they aren’t in the app and I can’t add them to my grocery list the other thing is, I cannot add fresh herbs. I know you carry them. You have about four different types, but you do not have them in the app if you don’t. If you don’t want Instacart to pick them up fine just put them in so people can add them to the grocery list. I know the approximate price so I usually just write a separate list of what’s not in the ALDI app I I know you carry. It’s extremely annoying and would be really helpful to have everything. On one list. Another thing the list needs to work on is it keeps splitting the produce between two different sections that’s very annoying. Put everything in one category.
Bad App
I saved 3 recipes on the app. I was unable to access them. I couldn’t even open the dinner recipes. I could see that I saved the recipes but could not open them. Completely worthless.

Glitches way too much
This app SUCKS. Every time I go to place a new item in my cart everything else disappears. If I have my cart ready after 63 times of trying to create it, if I change the quantity on an item EVERYTHING DISAPPEARS AGAIN! If I make a list of all the groceries I need and add my list to my cart. And want to add one extra item? Guess what? Everything in my cart disappears again. This app is a disgrace.
Instacart for this store is very bad
I do not recommend using Instacart delivery from Aldi. Very bd experiences. They will deliver you moldy produce and they will forget to deliver items

It keeps saying something went wrong and you’ve been notified but you haven’t fixed it
No Shopping Cart Available!
I’m not sure what happened, but all of a sudden there is NO shopping cart option. Anytime I try to “add to cart” it just adds it to a list. When I select to add all list items to my cart it says it does BUT THERE IS NO CART ANYWHERE! I literally cannot even shop. This is super frustrating!
Awful update
They updated this app and it’s been mediocre at best when doing a pickup order.
Why change it?
Why is it every time i update the app it gets worse! Stop changing it, you’re just making it less user friendly & outright terrible to use.

The store on White-settlement Rd is not available to select in the app.

Can’t password reset, can’t create account. Directed to instacart that directs to Aldi.

Now, when I open the app, it says:

However… there is No Update Available in the App Store.
You folks really need to test your “updates” better, before releasing them… I can’t be the only one with this issue.

The store that’s been open for 5 years isn’t on the Aldi App
The Aldi nearest to me has been in business for 5 years but for some reason it isn’t available on the app. It doesn’t even show up but locations 40 miles from here show up. And they haven’t been open half as long as the one in my town. Frustrating and inconsistent.
App doesn’t reflect inventory
I checked the app to see what store still had inventory of an item I wanted. I drove to the store (1h away) and everything was gone even though the app still showed inventory after multiple refreshing. Very frustrating!

Updated app today. Try to launch and all I get is “Something went wrong… try again”. Running iPhone 15 Max Pro.
Can’t use the app
Can’t use the app. Trying to go and it tells me the app needs an update. There is NO UPDATE available. Trying to resolve the problem by uninstalling the app and uploading it again. That didn’t work either. I live close to 2 hours away from the nearest store. I’m not driving all the way not knowing if I can get the things I want.
This app is frustrating
1. When I click in the email to see the ad it takes me to a page with a 504 error message then when I go to the website to access the ad I get sent to the ap that wants me to update the app, I click on install, it takes me to the App Store that just say open (not update) and when I click on that takes me back to the page that says you must update the app.

Poor execution on orders
I love Aldi but the functionality of this app is terrible. It allows you to order anything regardless of whether it’s available or not. Most orders don’t get fulfilled or they are fulfilled improperly. The shoppers don’t reach out when there are subs or not enough quantity. There is no way to cancel your order when it’s wrong or get a refund. They completed a sale I didn’t want that was an incorrect substitution and never refunded my money.
Pop ups
Never fails that everytime I want to check out the weekly ads on the app, it sends me to my browser. What is the point of the app?
Weekly ads are no longer viewable within the app.
I am requesting the ability to view the weekly sales ad within your application. Previously, this functionality was operational. However, following the recent update to your application, accessing the ad now redirects me to Safari.
Does not work on older versions
I do not know why Aldi has a new app, version 10.14.0 that WILL NOT work on Apple phones older than version 17. What does Aldi think, all their customers can afford $1000.00 dollar plus phones??? How inconsiderate!
App version issue
If you have an older IPhone with IOS under 17.0 you will no longer be able to use the Aldi App. I’m not upgrading my phone to use your app. It’s your loss of business. Sheetz App is the same way and they lost some of my business.

Too much change geared for online
UPDATE: just offloaded the app because 1.03 GB is too big for such an app. Other grocer apps are much smaller. Plus the app is no longer friendly for viewing this week and upcoming Aldi finds.
I had previously reviewed the former new app. I agree with the current reviews. Bring back the list feature as now it’s too cumbersome to find and remember the Aldi finds we want. With this new app it’s easier to just browse at the store itself. Not everyone shops online and wants to add things to the cart. At the very least a “view print flyer” feature needs to be made available. There needs to be a form to give feedback about the app, not just the store or products.
What I said before below about the app size stands especially with this newest update that is obviously geared to online shoppers - who btw most likely shop via third parties anyways.

Name needs fixed
Name under icon was fine until the most recent updates. Not it’s just a string of words that don’t fit under the icon.
Why have guest checkout if you need to sign in?
I had to sign in, and when I signed in, it completely cleared my cart that took 20 minutes to put together. After re-entering everything in while signed in and forced me to sign in again then had an authentication error, which cleared my cart again.

App is Buggy
I absolutely love this store, no complaints. The prices are so nice since Americas economy is out of control. However the app is buggy, I could not press the “let us know you’ve arrived” button so I had to go inside and wait in a very long line to get my curbside order. Feedback page also does not work so that is why I’m leaving this review.

Get Rid of the Hovering Cart Bubble
Why would anyone move the cart icon from the standard upper right-hand corner static position to a bubble in main screen area? It blocks what you’re trying to look up.
Secondly, the weekly ad is no longer accessible directly in the app. It links out to the web which makes the app even less of a benefit.
Pictures of items and labels never were very good but now they’re badly worthless with many items showing no images at all.
The new app looks like Wegman’s app which isn’t anything the brag about. So far, I much prefer the previous layouts and UI. Even Walmart gets it right and their prices are beating Aldi.

Negative ⭐️ for the “updated” app. The change in the iso requirements has made this app inaccessible to me. Please make the version before this update available to those of us who have older phones. This “update” prohibits access to an app that I had previously used on a weekly basis. Thanks for nothing.
Doesn’t Work
We got a new local store so I downloaded the app to see products and prices. I continued in the app as a guest. After I entered my zip code and picked a store it went to how to shop (pickup, etc.) which I had already chosen. Then it keeps me in a loop of how to shop, my zip code, and where to shop. Went through it 5-6 times. Really disappointed - I was looking forward to seeing what Aldi had to offer.
Oh yeah, when I click on the app support below it takes me to the app - and the NEVER ENDING LOOP.

Prices are always wrong
I had given the app a three star rating but now it’s down to one :(. It’s nearly impossible to make a shopping list. Shopping list keeps disappearing and going back to zero items.
Ios 17 now required
I enjoy shopping at Aldi s. However my otherwise fine iPhone 8 can’t be changed from IOS 16. So it’s goodby Aldi’s. It’s great how these app writing youngsters think we all have money to waste on yet another new phone. So it’s now a 1 star rating.
Horrible Update
This is now unusable. I can’t see my past orders and I can’t find my usual staples anymore. They don’t even show up when I search them. Also, why am I seeing a bunch of popular brands when I search for something. This is Aldi, if I wanted those brands I’d shop elsewhere. Plus the instacart app already exists, why would the Aldi app be the Instacart app ? If we wanted the Instacart UI we’d use Instacart 🤦🏾♀️ These companies are so good at disappointing customers these days and they don’t seem to care.
Lost functionality
I used to be able to view the weekly flier directly in the app and as Aldi updates its app it has been harder to get to (first they buried it in the more menu) but now it just redirects you to the internet browser and doesn’t even open in the app anymore. Solidly frustrating and impractical implementation.
Inconsistent service
I always have issues with the app. ordering was fine but pick up glitches, can’t use the app to check in you have to use the link via text or walk in. Now with the new update I can’t pay because my (smaller) bank isn’t supported by Apple Pay. I was hoping the new update at the end of march would help but seems to have made things worse
