No data transfer?!
I spent years and big bucks on this game just to come back to it and have it tell me after the update there’s no information that can be transferred from the pre update pocket camp. So you’re telling me I have to earn everything all over again and lose all the stuff I took so much time and money to get, and on top of that I have to pay another 20 DOLLARS just to find this out?! I had it linked to a Nintendo account because I created an account just for pocket camp… so what the heck is going on? HUGE let down.

I was scrolling the through the App Store and accidentally pressed download now the game is trying to charge me when I pressed cancel download

I’ve been playing this game for years and I went to update it a little while ago only to come back to it saying I don’t have an account. I’ve been signing in through Nintendo for about 3 or 4 years and it’s now telling me all progress is lost and or non existent. I’m really disappointed honestly because I’ve never been able to play the actual animal crossing because I don’t have a switch. This was actually really devastating lol. I was on about level 50 I had so many bells and outfits and my camp was absolutely beautiful and built with so many event things. I did not know that if we didn’t go and physically transfer our data, it would be completely lost. Is there anything I can do ? I tried singing in again today and the same thing :/ I’ve seen a lot of reviews saying the same thing and I’m absolutely heart broken that Nintendo themselves wouldn’t think about that factor. I will not be restarting or redownloading in fact because I have NEVER had such a popular game have such a bad issue. I’ve waited for so long for the official pocket camp only to be able to experience it..
Help!
After redownloading the app, it keeps telling “ you haven’t connected to the server for a long time. Pls try again after you’ve completed to the network once “. Happened on both of my iPhone 15 & 16, iOS 18.
I cant use this game!!

Needs a LOT of improvement, SEVERELY disappointed.
$20 for an app that doesn't save your data/give you access to your account when you delete the app is absurd. I usually don't write reviews but words can't describe how disappointed I am that I spent money on this app due to a lot of removed features that made animal crossing fun such as the market and being able to interact with friends. Not to mention how lazy the developers have gotten. Every month there is supposed to be an update where you get monthly cookies and furniture rotated out which was what made me keep playing. But I noticed that each month at the same time, it it always the same ones. February's cookies this year is the same as February's cookies last year, with not even 1 new cookie!! I understand that it would be a lot of work to make all new cookies every month every year... but not even 1 new cookie a month is seriously lazy. If you are making users pay $20 for this app at least push out some new content or introduce some new concepts inside the game instead of relying on nostalgia and the forced loyalty where you lose your account if you delete the game in order to keep your app alive. It is a horrible feeling to lose the spark and happiness of playing a game you once loved because corporations don't want to put in the work to keep customers happy. DO BETTER. 😐😐😐
“No transfer data”
I bought this game when it came out and already did the transfer back then. Played for a while and it worked just fine. Now, I’m coming to redownload the game and it’s saying there is no transfer data from my Nintendo account? I don’t understand how that’s possible if it was working when I got the game.

Scam?
I paid money for this and had my account transferred. Well it didn’t transfer it got deleted somehow even though it was backed up on my Nintendo account. Prior to me purchasing I had spent a good amount of time and money obtaining items for my camp and getting achievements. Now it won’t even save any new account I try to make since I have no other option. Ur start from scratch.
No controller support, No landscape support? C’mon.
C’mon Nintendo, it’s the 21st century, get with the times and add controller and landscape support. It’s ridiculous someone has to ask.

My phone offloaded my app and didn’t realize until it was too late, I lost my account and years of progress because my app wasn’t completely downloaded. Original pocket camp wasn’t like this so I’m very upset

Game save
I think it’s weird that you have to manually tell the game you are switching phones for it to save and transfer to my new device. i’m not restarting this game. i played for over 2 years and all of a sudden you want me to restart that’s annoying. i’ve been a fan of the animal crossing series for awhile and the worst thing is not saving or restarting and I was forced to do that. it’s so annoying all the time i spent just for it to not automatically save to my nintendo account. do better
Having us waste all that money, then removing the save data/transfer feature is disgusting.
During the “Complete” Release, I PAID TEN DOLLARS for this. ( Garbage upgrades, and a lazy “new area”- also completely removing ANY friend system. )

Do not delete app or lose data forever
There was no notice when deleting the app that I would never get to access the account I had for nearly 10 years again. Words cannot describe the disappointment and heartbreak of losing years of progress on an app that meant so much to me. I unfortunately will never touch this game or an affiliated program again. Absolutely nothing could ever make up for that loss. Wish I could give negative stars.
Unbelievable.
I put so many hours into this game and MONEY and now suddenly my save is gone after redownloading the game. it’s just nonexistent I haven’t even changed phones.
Deleted my save data
I deleted the app for a couple days to make some space on my phone for a concert. I went to redownload it on the same decide a couple days later and it acts like i have no saved data and doesn’t recognize my account. This is the second time it has done it. A multi billion dollar company shouldn’t have such a horrible recovery system
Very disappointed.
I played the original version of PC when it originally came out in 2017. Over the years, I have purchased hundreds of dollars worth of leaf tickets and other content (furniture packs, happy helper plan, festival packs, etc). I was not notified the original app was closing or of the game data transfer deadline and have lost all of my gameplay data and purchases. I reached out to Nintendo about trying to get my gameplay data reinstated or at least getting leaf tickets to compensate for what I’ve purchased and lost, and they won’t do anything about it. I’m very very disappointed about this and wish I would have known this before purchasing this app.

Needs more improvement
I really love this game and how you play and I love all the cute items and clothes you can collect! But I just have a huge problem with there still being a lack of leaf tokens, times material, sparkling stones and how it can be hard to get essence bottles once you have characters over 15 hearts. I am someone who likes to “complete” games so just seeing that you don’t even have the resource to collect/craft everything for the whole month just gets me a little mad. I am level 252 and it takes a whole 35 hearts to level up and I only get 50 least tokens ?! I feel like the prizes for level up should get higher as you gain more levels. I enjoy playing this game for little increments while I’m at work and I don’t wanna feel like I have to play for 10 years to get all the items. Also the backgrounds and stuff for your campsite are too expensive imo. I wish Gulliver islands offered some of the resources I need other than just like 2 stones that take hours to get.
Animal Crossing
This game is not that fun, it is impossible to start up, and nothing makes sense. I was promised a relaxing island I got to design on, and then I can’t even walk through it! Animals are cute, but I thought they had houses! And personalities! They’re just cute designs walking around! It is boring and there’s just too much stuff. Worst 20$ I ever spent.
no new updates in six months :(
i’ve been playing since shorty after its release, and i can confirm that there hasn’t been ANY new items or collections since september! everything since then has been recycled and originally apart of the november 2024 - march 2025 updates. i’m so disappointed, especially since this game costs money. please do not abandon it!
It was good when it was live
We’ve been playing animal Crossing since the first game came out on the DS. I downloaded this game the first day it became available back in 2017. And I played religiously… I was very saddened when I found out monthly updates were going to be discontinued. But I paid the one time fee and played it for a bit, but now it’s no fun anymore. I’ve gotten everything I can get on the app so there’s no need to go and do the daily or monthly challenges. So I’m thinking I’m about to delete the app. I rarely play it anymore, if I’m going to play Animal Crossing, I do it on the switch.
Does not work on iPad M5 13” with apple Magic Keyboard
I tried playing this on my new M5 iPad 13” that was released 2 days ago. It doesn’t let you get past the name screen - keyboard does not come up and you can’t click out of it or do anything else. It also opens in an awkward portrait style screen, and doesn’t take advantage of the full screensize of the iPad. I guess the game was made many years ago and it shows!
