Won’t let you log into an existing account. You have to ALWAYS buy a new camera in order to log in. You need a new email every time as well. Terribly inefficient and truly moronic. I hope the devs fix this major design flaw. Ontop of this, there’s a lot of false advertising in the settings. The person detection system fails 60% of the time. Having motion alerts for everything seems to work way better than what ever system you have implemented. I selected the 20 second recording feature- only records for 10 seconds. I went back to the 60 second recording function, only records for 10 seconds.
Does not track people 50% of the time. It’s nice to have for the convenience, but wish the devs cared a little more about user safety. It’s clear this started as a cash grab and might be getting out of control for your company. Yall gotta step up, this isn’t very safe.

Glitchy app
Can’t switch view from vertical to horizontal. View doesn’t stretch the width of your screen. And then the app crashes! I should have went with “RING”
Motion
It does not catch every single motion that comes into view. Missing a lot of activity.
Sucks
This device sucks. I bought it thinking I would be able to have a device with a local storage on a memory card. The app basically just continues to load and never actually loads. It’s not a device issue it’s basically their way of trying to force you to pay for their services because they don’t allow you to access your local cloud.

Updates ruined them
Cameras used to be solid, got them due to no subscriptions. However every single update has made the detection worse and worse, that I’m convinced it’s about forcing the subscription. Absolutely HORRIBLE! AVOID!!
Mediocre
Gotten a few good videos, but half the time you get a notification and try to view it, it lags out and can’t connect. Trying to view live video, it lags out and can’t connect. It’s also missed activity otherwise it might get 3 stars. Works when it feels like it. Don’t buy wireless cameras, that was the first mistake. Not to mention ads for something that’s paid for. It’s ok if you aren’t expecting it to work good.
Stopped working
I have 5G WiFi and it worked before February 22th, I don’t know if it was the update but this app is no longer useful at this moment
Face Recognition Ad
I have 3 doorbell cameras and below each one in the app there is a Face Recognition ad. After talking to Customer Service they say the only way to remove these ads is to go into other settings and disable Enable Recommendations then close the app and reboot the phone and open the app back up. Of course this doesn't work so they're lying. This used to be a great app/camera system but not any more. They're now focused 100% on selling subscriptions. No more Aosu products for me. Time to explore other options.
Used to be
This used to be the best home surveillance app, and I have may big names installed and used on my phone. With this last update it’s absolutely terrible! More market related to selling their cloud. Wish I hadn’t updated, ignorance truly is bliss. Whoever changed this app in this way is truly ignorant. Currently looking for other cameras as I review this. Trash!
Worst service and customer service does nothing.
Get your money back asap. Just trying to help everyone save there money.
Voice Delay and voice break ups are awful
This issue has been brought up to several tech support people with no fix. This issue makes the doorbell camera not worth anything. If it gets fixed, it would be a nice camera. But now, I regret buying it!
Money grab!
The camera itself is nice and has a good quality picture. Happy with it, the app???Awful!! It’s just a money grab for storage plans and advertising. I shouldn’t have to go through the “sales pitch” just to see my camera footage. Would love to see this improved!
Not worth the money
A year in and from packages being thrown while being delivered to a drunk driver almost driving into our septic, this app missed recording every time. This is more like a toy than a security system.

The latest update splashes ads everywhere and makes the app almost unusable.

Not sure what they did, but since this last update November 2025, my two cameras are offline more than online. Before that, I’d have a camera offline once or twice a month.

Terrible Update
Used to be able to see 3 photos for free, now you can’t look at them, just asks you to pay. Worst update ever. Useless product now is only good to view live, not paying just to see photos.
Live Feed
These cameras will NOT play a live feed. I have deleted the app reinstalled it reset the cameras removed the camera and added them back (which took TWO days before they would connect to the internet) NOTHING works. Has anyone else had this issue??
Terrible App, Nonexistent Customer Service
Homebase undetected by modem, followed all the steps, last option is a button to contact customer service, except that button doesn’t work, and if you exit out the whole process to select the dedicated customer service tab, it’s an infinite loading screen. Terrible
Horrible Chinese based
Company is out of China getting any kind of customer support or help is not going to happen. Company collects data through servers and sells to third party companies do not use and if you have them cancel and find another service.

Camera great, app a nightmare
Although the camera is excellent, the app doesn’t make any sense. For example, I get a notification, so I touch it, and the app shows me yesterday’s video-this makes no sense. I have to touch the calendar icon and select today to see the video that triggered the alert!!! Then, I zoom to full screen, and want to scroll through today’s videos-NO, you can’t do that; you have to zoom back out, pick the prior video, and go again to full screen. Then suddenly it’s showing me video from the other camera. It’s maddening. Horrible user interface.
Records When It Wants SMH
I pay for subscription fee and it’s pointless. I’ll be switching to RING the best one yet.
Unreliable
This app is so unreliable, it’s almost useless. It fails to record too many events, including ones I get notifications about. I’m not sure if this is because I don’t pay for cloud storage, but after having this doorbell for months, I can’t tolerate its unreliability anymore. A security device needs to be reliable, certainly a lot more than 50% of the time at best.
Horrible battery
I received this camera as a gift and not even a year with me and it started giving me trouble charging !!!
Always fails to load video
The first week of using this camera. It only worked for a day or so and then it always fails to load video on the app. At the beginning I could retry and got to connect occasionally, but now it never loads. I’m on a long trip and it really upsets me. Tried restarting, unplugging, etc but didn’t fix it. Basically not reliable at all

Terrible now
This app was great before they started adding all the AI stuff. Every time I update it makes everything worse. I’m done with the updates at this point. Constantly have to reset my cameras now and the settings that I have selected just change on their own which is wild. Notifications are hit and miss, more often than not I never receive a notification. When I open the app to check cameras all of a sudden I’ll start getting notifications all at once. I sure hope they get this app fixed because the cameras are great but useless if the app is always so inconsistent and notifications aren’t reliable.
Annoying
The camera is cool for the price and the subscription price. BUT, the camera barely catches anything most of the time and the other times the camera will send a notification saying there is motion when there’s nothing there.

For those of us that have been leaving Ring for a non-subscription required option, you’ll have some adjustments.
The cameras have incredible quality and they perform exceptionally well. So much better and I love the rotation. I wish that the older solar cam like I bought had privacy zones, you could set, but while annoying it is something I can live with.
The challenge is the extreme delay notifications on the app, sometimes several minutes. The Ring was really good at instant notification, whereas this one is just not up to par, and you're going struggle. The grouping of the notifications is also pretty bad.
Hopefully this improves over time, but it would have deterred me from buying the cameras if I'd known the delays were going to be this bad.
For reference, I have 4 outdoor cameras and a doorbell, with the cameras syncing to my local storage.

Cameras are great! iPad app is not
Love the cameras, easy to set up and connect. The app is good for iPhone but sucks on the iPad, which is where I would want to view all cameras at the same time.
Homebase quit and app will not recognize
Homebase quit. App will not recognize new honebase. Customer service is non existent.
I can not agree with the terms and conditions.
It requires granting them all my data, streaming, video as long as use the app. 😟 This is not my first day on the planet!
Can’t delete videos
After last update now we can’t delete any videos!
Latest App update
System was working perfectly before your latest update. Now everything is jacked up. Still event photos from days ago, won’t clear from the camera.
Disappointing purchase
The cameras are not very good. Night time images are not clear. The picture size is limited due to all the other images in the picture frame. If you get locked out you cannot log in because the keyboard is not visible. I would not purchase again.

The update ruined everything; it’s impossible to access the 24/7 recording. It used to be very easy and clear, but now it’s messy with fewer features…
Used to be great
I have 3 AOSU cameras, one doorbell and 2 floodlight cams, and the app/cameras were outstanding for many months. However, recently both floodlights started dropping offline and randomly restarting - the doorbell is still great. Not sure if it’s an app or device firmware issue but if it doesn’t get resolved fairly quickly I’ll be moving manufacturers.
