Horrible Policy
How can there be a limit for credits to expire?? Horrible cancellation policy that you will lose credits when canceling. So basically pay to rent books. If I am paying for a credit why does it disappear if I cancel my membership.
Disappointed
I’ve had audible for years and never had a problem, until today. I went to download a book that I’ve had for years and it’s no longer in my library. So I looked for other titles and found a lot missing and Audible saying I have to pay for them. I tried reaching out to customer support and they were very unhelpful. I kept getting passed to different representatives and then was told they couldn’t help without an order number. I’ve had some of the missing books for 11 years! Wish I could find a better alternative. Will not be renewing my subscription.

Purchase Book Appears as available for purchase
Years ago, I purchased a book called “The Mastery of Love.” I searched for it again in the “Home” section by typing the name in the “search our catalog” box and the book shows up as available to purchase with 1 credit rather than as available to read. The only way to retrieve my purchase was by going to “library” section, then “audiobooks” and manually scrolling through all my audiobooks list until I found it again among all my books. This is disappointing on Audible to try to make its customers inadvertently buy books again.
Getting robbed
I keep getting charged $15 a month . I don’t even have this app downloaded yet sneaky link so I get charged every month.
Unreliable app/Poor customer service
Been a customer since 2023, recently several of my books can’t be listen to and can’t be downloaded. Reached out to customer service, they said they have no record of me having purchased the books using credits I paid for. I sent several screenshots as proof, they acknowledged the screenshots but couldn’t see the info on their end- refused to help. The person on live chat ended the chat abruptly after I sent screenshots, also tried talking on the phone- zero help there too. I recommend trying a different provider- this is a scam. Your library is unreliable, customer service won’t help with app glitches.
Audible reward
Be careful doing the rewards and then switching to to different plans it will reset. I asked them why all my rewards that I have been working on are gone and it’s because I switch from yearly to monthly. It’s super frustrating that it happened because I only switch plans because support recommendation. And now I lost all my progress

It works fine and titles are great ! But $15 a moth is steep . That’s more expensive than every streaming service besides Netflix …
And at least with streaming service, you can watch multiple things .. with Audible you get 1 book a month for $15 .. I haven’t found a book that cost more than that .. sure it will say $20 .. then with your discount it will be $14 , but if you google the book it $14 anywhere .. they mark it up to make it seem like you’re getting discount..

Short story dragged out to be the size of a novel. Why??
I thought it would never end!
But the positive part is that the story was competently voiced by AI. The only times it was noticeable was on the chapter breaks with the voice somewhat clumsily announcing the new chapter. Also when a character was giving the emergency call number.

What’s the point?
What’s the point of downloading a book if it cuts out when you lose cell service? Audible is the longest running subscription I have ever had. With each update it gets worse. This live service stuff is getting tiresome. Tempted to switch everything to Spotify. At least there’s my downloaded stuff works.

Finding meaning in the second half of life. Lovely but narrator sounds like AI
The book was amazing but I’m so confused because it claims to be narrated by a real human being but I swear it is a robotic voice. It mispronounces word that any human narrator would not mispronounce. And at the end, it tries to slow down the AI voice as if it has feelings but it fails miserably. Somehow I was still able to glean deep meaning from the book even though it was delivered by bad AI
Worse every year
Great selection but the worst interface. The purchasing process has changed in the past year and it’s now unusable. Nothing my account is different but not a single purchase goes through. Hot garbage.
Overly dramatic
Cheesy and overly dramatic for a James Patterson novel. Couldn’t wait for it to be over. It is a dramatic reading of a book.

The app developers can do better
There’s a lot of features that you can access on a laptop using this app versus the phone so I’m giving the phone app a 2.0. It was great for reading and listening to books on the go, but that is about it. If I have to log into my own computer to get things done, there’s no point of the app…..
Political Protest Dressed Up as a Survival Story
Not great. Not bad. If you care about story, skip the middle. It drones on. Ends up being about politics. Not a terrible thing but it overshadows the story in the end instead of the story revealing a new angle I would care about.
