Rip off
Tried to upgrade to use VPN btw was only supposed to be $29 with the promise of a refund for the original version I bought. Got charged $49.99. And VPN would not turn on ! Their fix was to download their VPN app which is an additional charge.
Not working at all

I downloaded this app because of the 7 day free trial. It provided the plan pricing for one year but, when I clicked out of the app, a lower price popped up, so I accepted the lower price.
I though once my free trial was up, I could decide at that time if I wanted to cancel or keep the product.
WRONG!!!!!
I was charged for the entire year without the free trial. And when I submitted a refund through apple support, my refund was denied because they stated my charge was valid.
Now I’m LIVID!!!!
Apple referred me to the sellers and Guess What! Guess who they do not provide refunds to, you guessed it, Anyone who purchases this software through 3rd party vendors including the App Store.
So now I have to dispute this through my bank and file a complaint.
I will never purchase another item on the app store until this is resolved. I should have listened to the reviews, I should’ve listened.

ADG will open but cannot run scans you hit scan button and it just blanks out and crashes.

Can’t kill it no matter how hard I try
This app won’t work on my IPad. I tried to kill it but I can’t and it just keeps charging me. My operating system is too old.
Back in da DAY
Yes! Old school here-depended on AVG since 1995. You read that right. When programming pretty much began. Hence- promoted ever since. Let’s see how she holds up with $$$. Way to go!

Charged on a cancelled subscription
Exactly what the title is, cancelled last year but still got charged last month. Website just keeps making you go back and forth on web pages without actually leading you to the refund page.
Bad software
Their driver update software corrupted two of my video drivers costing $150 to repair. Do not shop from them!

This does not detect anything except whether or not you have features turned off-and it tries to sell you more avg products.

Dangerous - Opened Backdoor
AVG for IOS allows for data to be transmitted to the internet without permission.
AVG has a feature called "Split Tunneling" that allows 'small' programs to bypass the VPN. Why pray tell would a VPN allow programs to bypass the VPN?
I block most programs from using cellular data. Yet when the AVG VPN is active one of those programs bypassed IOS restrictions and ads started displaying. This is NOT ok!

Sooo slow
I had this since my iPhone 11 to iPhone 16pro max and this is so slow and outdated I can barely click anything without having to wait a century or it usually crashes down plus most of it is paywall soooo it sucks im not sure why it has “great reviews”
Pc ruined because of AVG
Did what they said to do and my pc is ruined , my printer won’t work any longer , they keep telling me my pc is at risk , my ss is exposed ! I hate these people !
Not worth it
You pay $20 for a webshied and for the app to check that you have the latest iOS update and that your phone isn’t jaibroken. Then it will tell there are two other potential issues to review. Oh but wait, they require the ultimate subscription. Feels more like an Antivirus scam

Not Useful
The app works. However, if you don’t give permission for the AVG VPN, it will not stop asking you. I had to do a hard shut down of my phone to get it to stop. That’s unacceptable. I use a different VPN and will continue to do so.
Update: AVG has continued to show how useful they are when they commented on my review -

The resolution was uninstalling your app. That was suitable to my needs. Instead of addressing the root of the problem, they wish the customer well. How sweet.

This app stops working for several days.. is useless. Is frozen all the time..

Since adding this to check my phone for illegal activity, I had AVG check my email and passwords. Since then, all my accounts are being hacked.

Regardless of if you purchase a subscription for this App or use the free version. This App not only spy on you but also invites hundreds of other companies to obtain your biometrics data, contacts, birthday, zip code, internet provider and host of other personal information.

This app sux! Not user friendly. Paid for a subscription I can’t use. Keeps trying to sell me security when I have already paid for it. Would not recommend this security service to my worst enemy!

Makes my phone useless
About 2 weeks ago my phone just started not connecting to cell/ WiFi service randomly for hours at a time, I’ve done all the troubleshooting options available. So basically I’m paying for a service that makes my phone useless if it’s installed on my phone. Once I delete it all problems are nonexistent. Is there going to be an update fixing these issues? Or can I get a refund for the remaining amount? Please help!

This app has repeatedly asked me to signup even when I paid for one year frustrating. Would like to hVe VPN 😟. **This has since stopped and is currently working fine!

Update your app!!!!!!! It worked fine previously and now it’s buggy and just keeps crashing. Doesn’t seem to be working at all. Shows my last scan was 4 months ago. I’m paying for an ultimate subscription, it’s ultimately washing money with the experience of the app atm! Fix this ASAP.

Freezes up
100% of the time when I open this map it freezes up. It’s frustrating because I have to turn off the VPN to print, so this happens often. The app itself takes forever to load, and will often shut down on its own after being frozen. It’s been this way for over a year, so I’m not expecting anything to change anytime soon.

I can’t open any YouTube video link and everything I find online says cache or vpn. I’ve cleared cache and reinstalled YouTube but get the same bot block every link. Any fixes out there? Is it this vpn ?
