Giving up on AW
I’m finally giving up on Award Wallet after years of dissatisfaction. I thought it would improve functionality. It did not. I’m going elsewhere

Stop trying to read my email!
I really enjoyed this app for a long time, but they keep prompting me to get access to my Gmail account and I’m just sick of it. They need to turn that feature off once you tell them you don’t want them to read your email they should respect that. Oh, and I opened a support case, and Kate said this behavior was by design. So it’s a bad design.

Marketing emails cannot be turned off
What a strange monetisation idea. Turns out, you’re unable to turn off spam from this app, you can only turn off ALL emails, including those that relate to the core functionality of the app, crippling the value proposition on purpose. I had installed before reading the reviews mentioning this fact, now I regret having ever given them my email. I’m deleting now.

Trash with Chase
I regret paying for an annual subscription. The process for updating Chase account point balances is incredibly frustrating. It's easier to just log in to Chase and check my balance than the work of updating it in AwardWallet. Don't you dare even think of your partner having a second account, it will never work.
I've even tried the Safari extension to no success of having a second account.
The real kicker is that I don't even see a way to manually update the balances.

Horrible Interface
This App just, frankly, doesn’t work. It will not link to my chase rewards no matter what I try. I suspect it is just because the app setup is so confusing. Also. The app takes over your browser and auto submits information before you can finish inputting it. This means that it messes up your autofill passwords. I would say this is such a great idea, but it is currently not working.
Disappointed
Synching slow. Lacking providers. Poor customer service. Overall bad experience and waste of time

Attempted to add 3 credit cards for 2 different award’s programs. App never would accept cards or program membership details & I confirmed passwords & user ids were correct. If this App doesn’t work for Marriott Bonvoy & AA, it is of very limited use IMO. If it worked for these programs would be of great value & may be my error but tried multiple times to get these 2 programs & 3 cards to sync.
Can’t Turn Off Marketing Emails
AwardWallet was great for years, but recently I started getting all sorts of spam emails from them that seems impossible to turn off. I’ve tried multiple times now over the course of several weeks and every time it has seemed not to save (and like other reviews have said, for free users they only give you the option to turn off ALL emails, including transactional ones you’d normally want). I’ve finally given up and created a Gmail rule to automatically flag everything from AwardWallet as spam; I just can’t take it anymore.
I also plan to file FTC and BBB complaints if I keep getting these after what is now my fourth unsubscribe attempt. If you want to pay for your “free” tier by flooding your users’ inboxes with ads, that’s your prerogative, but by law US companies HAVE to let me unsubscribe from their emails; not sure if this is a bug or if it’s intentionally ignoring my choice to try to grab a little more cash; either way, this is not the way to do business.

Asking for too much personal information
You must be out of your mind for me to give you username and password for my royalty cards, credit cards, and membership information. This is insane!

Always broken
Chase is always broken on the app and support keeps saying to update on a computer. What’s the point of an app then?!
Doesn’t track credit card rewards
I used to use this app a really long time ago and I stopped because it wasn’t working with my credit card rewards. Thought I’d try it now after a few years. Still not tracking Chase . So it’s useless for me. It’s a shame, because it’s a nice featured app. But if I can’t track, my Chase rewards there is no point in even adding the rest. Maybe in the future chase will play better with these apps.

It legit updated like 2 of my accounts. Anything that requires 2FA it can’t do which is almost everything. Not worth the time. It makes it seems shady because you give all your login info to this app just for it not to work but they now have all your info.
Failed to pull up two cards/rewards programs
Started with my USAA AMEX rewards card and when that failed to reflect a reward balance I tried my Best Buy Mastercard. That one also failed to reflect a balance. Not even going to bother setting up any of the other ones. Thankfully I tried before I upgraded to the paid version. Deleting and moving on to try another…good luck!

App doesn’t work
Couldn’t get anything in the app to work. Couldn’t take pictures of cards, couldn’t sign into any rewards accounts.
app is incompatible with password managers
You basically cannot use the app with password managers, making it a security risk.
If you have icloud keychain randomly generate a password, it will only fill out the top part and not the confirmation part. The confirmation part you cannot paste into. If you switch away from the app to manually enter the long random password, it erases as soon as you switch again to enter more of it. What a horrible implementation.

Can’t add Chase Cards
Have tried for the last hour to add my Chase CC and no matter I do, AwardWallet says there is an error.
Isn’t working for me
I don’t get it… logged in, tried to add cards and every one of them will not connect to my accounts to get point totals. The app tells me to push “connect with capitalone button”, but there is no such button. The app experiences an “unknow error” every time I try and enter my Chase card. ALL I GET ARE RED ERROR MESSAGES!
Totally frustrating!
What has happened to this app? I used to use it all the time with no problems. Now I can’t login, I have to reboot my phone re-enter my passcode but it won’t take any input and I’m just stuck. If I remove the program and reinstall it it says it’s going to delete all my data which is crazy. What a freaking waste of money

This was a good app initially. Then I had problems updating accounts that used the CAPCHA feature. I contacted customer support and they supposedly tried to fix the issue but couldn’t and then said I must be doing something WRONG! Thanks a lot!

Used to be great
The operative word is 'used to' - it's far from great now. Their safari extension had issues, with a missing second pop-up, and uninstalling and reinstalling didn't resolve the problem. The Chrome extension for laptop also failed to fix the app issues. Furthermore, in-app issues with Chase, Marriott, and Hilton resulted in data mismatch errors, despite the same data working perfectly on their respective apps and websites.
Do they test this thing?
There is no way to physically type in your loyalty account for hotels if you don’t have a physical card. You can click on the fields, but no keyboard comes up. Same thing happens on their “contact us” form. Brain dead.

Punishes users of free version with spammy marketing emails 👎
I’ve been battling their support team to make it easier to disable their marketing emails if you’re on a free plan and would still like to receive important emails without punishing you in the process. Evidently, someone in their company thought it was a good idea to make this a paid option since only paid users can disable these! All other individuals are simply punished by being forced to receive all their marketing emails if they still want to receive all other useful email notifications about their rewards program and reservations. The only way to disable their awful marketing emails when using their free plan is to unsubscribe from ALL email notifications (even the ones you would normally want to receive), which seems extremely petty and greedy. To make matters worse, the option to disable all emails doesn’t save properly so you’re in this endless fight of trying to unsubscribe from them. This killed the app for me and I will never use it again.
Great idea…
I’m not sure what happened with this app. Last year, I was really impressed; this year it’s just an annoyance. I have to spend so much time trying (and failing) to connect to IHG, Hilton, LATAM, and Capital One, that it defeats the purpose. When I contacted them about the issues, I get the typical arrogant tech response - everything on our end is working fine!
Can’t sync with Chase
The app used to be great! I loved that I could keep track of my, my husband’s and our business card accounts in one place. I loved that the accounts auto-updated and kept track of the various credit and benefits of each card. However there has been an issue in which none of our chase accounts are updating on the app. Last chase update? One year and 3 months ago lol. I’m getting an error message every time saying “this part of our site is not available”.
I contacted support, and after some unsuccessful troubleshooting, they advised me to sign in on a desktop. They were unable to assist beyond that, and had no answer as to when this problem would be fixed. What’s the point of having this app if I need to log into a desktop to view my balances? I’ll use the 10X travel desktop tool in that case, since AwardWallet has been sitting on this issue for months.
If the problem is ever resolved, I’d be happy to reinstall the app and upgrade to the subscription.

No Amazon or PayPal
Amazon doesn’t work and PayPal does not work. There is a comment no reward value shows on the sight but when I log in I can see my cash back value.

Test failed
I added one rewards program to check out the app: Amtrak Guest Rewards. After it showed my own account as zero points (fully updated), I added my wife’s account. Again, it incorrectly shows zero points. It’s hard for me to get on board with a points tracking app if I don’t feel like I can trust the displayed values, especially when it’s not attributable to sync issues.
