Addicting and cash sucking
I have never gone out of my way to review an app before, but I feel this app can be truly addicting and draining. There is no way that the games are random. I have countless screen recordings of “random” games that I am considering reporting to the World Backgammon Federation (which apparently “certifies” the app).
Also, if you make any in-app purchases, the app eventually changes the settings on games so that you have to have a higher amount of coins to play at any tables to win cards/that seasons competitions. I’m sorry but when you drop more money on an app than you ever would on a board game, at least make it accessible to actually win. Instead, I’m out of coins within an hour and then the app only gives me purchasing levels that match my previous spending or higher. It’s a trap. If you play, you have to be okay with not winning or participating in the seasonal events.

Checkers won’t Move
I don’t know if this is a universal problem however, in my case, I have been involved in several matches where when I want to move the checker, it won’t move no matter what I’m trying to do and then I run out of time. Unless I’m shown how to fix this or if somebody can help out, despite having enjoyed this game, my rating is what it is now

Game is rigged
You will know early on if you are loosing the game. It was confirmed that the game is determined before you play. Once when i had to leave the game quickly and it gave me a gammon win. You cannot get ahead in your overall win ratio.

Regarding the recommendation to reach out to customer support made by the developer… I did. Multiple times 4 follow ups after their original reply to send the receipt (which I did) NO RESPONSE.
The game itself is great fun (5 stars for the game itself) but their customer service (1 star).
Be careful if you buy a multi-day reward package. If you don’t click to collect the rewards (that you purchased), it doesn’t automatically download into your account when the event closes out AND if you report it, they will ask you to produce a receipt to prove you paid, which is fine except they specifically ask for an App Store receipt and even tell you how to retrieve it; however, Lord of the Board uses a vendor called App Charge and that receipt does not show up in the App Store. And when you give them the actual receipt emailed to you by App Charge for your purchase, they do not accept it and ultimately, their “customer service” go silent and do not respond.

If you want to lose 9,000,000 in chips then this is the game for you. Same old story of fair dice rolls. Most unrealistic game ever. When you have larger amounts of chips you automatically lose. Still don’t know why you lose chips even when you win. Don’t waste $

I literally just played a game where my opponent, after he accepted a double, rolled 6 straight doubles. I want the developers to tell me what is the probability of this happening?

You can 9 out of 10 Times call the number the bot is going to roll it forces you to move into a situation and then bam the dice roll the number needed to screw you! It’s not even how it’s played when you roll a 5 and 1 three time or when the opponent 3 doubles 6/6 3/3 4/4 in a row you cannot say it’s how it’s played you have no freaking choice.

I doubt these dice are reviewed fair play dice. I have an average rating around 1600 in backgammon apps, including for-money games. I’ll sit on the bar for multiple turns with 4 available positions. My opponent has one open position and gets out in one or two rolls. The amount of times and things of the sort that happen are bewildering.

This game is rigged and dice is not random. Opponent gets whatever they need to hit. It is impossible to win when you’re playing against israeli flag just impossible. I am pro backgammon player and in real life you will never get unbelievable planned dice like this. I know you will claim that it is random but it is not. Check with the company that you work for and you’ll see that it is not random at all. Or come borrow my phone and play 😂 you might break my phone after a few games.
Typical non-reality game
Horrible algorithms. They use good rolls your first week or two to lure you in and build up your coin balance. Then the rolls start going against you and your coin balance drops - all while they push hard to sell you more coins. The sad reality is that the rolls against you have less than 15% chance of occurring seated across from another player at a live game or tournament.

Too Many Advertisements
1 Star due to too many advertisements that prohibits fun playing the game created. Honest review! Sucks, but could be fun. Too much waiting for the X to appear to close the commercials out to play again. Get organized and not too greedy! Kind of want to do a “REMATCH” without having to pay to play.

It was fun to play at first. Played it for years now. But, don’t play very often. It’s pretty rigged if you pay attention to the patterns. Especially with the chests every few hours. Prices used to be reasonable and now they are just outrageous. It’s too bad because the graphics are great and game play used to be pretty flawless. Whatever they did to their algorithm, it’s thrown the game off.
The Worst - Rigged Dice
These people claim no responsibility for their rigged dice rolls. I’ve been playing backgammon since I was a kid and am a good player and can play various styles. I played this game solidly for months and finally removed it because it was so shocking and frustrating that their dice were so disproportionate. Sorry to all of the other players who experience the same.
