Trashiest app
The concept was there in the beginning but Baklava became like Tinder & Hinge but the Arab version of it. Quality of users are beyond trash and not intentional. How the algorithm highlights men on the eligible section is absolute garbage cuz they are far from it. That definitely needs to be worked on! The app does not take reporting profiles seriously at all! The app should have the option to create a profile for besties separately than relationships. There s a glitch there for sure! Also the subscriptions are super expensive! The Gold subscription doesn’t really work and the new update/view of the app is very confusing for the likes received. I don’t think it shows the other profiles that you liked so you don’t get a match and stay on the app subscribed longer. Please improve! It was good in the beginning but not anymore.

If you're a man on this app, good luck, you'll get reported for "harassment" then banned, and if you contact their support, they will not hear your case, instead will say decision is final

I can not log in to my account. It stays on the same page when I click the app. this is so annoying. Help me!

Disappointed
Customer service never responds back. Tried to create an account multiple times but my profile isn’t visible to anyone even though the setting is on active and it’s not set on incognito either. Emailed them and they never respond.
Feels like I got shadow banned
At first I thought maybe I wasn’t attractive enough for this app. But now I realize something’s off. I got a bunch of likes when I first joined, then suddenly nothing. In the last month only 3 people viewed my profile. I pay for a subscription that feels completely useless. If I’m shadow banned or deprioritized, at least be transparent. Right now it just feels like a scam.
Trash app
Terrible UX/UI. This app was made my stevie wonder and hellen keller. You guys are the Temu of dating apps. Buggy, glitchy, bad prompts, overall terrible.

Too many fake profiles, 🤦🏼… I’m back to using Bumble
So glitchy!
The app freezes constantly, and got rid of one of my matches after I liked their photos instead of making it a match where we can chat. It’s a good concept but they need to put more funding in the programming side. I came back after a few months and it’s worse than when I left.
Fake profiles by developers
3 days on this app.. received likes so i subscribed all 5 likes are fake profiles seems to be made up by the app developers so it tricks male users to sign up
It’s worth 1 star for now honestly and not worth paying
This app is good honestly but is missing a key filter that should be there! And it’s not even on the gold version. It is missing the location filter which is sooooooo important . However the match is genuine but you feel it’s not worth your time nor money because it’s messing this filter

banned account and unable to reach support
i deleted my account almost a year ago after i started seeing someone via the app. it didn’t work out, so i went to reinstall it and my account is showing as banned with no further information. extremely confused considering i deleted my account myself so not sure how or why i got banned. i tried sending an email and haven’t heard back
Clunky like “inchallah app”
Not very user friendly and needs a lot of work. I prefer muzz (and I don’t even think muzz is great) tbh but the women on there are beautiful. The app is just obnoxious to use. I’m surprised they have the audacity to have a premium option 🤣. It feels like it was a coding capstone project of an honors high school student. Anyhow, I want to get married which is a serious pursuit. This is just an unserious app
TERRIBLE
This app is absolutely terrible. They keep marketing the gold plan to “increase your chances on getting matches” when the gold plan literally does nothing. App is a scam don’t use it.
This app does not take user safety seriously
I’ve had my account hacked twice, where my photos were changed. The first time this happened I was told it’s my fault and the ONLY way this could happen is if someone’s took my phone. When it happened again, they told me to just delete my account and make a new account….because you know clearly I am the problem.
I also had 3 fake baklava accounts made on this application with people using my photos. One of the accounts was verified with a checkmark. So if you see a “verified” checkmark ✅ PLEASE BE AWARE it could be a fraudulent account. Every time this has happened they say the member has been permantely banned, but clearly not…they literally take zero accountability and just say “sorry”. Their security features are zbaleh 🗑️ Protect yourself and tread with caution when using Baklava.

I am Christian and the majority of profiles I only see are Muslim ones? Why can’t we choose our religious preference that is a big dealbreaker for the majority of people on this app…Is it just to keep us on the app?
Not a place for finding forever love

Terrible dating app. I can’t even open the app. As soon as I tap on the app, it closes itself. Now I can’t even delete my account because of that. Prior to this issue, every time I liked someone, the app crashed and closed itself. Not recommended at all.

I sent an email regarding my account and was told it would take one business day to respond. It has been three business days and I have not been able to get any feedback. I sent three emails and nothing. I can’t get into my account and I pay for my subscription. My money is going to waste.
many issues with this app
1) after every day, i keep getting recommended profiles that ive already tried to match with or that i tried to dismiss, needs to be fixed ASAP
2) i’m not getting notified of matches, only get notified when i have recharged likes
3) The “Most Eligible” tab is complete lies. religion doesn’t match, they live like 1,000 miles away, etc. fix this

Stay away from this sad excuse of a dating app, you only get 6 swipes you can’t choose preferences in a significant other. It’s difficult to match with your own religion. I want that flexibility to match only with Muslims not with Christians and Catholics and atheists or no religious people.
Serious Muslims..stay on salams.
This app is a joke and doesn’t let you filter for just Muslims and an overwhelming majority of the profiles are either fake, serial daters, or not looking for something serious. I understand it can frustrating swiping through salams as it’s a mixed bag, and it’s also hit or miss, but baklava is a complete miss and joke. I wouldn’t take anyone on it seriously.
Instantly banned
I make the the account and take a look at my profile to review reorder my photos and then boom I’m banned. Didn’t get a chance to even swipe or look around lol so 1 star for spending 20 minutes setting up a profile
Poor application and poor quality of people!
The application is designed for females. There should be balance. I think more governance and processes should be introduced to limit abusive behavior and ghosting. Prompts are poorly designed and written. The quality of people in the application are very poor. I don’t recommend wasting your time inside.

Lots of fake profiles and prompts need to be improved. Religion is a big factor for people and should be implemented as a search preference. Overall way too pricey for the premium membership with nothing to gain.

1. When viewing another persons profile you can’t scroll to see all their pictures. Profile has no option to include a bio. Just prompted answers

No matter what you put in the settings , It shows you nothing but people that are 60 to 100 miles away. I've never matched with anyone or even seen another profile.. everyone is out of state.
Declining and certain failing App with potential
It doesn’t seem to have any actual interactions. Paid tier offers few benefits and needs upgrading in that category. Fake profiles, “influencers,” and immature prompts stop the app from being a serious platform. Suitable for a 18-year-old freshmen in college, not adults with responsibilities.
Cringe prompts, and you cant specify distance
do you remember all the memes and jokes and youtube videos from 2009 about having arab parents and impressing her baba? yeah they’re still making those jokes on this app as “prompts” and they encourage you to answer four prompts. imagine. grown men answering “are you a doctor, engineer or disappointment?” at their big age. it’s like that one person on instagram that decided they like being arab in undergrad and then spend the rest of their lives overcompensating and listening to nancy ajram and making the jokes we used to make in middle school. also it doesn’t let you choose distance, so what’s the point? there are enough arabs in california i really don’t need to see some mfer in Utah. anyways this app annoyed me do not recommend.

I have used it for a long time, abd did not have any interactions with or response from the likes. It seems the app mainly to take your money with the expensive subscription.

The selections is filled with misogynistic men. A lot of the people here still possess the traditional Arab mentality which we should be over by the 21st century. I didn’t have a good experience getting to know the people.

Such a shame that it’s 2021 and this app is limited to cisgendered heterosexual couples. The developers are missing out on a huge opportunity to connect with a significant portion of Western Arabs that is often neglected.
