sell out
they are a sell out now gotta pay for everything, 20 samples only like this is ridiculous you literally are blocking artist inspiration and potential
Bad
Very very bad the app can’t even close apps, 1 star
Utvuyvu
I can’t get into my account because it’s asking for a passkey I don’t have
Ads
This Norton VPN ad keeps popping up and it doesn’t let me exit and when I leave to reset the app the same add pops up and won’t even let me X out the ad can’t open the app
Absolutely unusable
The constant ads blocking use despite multiple exits and re log ins, reinstalls, got tired after about 10 mins of trying to use this sub par janky app. Horrendous.
Terrible
Used to be great, no no longer has the same shine. Corporate and becoming more focused on money than creation. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this app
No good
There is not tutorial and I can’t find a trumpet or a trombone instrument
Need to fix their security measures
I used to use
band lab
since this January enjoyed it but then my account got hacked. The people in charge of security didn’t even know that my account was hacked and failed to actually tell me it was hacked until this summer. Once they did they told me to download this app where I had to pay 45 dollars a year and gave me absolutely no instructions on what to do next. I even tried deleting it but it has to get reviewed first before it can be deleted. So that’s why I’m giving the app a one star.

Greedy Corp
This app was amazing, until the samples were behind a paywall. Now you can only use 20 samples a month. Infuriating. Making music is my coping mechanism. It helps me vent all of my emotions and now I have to pay to feel better. A highly overpriced monthly subscription? Are we serious? Who ever is greenlighting ts needs to be fired immediately. CEO’s with immense greed end up failing, and dismantling an entire company; until eventually they end up with nothing. At least make a one time payment plan or bring back unlimited samples.
Couldn’t even use it so many ads
This app is aweful
Lacking blind accessibility with voiceover
It’s not blind, friendly, it’s not accessible with our screen reader, already built an iOS, called, voiceover, that is the screen reader name, the app isn’t accessible, thus, we can’t manage or navigate the app, hoping for a better accessibility in future.
Account Suspended with Zero Support 🚫🚫
This all began May 29th, 2026.
I've put real time and real work into my account @aye_ceee13, and in May it was suspended with no explanation. I filed an appeal expecting answers. Instead I got two "support" replies, from two different reps, that were word for word identical, both promising a 72 hour investigation.
Both then went completely silent. Weeks later I've received nothing. No reason for the suspension, no update, no manager, no human. Just copy-paste messages telling me to "sit tight" while everything I built sits locked away from me.
This is the core problem. When something goes wrong here, there is no real recourse. No way to reach an actual person, no accountability, no resolution. You're left talking to a wall while your work stays frozen and out of reach. For a platform people pour themselves into, that's the thing that should scare any creator off.
The rest are smaller frustrations by comparison, but they add up. The app is buried in ads that hit the moment you open it and again every time you try to get into the DAW. The studio itself has gotten unreliable, it freezes, the sync time between saving a project and playing it back has grown exponentially longer, and sometimes it doesn't save at all, which means losing work you can't get back. Basic mixing tools and plugins that used to be free have been moved behind a paywall, so the fundamentals now feel deliberately locked off to push you to pay. And the whole experience has been steered toward an Instagram-style, video-first feed that sidelines the actual music-making the app was built on.
But the inconveniences I could live with. The dealbreaker is simple: if your account is ever suspended or something breaks, no one will help you. I came here to make music and build something, and what I learned is that the moment you actually need support, there's no one home. 🏠
UPDATE 1:
BandLab publicly replied to this review saying they “appreciate the effort” and find my feedback “invaluable.” That’s it. No explanation for why my account was suspended, no resolution, no actual help. It’s the same empty acknowledgment I got from their support reps, just posted in public. Thanking me for feedback is not the same as answering for an account you’ve frozen for over a month. The response actually proves my point. They will engage when it’s visible, but they still won’t fix anything.
Update 2:
They've now replied to me twice in public and STILL haven't lifted a finger. This latest one (June 14th, 2026) calls my suspension "disheartening" and says my feedback "highlights icant areas for improvement" and that they "hope for a resolution soon." Hope? You're the ones who locked my account. You can fix this today. Instead I've gotten the same runaround times now: two copy-paste replies from support reps Ed and Miggy, and two of these polished little PR statements on my review, and not ONE of them tells me why I was suspended or ally does anything about it.
This is performative customer service at its finest. All “empathy”, zero action. They show up to look good in public, drop some buzzwords about "the user experience, then disappear the second it's time to actually help. My account ill still locked, my work is still held hostage, and nothing, NOTHING, has changed in over a month.
If you're a creator thinking about pouring yourself into this app, read this carefully: when it breaks, they will gaslight you with kindness and leave you stranded. Don't take the bait.
UPDATE 3:
Three public replies. Zero action.
This time they told me my
experience is "really concerning," that my feedback is "crucial in their journey," and that they'll "make sure it gets shared." Shared. With who exactly? You're the company.
You suspended my account.
There's no one to share it with, you're the ones who can fix it.
At this point this isn't a communication breakdown anymore. This is a pattern. Every single reply is a new set of carefully worded sentences designed to sound responsive without committing to anything. No reason for the suspension. No manager.
No timeline. No fix. Just buzzwords dressed up as accountability.
My account is still locked. My work is still sitting there inaccessible. It has now been over a month. And all I have to show for it is three public replies that say absolutely nothing.
If this is what "committed to improving for all users" looks like, creators deserve to know that before they invest a single hour into this platform.

the splitter needs help
I really think you need to fix the splitter tool. it never gives me the tempo and key and i heard a bunch of my instrumental when trying to separate the vocals and it takes way too long it makes me waste all that time and my free uses just for me to have to guess what the tempo is. the review is just what i think of the splitter not the full app
Sucks so bad
I wanted to love this app so bad it worked for a few weeks I’d say and now it just won’t load anything. I press on something it doesn’t load. I’ve tried to update it. It needs no updating. I deleted it twice now and it’s still not working. The video capacity is like six minutes and it’s like a 30 second video or a minute video and it’s not loading or letting me do anything.
Paywalled to hell
istg most features are locked behind a 14 dollar a month paywall like why omg
Got too greedy guys
The fact that now they limit the amount it takes, you can do in one audio clip is astronomically horrible I’m not paying $16 a month to do something that I can do it in audacity for free. This app has gotten a little too greedy for its own good if they give us back unlimited, takes for the free version I will happily give this a five star review
bsfr
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?? putting samples behind a paywall ?! i dont even know you anymore. this is like a bad breakup. i used to rate you five stars every chance i had. it started getting a lil risky after you introduced ads, then moreso after ai (which i dont entirely hate but this is for timeline purposes) and now this ? youve GOT to be kitten me. what happened to you guys ? you used to be so different but now i dont even know you… i dont hate you but its falling off. go back to your roots, cuz i think you forgot em. and yk what? i actually HATE giving you such low stars. hate it. but i had to say something even if it wont make a difference. look in the mirror bandlab, this is not you </3
