Blank screen after login
Over the past few months, more often than not I just see a white screen after logging in and nothing happens. Logging in again and quit & restart don't work. Offloading or reinstalling will work for a few logins then same thing again. I have one of the latest pro iPhones, so not running on a toaster. All other banking apps work fine. I am thinking about switching banks because I basically can't access mobile banking with BofA anymore.
god awful
the erica thing is useless! it just regurgitates the answers to easily answered questions. navigating the app is a nightmare and trying to make simple changes like setting overdraft declines is a tedious and confusing process.

They steal money without notifying you. If you get with them might want to have a lawyer ready.
Unusable
This app is unusable. For a while, I’d log in and the app would hit a white screen and not load. In the mean time, I have reset my phone, and had my phone replaced. The new phone was set up as a new phone, and it worked for a few weeks. But the last few weeks it has not loaded.

Paying a bill is difficult since I can't enter an amount in the pay line. Rebooting, changing keyboards doesn't help. Support was dismissive.

Can’t Access
About two weeks ago the app and website went down. They allegedly fixed it. I can get in on a computer now but still can’t get into the app. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and rebooted my phone. Keeps asking for my ss number and card info then doesn’t open. I need mobile banking so looks like I have to find a new bank now. App is useless.
Poor security for customers
They should improve their alert system, both in the mobile app and via text message, just like Chase, Wells Fargo, and US Bank do. It is important for monitoring transactions in real time and ensuring the security of customers' funds.
With other banks, once we make a purchase, we are notified via text message in real time, with details on the transaction location, the amount, and the merchant. It is absurd for you to maintain that $100 minimum threshold.

Fraudulent Bank
Genuinely just fraudulent. I had $8,000 usd in my balance, they locked my account with no help, or reason. When I call, they say they can’t help and to go to a branch. When I go to a branch, they say I must do it online.

It’s been several months, and the app still will not work on any iOS device. You cannot copy/paste/autofill passwords and even after entering login credentials manually, the app fails to fully load. Deleting and reinstalling the app does not work. Updating and restarting the iPhone and iPad does not work.

They are THIEVES who LIED TO OUR FACES! They told us if we deposited a CASHIERS CHECK for $20k $6735 would be available NEXT DAY and the balance on the first. We could have had access to this money SAME DAY IF WE DID NOT BELIEVE THESE LYING THIEVES! We deposited on the 25th and NOTHING was available the next day and WONT be available until the 2nd! If I stole $20k from someone for a week I’d be in prison! We got the gift TO GO TO MY FATHER IN LAWS FUNERAL!!!!! We missed it and can’t finish moving because of these LIARS AND THIEVES! They are ruining our lives! I am having panic attacks DAILY! For WHAT!!!!! THIEVES DESERVE TO BE IN PRISON! I WILL NEVER SHUT UP ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO OUR FAMILY DURING THIS LOSS!!!

Buggy app glitched
Keep asking me for my social security and account numbers to reset the passwords. Did this 3x already only to realize the website version works fine but I’m stuck in this endless loop with the app :/
You broke it!
The app now only works the first time you open it. Future use goes to a blank screen that never loads the account dashboard. To get the app to work again, you have to uninstall the app and reinstall for it to work properly again. Then have to do that process anytime you want to use the app.
Only stayed because of the my balance feature
The app is fairly intuitive but i have a local bank that i prefer. The only reason i have kept bofa is the my balance feature i can check on the app without needing to log in. But thats going away july 12 for no apparent reason so i guess ill switch banks now too🤷♂️🤦♂️
Garbage app
This thing sucks. I reset my password and it says successful and I get a confirmation email and then when I go to log into the app it sends me directly to reset my password again in an endless loop

…let’s you get through 6 steps of initial account creation/sign-up, including about 40 screens of Terms & Conditions, puts account credential creation as the very last step, then “craps out” completely on the last step-with no explanation-wasting all my effort and no progress saved, so now I’m forced to start again from square one later? Really?? Genius process. Thanks a bunch you fools!

Worst Bank, specially for Business
App freezes after faceID
Consistent problem with iPhone 17 Pro Max. After setting up the app and then saving Face ID as login, the app randomly pass the Face ID step but then freeze with the blank screen. This is happened regardless of uninstalling, deleting the app, etc. 20+ times over the course of the last nine months or so.
Need to delete and reinstall app every couple of weeks
App is great when you can log into it. I only log into the app every 1-2 months, and Unfortunately I have to delete the app almost every time. When I log in I just get a blank white screen. Something is stuck in your cache or apostate and it can’t get past it. At first I thought it was FaceID doing it - so I stopped using it - but nope - it is just pw login also. It works when I full reinstall, but you need to fix the longevity problem - please fix

they disabled my card for some security reason and asked me to call on their customer care, i spent more than 2 hours in queue for the call to be picked up, still it unresolved, this card is seriously unreliable

I used to be able to hold and copy my account and routing number and now I have to go back and forth and the app goes blank (for security reasons) when I hold two apps open on my iphone. I have now mistyped my routing number 3 times. I hate this!!!

Your app never seems to work. Every time I go to open it it no longer recognizes my user ID or password. It doesn't even recognize the fingerprint anymore. I have to reset things every time by deleting and reinstalling. This is ridiculous. I don't know what you did to the app but whatever you did you ruined it because it just doesn't work. I can assure you that I want to use an app and if this thing does not start working properly I will change all four of my accounts over to another bank that has an app that does work.

Stop Adding Non-Working Features
Out of the blue, BofA app added the Net Worth option that shows on top of the accounts screen. The option to disable it or uncheck the included accounts doesn’t work. Can you just focus on fixing issues with existing services (like Fixed Income trading not available in the app) rather than add these useless broken features?
Did I make a payment?
App used to confirm your payment is scheduled. App used to show payments past and pending. Now it’s not even buried, just missing. You have to ask the chatbot instead of just seeing it on your detail screen. They’ve removed simple functionality to force you to use their overpriced gimmick (if they’re not paying a fortune for it, there’s no need to try to force customers to use it… if it ain’t broke, don’t “fix” it). Why do you send a notice that you’re prepping a new card and send multiple notices 5 minutes later that it has shipped? It’s a useless notification without any time to update information (especially when the app keeps trying to send you to that USELESS Erica bot) or otherwise stop the mailing of a new card for whatever reason: vacation, hospital, business trip, moved recently, mailbox issues, etc.. Might as well skip that pointless notification and just say you’ve mailed a card and good luck getting it. UPDATE: payments before 5pm Eastern DO NOT apply the same day. Ever. That “earliest delivery date“ is a complete sham (so don’t rely on it to post-date your minimum payment either). I don’t want “insights” or your useless bot. Why can’t I delete your “insights” when I don’t care about your soccer collaboration? Ask the bot to delete insights: takes you to Push Notifications. Another reason millennials should never be allowed to *cough* program apps.

I’m new to Bank of America, and was expecting convenience from a national bank. The app doesn’t work. There’s a a glitch that doesn’t allow you to see your account details without resetting your password every. Single. Time. I called customer service, and they’re aware, but no known fix for the foreseeable future.

App Issues
App is still not working, I shouldn’t have to change my login 10 times and still have these same issues. At this point it’s a big inconvenience, will be closing all 3 of my accounts!
