Be careful with this company, they advertises aren’t true!!! The leads are fake, they won’t respond you and when you request a refund of your credits they will say that it is not possible because the leads were verified.

The prices are steady going up but the level of customer care stays the same. It can be a lead with the same information one will be $42 and one will be $30 for the same services and times. What is the pricing structure. They are becoming money hungry. Then they want you to pay the $90 a month the only good thing about that is the packages are cheaper. The two free leads a month are not worth it. They are leads that no one wants or fake leads so it is not a perk. The app has been messing up bad lately. And you can be in the middle of purchasing a lead and it will say time for an update and make you miss your lead. They barely vet the leads coming in but when you want a credit back now all of a sudden they can call the lead and vet it and then tell you that you cannot get credit back. Then you buy these leads and the phone always go to voicemail and your money is wasted and you cannot get at least a partial credit. This is a money pit. Be very selective with the lead purchases on here.

Poor Return on Investment for US Photographers
This is a money grab and they don’t seem to care if it’s useful for the people who pay for it. The return on investment for photographers in the US is absolutely awful. They don’t get clear dates, times or budgets and charge $25-$40+ just to say hi to someone. Just to reach out to people who 9 out of 10 times don’t reply and then it’s a maybe on the quality of the lead as most want underpaid labor or sometimes say they don’t even need the service. And the platform refuses to credit for people who don’t even need to hire someone.
They do survey after survey and improve nothing.
Customer service has gone to heck with them no longer taking calls and only sending you to emails or forms.
Poor service yet paying high premium rates for poor bottom barrel leads more than 90% of the time.
I did the math and they’re making millions without having anyone to answer to and caring less if the leads are even real or good. Some photographers are even saying maybe they post it themselves to get us to run through our credits.

This registration process is absolutely brain-dead. I’m stuck on the business address step, and there’s no indication of what to do next. You guys want to make money off this app? Give me a break-it’s glitchy as hell. Ask yourselves: how many handymen have you already lost because they couldn't even sign up?
Terrible company
I’ve been with Bark for roughly 7-8 years. I’ve paid them roughly 100k over those years now. I tried their amplify subscription because I figured why not it’s supposed to help with seo work and help boost your prescience organically. Well I gave it 3 months and it did nothing. So come the 3rd month I canceled it and they said they’d refund me a prorated amount and to give it 2 weeks. So I waited the time and I didn’t get a refund. I call again they tell me the same thing, I wait again and no refund, then I call again and no refund, then one last time and then they lie to me and tell me I got the refund when I didn’t! Mind you this is over $18.18…. Yes I know it’s not a big amount so you’d think they would make this an easy process yeah no. So they tell me I need to contact my bank because they sent it so out of good will I do so and the bank even said they’d refund are lying and would you like to dispute the charge I said yes because I figure I’m owed this money anyways so why not. So within the next day Bark freezes my account and I have no access to any of my 4,000 plus leads I’ve paid for over the years or the new leads coming in and this is now day 4 because after they froze my account I immediately go to my bank to cancel the dispute to try and get access to my account once again and after sending them a screen recording of me canceling the dispute they still do not give me my account back…. I have now submitted another screen shot of showing the dispute being canceled. I have never been treated so poorly by a company I have paid thousands of dollars to and been extremely nice to and referred other businesses to. I highly recommend never joining this company!!! They do not care if they are affecting your livelihood, they do not care how much money you’ve spent or how long you’ve been a customer I recommend finding any other lead generating service to go with that isn’t them! This is the most ridiculous treatment of a customer I’ve ever seen! And I know if I did this to one of my clients I’d be sued right away but because it’s their platform and their app you can’t sue them because then they will just ban you from the app and all your leads you’ve paid for because they can. This is the worst company I’ve ever worked with aside from Google but I haven’t even had an experience close to as bad as this from them!! So for the love of god do not give them your business and stay away! And Bark I sure hope you read this and make things right because this is wrong…. I would never treat one of my clients this way and just because you’re a bigger company it doesn’t make it right. Fix it and make it right!!
Feels like a scam.
The buyer intent on this platform is very low. Even when someone contacts you back, sets something up, they will end up ghosting. Either very low buyer intent or a scam all together. Don’t waist your time or money.
Way over priced
Bark has become way overpriced, and it dosnt help when 4/5 leads never respond and there is no way to get money back on those leads.
Seems wasteful
Been on here for 3 years. Never got a lead to respond to anything. Credits are in high quantity packs and priced unrealistically and leads use a ton of credits with some arbitrary calculation of their value, and expensive compared to others. Every time I look up forums about this app many people theorizing it’s just a money grab because most people I’ve seen or engaged with about this platform haven’t gotten anything out of it.
I’d recommend work up your own lead gen, craigslist (I’ve gotten way more from there), or just about any other platform. But really, do your own organic lead generation

Unaccountable customer support
Purchased a 390 credits plan for over $686.40 and in less than 24 hours I was downgraded and no longer have access to the paid plan, reached out to their support but no one gave a positive response just a generic response…
Account Creation
I was trying to create an account for my business, but it is not allowing me to enter in a street address for tax purposes. I tried entering just the street number and name and also full address with city state and zip code but it doesn’t allow to click “see leads” Unable to create an account. Please fix this bug ASAP.

They used to be great
Once upon a time bark was awesome. They deliver on what they promise and I got really genuine clients that I still have. However they have been victims of their own success and all I get now are fraudulent leads trying to scam me. I used to work in compliance and I can spot those scammers miles away but most people don’t. These leads are expensive and since bark makes money even if they sell you a bad lead, I don’t see them rushing to fix their fraud problem. The fix is simple they just need to implement kyc practices that make work. Stay away because I’m and I used to love this biz.

Spams for weeks and customer support can’t even fix it! Some of the contractors who contact me are not even skilled or qualified either. I HIGHLY regret downloading this app and wish I could undo it! I get at least 5 spam calls or texts a day even though I tried to take the job down! ATROCIOUS!!!!

Most of the leads are bots and scams! We even had a “lead” tell us that we needed to pay them in order to get the job. Bark needs to do better.

What makes it even worse is that Bark is very clear that they do NOT return credits if the lead you purchased never replies. So you’re left paying outrageous prices for contacts who don’t answer - and Bark takes zero responsibility. It’s truly a waste of time, money, and hope.
To make matters even more suspicious, I’ve had multiple leads block my business number immediately after I purchased them. I verified this by calling from my personal number or someone else’s phone, and the call would ring several times. But when calling from the business number, it would go straight to voicemail or say the person couldn’t be reached. That’s an obvious sign that my business number had been instantly blocked, and it happened over and over again.
At this point, I strongly feel like Bark is preying on businesses by selling “leads” that are either uninterested or flat-out fake, and then hiding behind their “no credit return” policy to avoid accountability. I’ve wasted countless hours chasing down leads that never existed in the first place.

Out of the 7 leads I purchased (totaling $128 USD), 4 turned out to be scams. One of the supposed customers even confirmed by phone that she never requested any service at all. Despite this, your support team informed me that there is no way to refund the credits simply because the phone number was “verified,” which doesn’t make sense given that the leads were clearly invalid.
I’ve requested my guarantee refund, but it has taken an unreasonable amount of time to receive a clear response. I am very disappointed, as I trusted the platform’s quality and protection for professionals.

DO NOT USE MONEY HUNGRY APP
They completely reworked the credit purchase system so you HAVE to spend at least $140+ for a credit package (really like $180) They say each credit is about $2.30 but you cant buy individual credits. Each “lead” is pretty much an 11+ credit minimum and will most likely not be worth it as they allow someone to request a service with no date in mind.

Can’t create profile
The app worked great back in June. Then it was unusable.Now I can’t even create a profile because there’s no way to agree to the terms (button is grayed out preventing you from advancing).

Used to be great but so much has changed including your marketing. Bark used to advertise $500 DJ’s which was below market value to begin with but then started advertising $100 DJ’s driving bottom barrel customers to inquire. Bark is single handedly undercutting the professional DJ’s experience and craft.

Bark! Literally it would bring you to the barking point with poor customer service. Avoid their service at all cost if you’re a service provider. Low prices
People expect to be driven for almost nothing. They won’t pay fair market rate as I am fully insured with NYC Tlc. This is so discouraging they have people in here that probably drive cars that are not insured properly or with proper licenses. I hope nothing happens with someone in the car cause then a huge lawsuit will be with driver and bark itself. Spent money on leads for nothing. Truly not worth it

Wow, I subscribe to the free login instantly got about 30 to 40 leads of photography all day getting notifications. As soon as I went to to connect with any of these leads, it costs credits which almost cost as much as some people wanna pay for the shoot. Most of the connections are whimsical at best and want a cheap photo shoot and that's after having to pay 50 to 60 maybe $100 in credits just to connect with the lead that bark has recommended.

Could be great with a few corrections
Way too many fraudulent posting. If you’re looking to hire people to work for you this is a better option than looking for clients on this app. A bit pricey to acquire credits to communicate with potentially clients as well

Thumbtack in business casual clothing
I just paid 6499 for the credits that you have to use to unlock a lead. The lead was to garden a 12 x 12 area and plant some tomatoes. That lead cost me over 50% of my credits which is essentially about $40. I do not recommend this company.

Fake leads

None of the leads seem real
So I been using it for a 2 weeks and 2 out of 10 leads do not respond and the 2 leads that do respond feel like bot responses. Don’t use this app. It’s mostly a scam.

Bark makes you buy credits by packets. And usually that 30 credits package only responds to one or two leads. The customers don’t even respond. I sometimes get fake numbers. Yet when you contact customer support for credit return they deny. They are not in to help businesses get hired or jobs. Bark is making money from vendors or small businesses. It’s a ripoff. If you want to throw money away then use them.
Refund policy
I received a lead and called the customer. The potential customer was actually a marketing agent and they were doing reverse marketing on interior designer to promote an artist who sells art. I brought this issue to bark support team and they asked a written evidence. No one can provide written evidence if you had your conversation over the phone call. Thank you bar for providing false leads and not verifying them.

This platform makes you pay to submit for work, instead of taking a small fee for booking work. You pay an average of $4-$12 to apply for work that is not guaranteed. So no I don’t want to pay to apply for something I won’t book. Other platforms are much better because you pay a flat monthly fee and have free range to apply for work.

I purchased two credit packs and received no leads in return. Now they’re offering 80 leads for $224, but based on my experience, I’m skeptical it will yield any results. Feels like a scam-avoid it. Customer service was also unhelpful and disrespectful.
