Harmful for POTS
My main issue is with the AI. It constantly gives unsolicited and often harmful advice. It applies general population recommendations (young healthy men based data) across the board, even after being told age/sex/medical conditions.
The straw that broke the camel’s back for me was telling me to limit my water intake to 30 minutes earlier in the evening to minimize sleep arousal periods. My sleep arousal was 3%, a non issue. My last logged beverage was at 7pm. As someone with POTS, cutting off liquid at 6:30pm to solve a non existent problem is harmful advice.
The AI had been told repeatedly that I have POTS, and that the heart rate spikes are just normal life for me. Then, it used that information to consistently nag me to go lie down during my workday.
Using this app, particularly the AI, caused more stress in my life and triggered POTS flares from the nagging and stress from the AI assistant.

I subscribed to this app because I have a bodybuilding competition in a few months just to get my macros and sleep in, updated to the new version and tried the new AI thing and its bad like really bad with the calculation and analytics i mean even the suggestions about strength sessions i log a push session for example and the app tells good work on that legs session even though i am training from the workout section and also when i update my weight every morning the app takes from apple health or whatever. I like the app but the AI is really not that great
3.0 broke it
I’m tired of going back and forth with positive and negative reviews after this change. As of April 29 2026 bevel is NOT showing my recovery and sleep score. It had it this morning and when I told it it had it it started off with “Look” like it has an attitude. It swears it doesn’t have my data even though it had it this morning. It’s blaming the data gaps on my wearable but it should be getting its info from Apple health which DOES have my data bevel lost. Unfortunately, I’m gonna have to keep this a one star review until I get what I paid for because you guys got paid in advance and today I don’t have a product that I paid for & that’s a problem. Nobody likes getting ripped off. I doubt you’ll compensate so know that when my year is up I will consider other options that didn’t cheat me out of days I’ve paid for. I said several times and past reviews that Beville does not use iOS system settings to increase text size it also does not allow for its own settings to change text sizes so I’m legally blind and this app is telling me how to troubleshoot the app and I’m not I have a hard time reading and nothing I’m doing is fixing it. “Clear the cache go to profile top left then -> clear cache and reload data” but when I go into profile there isn’t a single label with the word Cache. Tomorrow I’m going to write Apple and make a complaint and request a refund. I’m not paying for a broken app that expects me to fix it.
Either buggy or a scam
App will not allow you to continue without subscribing. When you hit the continue with free version it just endlessly spins without doing anything.
The Bevel app is terrible
I got the premium (paid) Bevel membership. I had high hopes for the Bevel app. I hoped that it would give me valuable insights about my health, sleep, and recovery. Instead, it keeps telling me day after day that my recovery is terrible, and it gives me generic, BS advice every time I ask about it. I have had the app for months, I thought it would know me by now, but clearly it doesn’t. The recovery score last night was 17% (eg very low)… yet I feel rested and energized after waking up. When I ask the AI chat what I can do to increase my recovery score, it says “Do breath work”, “eat nourishing foods”. UGH!! It’s like it doesn’t event know me. I do breathing exercises multiple times per day, and I eat wholesome vegetables and foods throughout my day to day. Overall, it has been all generic fluff, scores that doesn’t match how I feel, and terrible experiences with the AI chat. How can I get my money back please?
Not Loading
I think the app is a great concept, but I can’t even get past the login and setting up. I’ve tried skipping purchasing and also signing up for a free trial in the app, and it just shows the spinning loading circle, and it never moves past that.
Garmin Connect Won’t Connect
There was an option for syncing with Garmin Connect but I just received error messages. So the app has no use for me.

Privacy?
Why do I need to create an account? Why do I even need to connect it to the internet? If I need the AI feature then it is okay but other then that my data should stay local only

As someone who is younger and wants to get into health I saw that bevel is free but when I download it there is a subscription so it isn’t free

Becomes Glitchy with Use
When I first downloaded the app I would have rated it five stars. Everything worked great. I have now used it over two months, and it seems the more I use it (or the more data it accumulates?), the worse its performance becomes. Two specific examples: it will only calculate recovery rate ~ 50% of the time. It says it’s because it can’t get RHR from Apple Health, but that app clearly shows the data that Bevel could use. Second, when beginning or ending a strength training workout the app will error out two or three times before it works. It did not do that when I first started using it. Based on its most recent performance I would not recommend it. If they can fix the bugs, then it would be a useful app.
Not syncing right anymore
This was a great app as it would sync my workouts flawlessly. Over the last week or so, it no longer syncs my workouts through other apps (Fitbod, iFit, or even Apple Health). Makes app MUCH less useful. Please fix with an update!
When it works it’s great
Never syncs with Oura. Have to constantly rebuild the data. Been like this for months.
The narratives are terrible.
Results are inconsistent and the narratives that the Bevel AI tool provides are miserable. Once you’ve added any activity to the app, it carries that forward as the only thing you do. Apple is now providing the same health stats free of charge.
No clear Nutrition log
This app is good but it doesn’t have a way to actually log your meals and then see what your macros are for that one meal. It seems as if you log and all your food is together you can tell how many calories, protein, carbs and fat I had in just that one meal. If this app had that capability it would be awesome.
Literally cannot enter correct servings and protein
