Constantly need to restart
This app has a speed issue. I set the speed it works. I record and it works fine. I go for another record and all of a sudden it’s a high speed, but still showing the slow speed I had it set to. I constantly have to restart the app. And reset up the video for it to go back to the speed that it shows.

I wish someone had given me that warning before I spent hundreds of dollars and countless hours building my workflow around BIGVU.
The issue isn’t just that the app failed. Apps have bugs. The issue is what happened afterward.
I lost access to a large batch of content that was filmed directly inside the app. My projects would not load, the app crashed when attempting to access projects, create new projects, or record new content, and I spent over two hours with support trying to find a solution.
Despite repeatedly explaining the severity of the issue, no solution was provided, no recovery path was offered, and there appeared to be little urgency despite the fact that creators can lose hours, days, or even weeks of work when these issues occur.
This is the second time I have reported serious app issues. When I pointed out that there appears to be an ongoing problem with the platform, I was simply told it would be “looked into.” That same response was given the first time, yet here I am again facing the exact same issue.
What shocked me most was the lack of support. After spending over two hours trying to get help, I still had no answers, no fix, and no confidence that anyone actually understood the impact of losing access to creator content. When I asked about canceling my subscription, I couldn’t even get assistance with that.
For an app that costs nearly $100 per month, this level of reliability and customer support is unacceptable.

Zero ability to use photo to create video
Zero ability to use your own photos to create a video. Very misleading. Requires multiple purchase upgrades that accomplish nothing. Not user friendly. Save your time and money.

Glitchy buggy waste
And trying to use this app all day every time I do anything other than save exactly what I recorded it crashes. Everything says contact Support with an email that try to save basic edits won’t save wasted hours use something else

It’s not allowing you to complete the entire video and I have sent over 15 emails to the company to get help and they don’t get back to this is a very expensive app for $99 for three months and I’ve had nothing but problems I would not buy this app again
Soooo slow
I waited for over 45 minutes for the captions to generate before giving up and trying again. Same thing again. I uninstalled. I don’t have this kind of time.

Features does not work
I purchased this app for $149 expecting full functionality, but unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. Many features are glitchy and inconsistent, often working once and then failing. Additionally, some features prompt for extra payments, which is misleading after already paying a premium price. Overall, the app does not meet expectations.

I’m trying to record a video nothing shows but a black screen. I’ve done all that was instructed for me to do and nothing is working. This has been a total waste of one hour trying to get this to work. If this is not working by tomorrow, I’m done with BIGVU.
Almost Unusable
I purchased Pro which was great at first until the sales pitch started for AI. Now I can’t even open the app without a loop of marketing trying to push me to upgrade to AI for another $139 a year. It takes about 5 minutes once I open to get past that. Then I record and have to go through the same sales pitch all over in order to download my video. I will not be upgrading or renewing. CapCut has the same feature built in. I’ll be using that from now on.

I’ve had the app for 2 years now, stopped using it for a while hoping for the problems to be fixed, and tried it again 6 months later to see no changes at all. The speed and fonts do NOT change even despite many many attempts.
Doesn’t let you save video to your phone
I recorded about half an hour of video to edit together on my computer, but this app doesn’t let you save the video to your phone. What a waste of time and good footage I can’t access.
What’s with the AI slop?
Last time I used this app it was a simple teleprompter, now it’s full of a bunch of AI slop options that don’t look good and are surely training some AI somewhere with footage of your face. Not a fan 👎
Lags and app does not work half the time
This app lags half the time your using it, you constantly would have to close the app and re-open it, just to do a simple video it would take and hour because of the app lagging and reopening the app also be ware of the subscription .
AUDIO MUTES
recorded a bunch of content using this app and went back to listen to it, and every video had no audio. every video i filmed on my camera outside the app had audio. also has an annoying logo. trash

Glitches and unexpectedly quits
I’ve been subscribed to this app for 7 days, glitches all the time and unexpectedly quits. I reached out to Apple for refund but they said apps with bugs and glitches do not qualify for refund. I wasted $100 on app that constantly glitches and quits on me. Save your money and download another teleprompter app. I do not recommend 👎🏽
Constantly crashes
I cannot believe I paid so much money for this. It constantly crashes when I’m literally just working on a script and it crashes out. The app is fully updated. This is unacceptable.
Terrible app
If you want a teleprompter app that constantly has glitches, constantly keeps changing the speed of the teleprompter script in the middle of the recording, constantly causing issues while trying to add subtitles to the videos, constantly after adding the subtitles messes up your audio sync so that the video and the audio are totally off-sync, constantly messes up the stop on pause feature and often doesn’t even work, constantly when you try to fix eye movements while reading the prompts from the screen, the app makes your eyes look unnatural and alien-alike, undertrained customer service, and so much more issues….

Bugs . It used to be good
This app used to be amazing and I would refer them all the time but now I can’t because there’s just always bugs. The camera doesn’t even work half the time even if you clear the cache or update the settings.
App keeps crashing
Every time I try to edit my script the app keeps on crashing. I can’t even shoot a video now. Can someone please tell me what the problem is. The app worked great the first 2 days but now it’s just not good. I started using this app and stopped using a different teleprompter because I heard good things about this one but now we’re here. Please help!
Rip Off
The basic consent video doesn’t even work. I have tried for three weeks to get a stupid consent video done and cannot seem to get a hold of real time customer support. Don’t wast your money on this!!!!!!!
App isn’t what it used to be
I’ve had problems with every project this past week. I’ve talked to so many people to get the app to do what it’s simply supposed to do (and always has in the past.) as a subscriber, the amount of hoops have made projects unbearable. I’ve been very patient and as soon as I bring up that I shouldn’t have to jump through this many hoops there is complete silence on their end. So 1 star for not so good customer support.
Not actually free
You have to purchase a subscription in order to remove the logo bug from your video. Therefore, it is not FREE.
Another App Ruined By Subscription
Once I was forced to do a subscription, I deleted the app, I’m not doing anymore subscriptions.
Too many crashes & bugs
App crashes everytime I open it. I’ve tried to trouble shoot and clear cache nothing has worked. Yes I’ve deleted then downloaded again, reset my phone the whole nine. I’m on the most recent iPhone with the current update. No avail.
CRASHES
I paid for the full subscription and waited for several updates to see if the crashes would stop, but the crashes are so bad that you cannot record a video with the tele prompt, the whole purpose of having the premium subscription. I honestly thought it was a scam because how can they charge a lot of money to adapt that does not work. I thought it was just me, but then I started looking at the comments and almost a lot of people have the same issue. Please fix this because it’s a great app with a lot of good features, but you cannot use it if it crashes every 30 seconds.
It don’t work period.
Doesn’t seem to scroll not sure how it even works not worth 152.00 dollars. I feel I’ve been taken advantage of.
Disappointed
Not quite sure what’s going on because the program has so many good reviews. In my world, the automatic prompter stops once it squirrels twice. I’ve done all the things restart the phone clear the storage clear the history uninstall reinstall. Beyond that they state the cost is $60 per six months yet they charged me $100. Avoid.

THE PROMPT SPEED DOES NOTHING
I swear the prompt speed changes by itself, pressing the up and down buttons do nothing and it will mess you up while reading. Also add the option to be able to pause and cut back in if you mess up, it seems like that would be common sense 🤬

It charged me for the upgrade immediately, but I can’t actually use the upgraded features until my current yearly subscription ends… which is a whole year away. That honestly makes no sense to me.
If someone upgrades and pays more money, the new features should activate right away. Support hasn’t really helped solve the issue either, which has been frustrating.
Aside from that, the app itself works well. I just think the subscription/upgrade system needs serious improvement.

Effects Not Working
At first, it was a good app, but don’t try to use it for free because it’ll cut your videos off at nine minutes. They won’t even tell you that before trying out the app. I’ve now purchased the app and it’s only been a week since I’ve purchased it and now the effects don’t freaking work! You pay all this money and now it doesn’t work. The effects feature is completely gone now, but they’re charging us all this money. I’m about to get my money back and file a complaint through my bank!
