BM3 WiFi Adapter
It will not connect to the BM3 wifi adapter and I don’t know why. The Bootmod3 app connects just fine.

Spent hours trying to connect to my bmw x7 with no luck. You would think this would’ve fixed, commented on, or someone would have some type of info. The error is unclear, tried all combinations of connection variants. Disappointing.
The BIG let down
I’ve been trying to get this app to work properly for nearly an hour (iOS)! I followed instruction to the letter and I paid for the full version; this is very frustrating!
Crapp
Bought this to correct speedometer but, in spite of this showing as an option for my car enabling the correction doesn’t actually do the correction. Similar experience with temperate warning and door lock option with key fob.
False advertising. Bad function. Trying to get a refund for this waste of $50. Doubt I’ll get it.

Does NOT work
As others have stated, trying to use this app for an E92 with the “Made for BimmerCode” OBDLink CX dongle DOES NOT WORK. Additionally, the app was advertised on their site to work with E46 platforms, and after contacting customer support, they confirmed it does not. This app should be immediately removed from the App Store.
Didn’t Work
It didn’t work on 2024 Supra Premium. Doesn’t code anything. I’ve tried coding several different features. App says coding complete but there is no change in functionality on the car.
Connection error
Way too hard. Shouldn’t be this hard to connect. Read on plenty of forums and seems like I’m not the only one. Don’t say I’m doing something wrong when there’s thousands of people having the same issue.
Misleading
Says it works with MHD adapter and it does not. Wasted $50 for a product that I can’t even use. I’m not going to buy another adapter when it already says it works with the first one. Why should I trust that it will work with another one?
Does not work with newest version of idrive
App does not work on latest version of iDrive, typically on 25 or newer vehicles. Save your money if you have a new BMW.
Disapointed
You buy the dongle, download the app...then have to spend another $49.99 to code the car. Kinda wish they said that a head of time. Now to code my car I'll be in over $200. Should have just let someone else code it for $150.

Plugged adapter in and couldn’t connect despite following the instructions provided. Pure trash.

The app is $50 just to do anything with. Incredibly too expensive. If it was $5 then maybe. But the app is extremely expensive for anyone that is just going to use it once or twice

Not sure what happened. Does not work anymore even with the new and recommended obdii reader. Private relay off, bluetooth connected, airplane mode, tried on ipad. Bmw x5 g05 series
Does not work anymore
Worked on my e9x but now I have a message saying the connection to the car could not be established. I have tried every possible fix and nothing works. I am very disappointed. Waste of money.
Stop start off doesn’t work
The only reason I bought this app was to set the stop start to off default but it has changed anything. I still have to turn it off after I start the car even when changing driving modes.

50 dollars for nothing. Need to code out adaptive light malfunction on my f82 and it doesn’t work.
Be weary
Very unstable on iOS even with use of ENet cable. Completely bricked a module for me. Now running without lights or even wipers. Emailing back and forth with support team (Stephan Gauch) who are responding without answering any questions or suggestions. I’m unsure if they are weaponizing incompetence or truly unable to provide support when thing s go bad. Also, support team is Europe based and takes a day just to get a response without any actionable help.

Not working g05
Bought a known working and suggested obd plug, bimmercode says it connects to the reader, then gives me an error code when I selected my vehicle claiming the car needs to be in diagnostic mode with ignition on. Which it has been ever time I’ve tried… I found others having this issue also. Nice waste of 50 something dollars
Waste of Time
Must purchase the $40 version for the ultimate experience. This version ONLY ALLOWS you to VIEW the error codes. Resetting is a no go…
Not working with ISO 26.1
BimmerCode was been working great until I upgraded from ISO 15 to ISO 26.1. After the upgrade I can not connect to any of my BMW’s. I have tried to notify the developer, but never heard anything. I have notice that in the most recent google search regarding this problem. This has become a common problem. I hope someone can fine a resolution to this problem. I really like the program.

They ruined this app with the update
The app was perfect for my BMW g20 now there is no option for a 3 series. There is only three options that say 3 series, M3 all three options don’t work with my g20. Sometimes things will be better if left alone instead of updating and ruining a good app. Very disappointing specially after paying for the full app access. I would not recommend it to anyone. Instead use a different app to code. I cannot trust this one anymore with something so delicate as my BMW computer if they cannot get their act straight on their own app.
Won’t connect
I can connect to my Bluetooth adapter and BimmerLink works. Gives an error on BimmerCode to make sure the car is on. It’s on. Took an update and since the update it won’t connect.
Stopped working after Sep 2025
Anyone else having the issue with connecting? OBDLink CX worked perfectly for a long time. Doesn’t work anymore. 2019 330XI. iPhone 15. iOS 26.

Made several coding changes to my 2021 x5. None of them stuck. Not one. Apparently it can’t disable the auto stop feature any way, which is why I paid money for this app.

Auto start/stop broken for Toyota Supra
The auto start/stop coding has been broken for the Supra for several months now worth no fix despite other ECU tuning apps like xHP still having it functional. Do better.
FB support & customer support is nonexistent
You can only find basic functions online & their customer support is nonexistent. Use BimmerGeeks ProTools app. Same price, but WAY better support & the options are way better on ProTools also

Can’t code stop start feature of 2021 X5. Software in ECU has been written by BMW not to allow changes in stop start. It would have nice nice to know before spending $60

I tested this app before purchase. After much hassle, I was finally able to get the app to connect to my F30 via ENET cable. So, I purchased the full version. After purchasing the full version for fifty bucks. Nothing I could do to connect again.

Had to pay an additional fee to register battery
I thought I’d be able to register a new battery with billing but found I actually had to pay another $50 to buy bimmercode. Not upfront at all

Features disappear
Worked great in the beginning. A month later I connected to make a change in the instrument display and it’s grey out and not available. Told it will be available again in the next update but there hasn’t been a next update. What’s the point in paying for an app for features to disappear?
