The Web Protection feature, is aggressively turning off my data or something.
I recently switched from Norton to Bitdefender and I must say, I am very dissatisfied.
For some reason, the Web Protection feature keeps enabling and disabling itself, which causes my data to be disabled as well! This happens when my iPad or iPhone goes idle.
When I wake my devices up, Bitdefender’s Web Protection feature enables itself along with my data and every notification that was sent to me when Bitdefender disabled my data, comes rushing in!
This is dangerous and unacceptable! I’ve never seen a Web Protection feature behave like this! It’s unstable and shouldn’t be disabling itself nor should it be disabling Apple users’ data, causing users to miss out on important notifications!
Norton’s Web Protection feature, never acts like this, it stays active indefinitely, until the user disables it. Norton’s Web Protection feature and Premium VPN are so aggressive, that users some times have to delete them from their VPN settings, just to disable them. Their VPN features are so stable that they aggressively try to keep themselves active at any cost!
Again, I’m not pleased with the experience of Bitdefender’s Web Protection feature, I shouldn’t have to go without a secure internet connection due to how unstable Bitdefender’s Web Protection is!
Fix the issue that causes your Web Protection feature to disconnect when iPads and iPhones go idle. I don’t know if you guys need to work closely with Apple to resolve this issue or what but I’m not returning as a Bitdefender customer until the issue is addressed and fixed!

Not scanning files on phone!
I installed the app, but it's not scanning any of the files on my phone! It's only scanning to see if certain conditions are met: whether the iOS is up-to-date, whether the device access, wifi security, account privacy, and browsing and scam protection are activated. The VPN is not as good as ExpressVPN. When I use their VPN, I see inappropriate pictures in a certain app--when I use ExpressVPN, I don't. I will try reinstalling the app, as they advised. I reinstalled the app, and I get the same result.

I don’t want this app!! The it was presented. I thought it was to purchase more iCloud storage! I already have protection for scammers or whoever to block them! I thought the $54? Was for additional iCloud space. Please respond to this request!

It won’t fully open, it starts and then freezes your phone so you can’t do anything. My iOS version is up to date. For what’s allegedly the best at catching malicious software, this is a piece of trash that won’t even fully open.

Untrustworthy merchant. I was charged an automatic renewal, even though I had not authorized renewal. Merchant refused to cancel my service .
Impossible to Stop Automatic Renewal of Membership
There is not way on this App to stop automatic renewal. I do not want this App to be renewed. There should be a way to stop automatic renewal on this App. I cannot use App as it is incompatible with Starlink which is the only internet provider for my location.
Intrusive
It’s a very intrusive app, insisting on keeping me on a VPN on my secure home network, not allowing me to turn VPN off and I suspect it’s causing issues on my iPhone now, shutting it down constantly every time it turns VPN on.
Doesn’t work as advertised
For example, Scam Alert won’t activate. Screen msg says allow it to access Calendars and gives steps to allow scanning Calendars, but Calendar is not listed under the Mobile Security App.

It did NOT let me turn the vpn off through the corner of my phone so I went to the app but the internet would not load, nothing on my phone would load. So I had to delete the app and my internet worked again (the entire time the internet was on and connected so there was something wrong with the app not my internet)

I have been opening links that should be trusted only to find they are scams. Scams telling me my phone has viruses and such. These are not very fun to deal with.

What’s the purpose of this?
It’s amazing how unnecessary and utterly useless Bitdefender on Apple devices is. As poor as the Mac version is compared to Android and Windows, the iOS version managed to be even more useless and only serves as ad space for other Bitdefender paid products. That’s its sole purpose. No usefulness whatsoever. When they added spam text filtering, I thought great, finally something that might be useful on iOS. I was wrong. Never caught any junk texts. Not even the “you will go to jail for not paying this toll” or the “here’s your invoice to download four this thing that you never had” well known scams. Seriously just a waste of space. Removing for good and terminating subscription when the time comes.
Very VERY bad customer service
I bought this a year ago, nothing really to say about the quality of the service, BUT I thought I cancelled turns out I did not, perfect, i didn’t find any easy turn off subscription button, misleading, I emailed them a couple of days ago, no answer, I’m calling them right now, been waiting for 20 mins and still in hold, overall no response at all

I have changed quite a few passwords here recently. I even scanned right now just to see if I was protected even though I didn’t need to do anything else.
A lot of time when my browsing protection isn’t connected, I have to turn on a VPN just to get it to connect. Am I really safe using this app?

This has shaken my confidence with bitdefender. I had run bitdefender and it did not identify any threat.
Keeps closing
The web protection keeps turning off even when the VIN is not on. I have reported it pop but there has been no resolution to the problem.

Much of what this app provides is already available in other apps (VPN, web protection, anti-phishing). Probably worth the price if you need to check a box for corporate compliance, but I’m not sure the juice is worth the squeeze for personal devices.

When I turn VPN off, I expect VPN to stay off, but that is not the way it works. I’ve done everything but uninstalled remove the app. I’ve turned it off. It turns itself back on. I disabled the VPN. The VPN reenables itself? Sending to Apple? Proceed with Caution!
