Zero Support and Broken App
Avoid this app. I subscribed by mistake and the app immediately froze, making it impossible to use or access account settings. I sent FIVE emails to their support team and never received a single response. I had to delete and reinstall the app just to get it to work long enough to cancel. Incredibly frustrating experience and nonexistent customer service.
Do Not Purchase! Buyer Beware
I bought the app to try it out. I used it for a week, didn’t care of the way it worked and canceled. One month later they are still debiting my bank account. No customer service or support. Just an email and I heard once from “Jake” from the company and it’s been 3 days with no further reply from him. It’s appears to be one of “those” shiesty companies! BUYER BEWARE! Hopefully I get my $80 refunded!
Awful
This app was absolutely awful. For years I’ve used the MyFitnessPal app and never wanted to pay a little extra for the premium as the free version works so well. The amount of tiktok videos promoting BITEPAL is the only reason I downloaded and paid $24 for the membership. This app is truly awful. It’s inaccurate and could learn a lot from MyFitnessPal. That being said I cancelled BitePal and paid for the premium MyFitnessPal and I’m extremely content. I’m glad BitePal pushed me to pay for MyFitnessPal.

Lo usé durante unos días en la forma gratuita y me funcionaba súper bien, decidí pagar la aplicación porque iba todo bien y a los minutos decidí hacer el pago cerró mi cuenta y ya no me dió acceso, solo me quitó el dinero de mi tarjeta y dejó de funcionar, quise que me regresaran el dinero y no lo hicieron, es una estafa no la paguen
Still haven’t gotten what I paid for
I bought a meal plan addition for the app and it didn’t sync with my account. I email support for help and haven’t heard back either. At this point I’m done with the app it’s not very good every addition is crazy expensive and it’s simply not worth the money. There are free apps that are better and more accurate than this. If I could go back and never download and not pay for anything I would, I doubt they do refunds since they can’t even respond to support requests for features you pay for.

Useless / No Refunds
Buyer beware - this app is absolutely useless and they will auto charge you for another three month subscription without warning. I saw the charge come through and attempted to cancel the same day - hadn’t used the app in over six weeks and they would not refund my money

Not accurate on calorie count when scanning in a meal
AWFUL AND DOES NOT GIVE REFUNDS
Do not waste your time or money on this app. It makes you input everything and has absolutely no accuracy. Such a waste of my time and money. I have emailed them 5 times as well to get a refund,first time they answered me twice calling me the wrong name and telling me they can’t find my account info, even though i have proof of everything and provided it, and then just completely stopped answering me.
Needs work
Needs better option for scanning food. Possibly a barcode scanner. Even while taking a phone the nutritional facts are incorrect

The app is horrible. Not user friendly. It doesn’t register things properly and it’s not smart enough to calculate macros properly. To complete your terrible experience you cannot get a refund if you decide to cancel after more than 2 days of using it once you realize it’s worthless.

took my money when paying for plus, did not give me anything and said I hadn’t purchased it.
Not Accurate and Stole my money!
The AI scanning feature is completely inaccurate, and it’s the ONLY option to log your food. There is no way to override or clarify the breakdown of macros for each item of food you eat. Additionally, I paid for the 12 week plan to just see how this tracking thing goes… and today after 4 days, it blocked my access to most features and asked me to pay to upgrade. AGAIN? What a scam! ETA: I cancelled any subscriptions immediately via Apple and I was charged for a THREE MONTH SUBSCRIPTION anyway. I was thankfully able to request a refund, however this app is clearly scamming people and needs an update.
SCAM
Wouldn’t work. Emailed asking for a refund. They responded once and then ignored. They just charged my credit card 40 dollars! Over 50 bucks spent on an app I can’t even use!
Horrible app
This app is grossly inaccurate when logging food. I understand it more of a motivation app, but it’s not close. That’s if it’s even working. I have had it for just under a week and every single time I log food it errors out or freezes. It’s updated. My phone is updated etc. but it still doesn’t work. I don’t suggest buying it unless you wanna be frustrated.
Canceled subscription charge anyways
I had canceled my prescription due to financial reasons and no longer have my account, but their company has been charging me anyways for a year long subscription and I had even emailed them after they attempted to charged me multiple times to please stop
Be careful of the charges!
They already charged me for the year but then they are charging me quarterly as well for $67! It doesn’t sync with health and accuracy of ai guessing is not good. Going to fitnesspal.

So this seemed like a great idea. I paid a promo of 19.95 a month. To get started and then 38.99 after. Literally the first day I could not get it to work correct I wouldn’t scan my food. It wouldn’t count calories it wouldn’t do any of that so I canceled it. I went back to confirm that I canceled it. It said that I couldn’t find my account and made it seem like the cancellation had actually went through. I woke up this morning. Surprised to find that I had been charged by paddle 38.99. I put all my information couldn’t find my account. It made me create an account with paddle just to find out that bitepal still had charged me.
Cute but so expensive for so little.
Not going to renew after trial. It’s so expensive.

Two stars because the interface.
It’s alright
This app doesn’t work very frequently and sends you the same notifications even if you just logged food 10 minutes later it says to log food. A lot of times it won’t log anything and says there’s an issue and try again later so it’s hard to get actual photos of your food
Inaccurate and Tedious
Great concept-not developed enough yet for $35.99 a year. Inaccurate caloric information, frequently requires the user to look up and correct the info. When the interface guesses what you are eating the preview screen does not show the nutrition information-so you have to go back and edit it if incorrect (which is most of the time). Not worth the hassle.

Good idea lacking
I am enjoying this idea. But the calories are way off and should be able to edit the fasting information more. It overwhelms me that I don’t have more options. Honestly fitness pal is way better but I’ve already paid for the year😒if you could interact with the raccoon more for encouragement that would be good too.
Great concept, it struggles with precision
I love the concept of this app and I was really hoping it would help me more easily track what I'm eating. I'm pretty disappointed about the AI estimation of how much I'm eating. I often use a food scale, so I have a pretty good idea of how much I'm eating in a given meal, and the app is pretty consistently over double the actual amount (I.e I'll weigh out 5oz of chicken, then take a photo and it guesses I'm eating 12oz of chicken). If the estimation was a lot closer, I'd use the app way more.
Not like they say
I bought the full version. I felt that it was cool. It was cute but everybody’s showing all the raccoon told me that’s a raccoon told me that it doesn’t tell you anything. It tells you the amount you’re supposed to eat and then that’s about it. It doesn’t harass you saying hey you need more protein hey you need more of this or how you need to drink water. It just says hey you haven’t fed me that is all it does. It does not tell you what you need to eat like every day and everything like how people are saying that all I was told the raccoon helped me lose weight and then the raccoon doesn’t do what people are saying it does. It’s not even a good tracking app. I can’t put everything I want in at one time unless I take a picture with sometimes I don’t wanna do. I feel silly trying to take a picture and it’s not that accurate. It will tell you one thing and do another. It’s weird like any other thing I can scan like I scanned and I put the whole box and they’re not as one serving and it shows you the box and the serving it’s not ready yet and if this looks crazy, I’m doing talk to text that was bad I know
Nothing special
It’s an ok app. I don’t find where it helps me all that much. I had more success on myfitnesspal. I lost 98 lbs using that one. But I jumped on the bandwagon and paid for it. So I’ll use it until it expires.
Requires more money for full function
It predicts calories based on food pics which is cool. However, i am SHOCKED that I paid for a subscription only to learn that I need to snack MORE subscriptions on top of it just to get real usability. Without getting the second layer, I cant modify my calorie goal and it is stuck at 1300 calories unless I pay $2.99/mo more. I cant see the macros. I cant add goals. Ridiculous to pay for an app and then only be able to use it to track calories and water and not actually use the weight loss and health elements of the app.
