Huge Fail
You have totally screwed up the best financial app ever. The new version has erased my watchlists!!!
Paying for a broken app
Pay an exorbitant subscription for the right to view the headline but not the article. They broke the app and now none of the articles open when you click them.
The fact that the app’s most basic function-opening articles-is broken tells you everything.
The fact that this is supposed to be the mecca of financial journalism-covering trillions of dollars across the global economy-is laughable at this point. With the sheer number of bugs, the app feels more like BuzzFeed than a serious financial news platform. There’s embarrassing, and then there’s this.
App is broken
While it’s always been a little buggy, the latest update broke the app so that you can not click a link to get to an underlying story. No links work at all. If you close the app and relaunch it repeatedly, you can get it to work for a couple of minutes, before it locks up again. Please fix this. And test before you deploy. I am on iOS 26.5.1 on an iPhone 17 Pro
Full of bugs
This is one of the most bug-ridden apps i use. Audio playback is a disaster.
Biased and Unfair…. Not worth the only political views and ads!
Bloomberg’s biases are obvious unfortunately…
Pay to get ad spam!
I paid a lot of money to get this because I thought it would be more value able than the drama daily stock news, however, this paid app is just full of commercials and ads and it’s bearable to watch.
Great articles bad experience
I cancelled because they spammed me with email i didnt want or ask for daily and no matter how much i tried to unsubscribe it wouldnt stop. Also the cancellation and live chat support seemed deliberately difficult. I dont even want to unsubscribe I just hate the feeling of being abused as a customer more.
Article
Written articles / materials disappearing, More and more video clips. Soundbites. That’s not what I subscribed for -
Paid but can’t read
Paid $100 for the subscription, but apparently it’s not good enough to read articles on this app.
Biased
Bloomberg editorial and staff are biased. There is zero focus on journalism and it’s all about broadcasting their political views. It’s distasteful, discouraging, and disrespectful.
Completely broken
Every time I launch this app it throws up an error that it’s unable to restore because I purchased it using a different Apple Account (I did not). I subscribed in the app and it won’t let me link to my Bloomberg account and still puts up an error that I’m using the wrong Apple account.
Bloomberg App Review
Bloomberg needs to do a better job with its app, especially with the live media streaming section. The live media section does not work 100% of the time, which is very frustrating when you paid to obtain current market information via its shows (Bloomberg Surveillance, etc.). The app also on occasion unexpectedly quits / freezes. Bloomberg LP should be able to do better.
This is a bit of a scam
If you ever buy a subscription and cancel it, you don’t even get the free stream anymore. That’s genuinely underhanded.
Trash
1) it won’t link the account between mobile and desktop - I can only read through the app despite paying for the subscription.
2) the app automatically turns off your music (eg spotify) on apple iPhone whenever you check the Bloomberg app, despite no video playing and no video clicked on on requested.
3) lots of opinionated language all sorts of articles where it literally adds zero to the content. I’m not sure if they think their readers are stupid or if their reporters think it is their job to guide the readers to their personal opinions about things or what. I paid for financial news, I just want relevant facts presented legibly. alas, this was too big of an ask for Bloomberg News apparently.

Sucks
This new platform sucks
They suffer severely from TDS
Great new site till it comes to Trump. Every day, I get a few alerts for things that are absolutely not news worthy but they’re sending it because of their severe TDS. Correcting trump on a statement etc. The amount of anti-Trump notifications I get from this app. Is probably more than they sent during the entire financial crisis, although they are a financial platform. Someone over there is gotta go for some TDS therapy.
Stop the Noise
I cannot stop the live radio!!!!! No “x” or stop button.
Watchlist no more available
Can’t see anymore my positions. Every time it will show a pop up and when I close it the app will return to the home page
Laggy TV stream and embarrassing AI dictation - and you just broke the minimized video player
I rely on Bloomberg TV during my workday, but the 1-minute lag in the TV stream makes this app useless when economic data releases or other events are happening in realtime.
And the AI voice that reads news articles reminds me of automated market quotes from 20 years ago - it’s bad, like fingernails on a chalkboard. Perplexing because The Economist, WaPo, and every other news app I use that has an AI dictation feature seem very natural.
Finally, the last update broke the video mini-player that’s supposed to shrink and overlay part of my screen when I need to look at something else in the app while watching (it still works properly when I multitask away to a different app). The player also doesn’t change size when I rotate my phone anymore. And I get BTV+ whether is select it in the settings or not - which is completely illegible on my small iPhone screen. Amateur hour, guys.
Update: Now launching an article on the BBG stops my music from playing on Apple Music, for some reason - even though the article has no audio or video component.

Watch lists freeze regularly
Tech support of know help. Problem continues.
Restoring subscription
I have a subscription to the print edition. However, it is not that easy to get access to the online version based on the account info.
Extremely slow
The app is extremely slow. You click and wait and wait.
Poor video streaming
Have to restart the app every time I use it, then it forces the same ad six times in a row. Outsource this to a team that knows what they’re doing.
Paid Subscription
CANNOT WATCH BLOOMBERG LIVE!!!
I was asking for a handout
What do I have to do to get newsletters and things in the app like the I was promised? I have to sign up for a whole year.
Business week
Hard to download magazine on iPad. 1990’s technology.
WBBR Radio station
Removed. I did enjoy the programming.
No way to subscribe to legal news as individual
No way to subcribe to legal news/BNA as an individual.
Fix your your broken app
I have to uninstall and reinstall the app every day. Bloomberg is bugged
Red Wall Streets
Across Bloomberg networks, many shows tout the greatness of the new “Wall Streets” being created in Florida & Texas. None of the interviewers bring up the fact that females are chattel in Red States - healthcare is routinely withheld from females who are raped, pregnant, experiencing miscarriage or just need cervical cancer screening.
Both states are trying to ban birth control. Healthcare clinics for females are being shuttered. No STI tests or mammograms. No prenatal or postnatal care. Maternal & infant mortality rates are skyrocketing. When you make some healthcare illegal, it destroys access to most care for all females. But, blue pills are sacred? Wow. Your misogyny is deep.
So, all the finance & tech workers at these new Red Wall Streets are men who don’t have sex with females & never want kids? Cool.
Being worker-friendly means civil rights for all workers. Healthcare for all workers. It does not mean letting your female employees experiencing miscarriage bleed out in an ER parking lot in Miami, Dallas. It does not mean forcing your female employees to carry their rapist’s spawn. It does not mean stealing civil rights from all non-cis-hetero-white-male workers.
Florida & Texas are slave states - not economic opportunity zones. Be honest. Women & girls shouldn’t move there, they should get out as soon as they can afford to escape (if the Texas cops will even let females travel across state lines).
Shame on Bloomberg for ignoring the obvious, the blatant.
Racist and anti-LGBTQIA+ laws & christian nationalist white supremacist culture are other reasons not to do business in Florida, Texas & the other red states who hate >70% of workers & consumers based on gender, melanin levels & sexual preference.
It’s disgusting that Bloomberg excitedly, fervently promotes these Maga Wall Streets without even mentioning the negative impact on the majority of workers.

Endless ads for Alphadots
The app has started spamming daily push notifications for their Alphadots game. No way to selectively disable these within the app. So had to tell iOS to disable all push notifications for everything coming from the Bloomberg app. Shame. :(
Paywall

Audio Bluetooth Problems
Every time I switch to another app and come back to Bloomberg app to watch a streaming content audio doesn’t work. I’d have to switch to a music app and lay music to activate the audio bluetooth, then come back to Bloomberg app for it to have sound.
Almost impossible to cancel
The Bloomberg Arts app is amazing. Mayor Bloomberg was a great NYC mayor. Bloomberg news is often quite informative and insightful.
But this news app - which costs quite a bit- makes canceling a subscription very, very difficult. And that’s exceptionally disappointing, frustrating and- well, unethical.

Useless without paying
You used to be able to track and manage portfolios and watchlists without a paying subscription. They’ve now removed this functionality, and with pretty much everything else behind a very expensive paywall now, there isn’t much use having this app. Unless you’re already a Bloomberg subscriber.
Stock tracking
Stock tracking used to be free as part of using the app. Now I suddenly get prompted to subscribe and don’t have access to my portfolio.
ChatGPT > Bloomberg
Bloomberg charges more than ChatGPT, your retirement account, bank, and Netflix but has the worst value proposition. Plus the app is glitchy and spammy. I definitely don’t recommend the app or company.
Garbage
Fake democrat news
Tricked into Subscribing and unable to access content
I agreed to read an article for $1.99 which auto upgraded to monthly subscription without my knowledge and during this period I was still unable to access or content or figure it out through the online customer service. Finally called and they weren’t willing to even credit for the months I’d been paying without access to content.
Annoying
I get frustrated with the live video on my iPhones. If I touch the edge of the screen wrong it stops the video and when you restart it back it plays another commercial and I miss the last 30 seconds of the show.
Carplay not working
Carplay not working. App just shutters. Tried to contact developer but doesn't go to right page.
Seriously Biased
It is a true shame that this once solid financial news source has become such a liberal rag, and can no longer separate news from opinion. The WSJ is the benchmark in media right now for a publication willing to question the political party it favors. Not one liberal media source did that as Biden's mental health was severely failing. Clearly Michael Bloomberg has decided to let his Trump derangement syndrome override his desire to be a legitimate news source.
DEI-toxic media
Very DEI (Women only) driven. Biased.

Update not working
Since update, app closes when you click on a story on the main page. Needs fix.
6.40.0 is worthless
Either crashes or says it can’t play the video.
Ads for paying customers
Ads for paying customers is such a slap in the face.. especially when they take longer to buffer than the actual Bloomberg content I am attempting to consume.
Pay wall
While there is a lot of good, free content on the app (markets/indices/forex, etc.). I downloaded the app and created an account to be able to READ articles. There's a promise of free limited articles monthly (exact number of the limit is not stated anywhere) if you register for a free account. Apparently, the limited free articles can only be accessed from a browser. When signed into the app, it constantly asks you to select a subscription to be able to read anything.
