Afternoon in Paris. It seems to have better rate than Uber. However, I placed an order base the rate they given and confirmed it, but I was repeatedly asked to pay more, which I didn’t. The order was then suddenly cancelled. This happened 6 times within 36 minutes!!!

"Pay Extra For Priority"
I am trying to get a simple 10 minute ride to an area that is not walkable. 3 times I have gotten a driver and they are "on the way" then they cancel it on me. It kept trying to upcharge me 6€ more to guarantee a driver. This is aborrent service and I will be sticking to Uber from now on... It costs less and it is way more reliable. This app should not be running. I left with over an hour and now I don't even know if I will make it to where I am going on time. This app is such a scam ripoff... Just don't even bother wasting your time or money on this app...

Cash grab
You will not get a ride unless you pay for a boost. Trying to get a ride to the airport early in the morning? Forget about it. Schedule a ride and no one will accept it unless you pay an extra fee. Uber is much better. Bolt is horrible.

Awful AI customer service, bad navigation
Over two days in Europe, Bolt’s own interface incorrectly located two different addresses, sending me more than 45 minutes away from my desired destination the first time, 15 minutes away the second time. Contacting a human agent was impossible; terrible AI robot responses couldn’t offer refunds or compensation for the fact that its maps get locations completely wrong. I will never use BOLT again.
Use Grab
This company should be embarrassed by how bad this service is. The maps never work and the customer service is the WORST OF ANY COMPANY IN THAILAND, I’ve ever experienced. His forbid you lose something…with their help you can say good bye. Their drivers 9/10 x can not find you because their kids barely work. Pay the bit extra and use Grab and save yourself frustration,

Bad review
The rental car arrived halfway and when I arrived at the place where I was told to call another car, I was charged 1480 baht for the fine and the toll, which was only 480 baht.
Missed my reservation.
App said car was 3 minutes away. Took 25 minutes for it to arrive making us miss our lunch reservation that we have to pay for. No way to cancel ride in the app even when they are super late.
Horrible service and even worst support
Driver stopped in the middle of the intersection, didnt let me through the passenger door, didnt say hi, went 80kmh on 130kmh highway, dropped me off and shouted slurs. I got deactivated.

Bait and switch
Horrible app. Promotes drives that are nearby but never are. And when you get one they cancel. Uber is more expensive but at least it works. Bolt is the worst of all car hailing apps.
Can’t register on the app because I’m traveling and don’t have a local phone number
In Thailand and only have a data sim without a phone number so it won’t let me continue registering and done have access to other country phone service

Absolutely disgusting experience with Bolt Food. I placed an order (#3FXSH) and have been waiting for 2 hours - the food still hasn’t arrived. No updates, no explanation, nothing.
Tried contacting support and guess what… no response at all. It’s like once they take your money, you just stop existing.

Two sides of Bolt
The taxi service is prompt and reliable but if you have a problem like trying to retrieve an item left in aBolt taxi, forget it. You’ll never get it back. The cumbersome ap is not set up to deal with passenger problems. You can not get in touch with anyone. We even asked a driver, who tried very hard, to get in touch with someone at Bolt and he was unable to contact even the driver of the previous car where our belongings were left.

We were in Paris when we were attacked by a Bolt driver. We immediately contacted bolt and the police. Bolt did their own “review” but despite us having witnesses, photographic evidence, video evidence and a police report they sided with the driver and canceled our account
I was absolutely floored by this until I looked into it. Turns out it is much easier for Bolt just get rid of a customer and write it off then it is to deal with firing a driver - this is because it’s legally safer and they avoid appearing like an “employer” when they don’t disciple their drivers.
This app is VERY dangerous and does not vey their drivers thoroughly. I highly recommend you avoid Bolt when visiting anywhere in Europe. Trust me.

Terrible Customer Serivr
The ride took an extra 35 minutes than the original time said due to bolts app for directions. They offered no refund or discount off of the original price

Today I tried booking a ride from Stansted Airport to Ilford using a XL vehicle. 4 separate drivers accepted my ride spoke / chatted with me and said they were on their way but cancelled the ride. Did not understand how this can happen in this day and age!!! I then booked on a competitor app and got a ride from the first driver that accepted my ride- that too in a Tesla Model X!!! No more bolt for me ever unless they monitor these cancellations and ding the drivers for not being responsible citizens!!
Don’t get
App is terrible, great prices on rides love that about it but you will save 20 minutes with uber. Drivers will pick up and drop your ride 3 times before you actually get one then once you actually find a driver you’ll have a 10% chance of the driver just sitting in the same spot not moving for 15 minutes. Such a high ceiling for this app with so much to improve on. I HATE BOLT

Pick up location not accurate & confusing. Address handling is incorrect. Scheduled ride to airport didn’t show up. Deleting my account.

Just got ripped off on a motorbike paid 100 for a 65 baht ride driver refuses to give me any change and demanded more deleted app beware as support won’t help and don’t support there customers
A functional scam
Yes you can get a ride eventually, but not without available drivers passing up your request and demanding more than the posted rate. This app is absolute trash for being such a waste of time.
Driver stole my documents and Bolt did nothing about it
I had a driver deliver my documents and he didn’t even make it to the destination. I contacted Bolt and they’re super slow and they’re not helpful at all. I asked them if they would at least refund the fare. They told me to just wait for assistance and they did nothing.
Extremely disappointing
Extremely disappointing and stressful experience with Bolt today. The app initially showed an estimated fare between 32-41 AED from Hatland to Al Quoz. After reaching the area, we realized we had selected the wrong branch (Street 14 instead of Street 13). The driver adjusted the location - the distance difference was minor.
To our absolute shock, the fare suddenly jumped to 240 AED. This increase was completely unreasonable and unjustified. Support provided inconsistent explanations (traffic demand, different route, waiting time), none of which matched what actually happened. The driver himself confirmed that the route change was minimal and there was no waiting time.
We spent around 45 minutes in the car trying to resolve the issue. Support then offered a “discount” to 180 AED, which still made no logical sense. Only after escalation and serious frustration were we told to pay 60 AED.
Pricing should be transparent and based on clear rules - not something customers have to argue or negotiate over. This experience felt highly unprofessional and damaged our trust in the platform.

Bad for travelers
I tried using Bolt in Thailand as a traveler and the app rejected two of my Visa credit cards. The customer support suggests it’s my issue and that I should verify my details and make sure I have enough money, which is pretty insulting considering we’re talking about 200 BHT. Grab accepted my card without issue and I was able to get where I needed, although for a slightly higher price. If you don’t want to get stranded, it highly suggest not using Bolt.
Bad Drivers Bad Cust. service
Drivers often pick you up and then kick you out for. The street just to take more profitable rides. Drivers also will pretend they don’t see you so they can discriminate against you. Then when drivers double charges, customer service refuses to take responsibility. Never received a discount or refund for any of the cheats and steals this service regularly provides.
Always Late
Drivers can’t seem to follow their own navigation system. They consistently circle my location, and I have yet to be dropped off accurately Much less reliable than competition.

Customer Service
Bolt’s customer service for lost items is non-existent. If you lost something on the car - bye bye. Use Grab instead! They even allow you to dial or message the driver within 24 hours. Deleting this app after losing a priceless item on a ride. They did not even try to call the driver.

I ordered a Bolt for transport in Paris. The app said it would cost 48€. We were waiting at the curb, on time. I was charged 76€. I will NEVER use Bolt again. Stick with Uber!!!
