Charged double for the ticket compared to pricing at theatre. Support also just ignored stating pricing is dynamic like airlines. Uninstalling now
Payment UX Issues
After hitting Pay, app shows I don’t have an internet connection. While the rest of the app works, am connected to internet. For something this serious like a payment, you need to care about the UX and clearly state what went wrong. “No internet connection” is just wrong, and should not be a catch-all screen for whatever exception you encounter.

It’s shameful that BookMyShow chose to delist Kunal Kamra’s shows just because a few party workers felt “offended.” Since when did threats dictate what comedians can or cannot perform? Instead of standing up for freedom of speech and expression, you chose to bend the knee to political bullies. Spineless move. Art and satire are not supposed to be silenced because of political pressure.
If you can’t protect performers and users’ right to choose, don’t pretend to be a platform that supports entertainment. Uninstalling and never coming back.

I use this app as a free resource. I don’t want them to have any of my money. I have taught everyone i know this trick because you never run into problems this way. I will continue to promote this way of using the app not because of any issues I’ve ever had. I just think it’s really funny they will never get me or my friends money. The employees of this company are pan chodes and the person who is getting paid to read these reviews is the biggest pan chode haahahahahhahahhahaha yes you saaar!!!!
Why is the app like this?
Why in any world would I pick the type of movie screen BEFORE I choose the location I want to watch a movie at!?!? In a city that takes an hour to go 1 km, why wouldn’t location be the first choice after choosing language and movie!?!?

They took my payment and gave me an error that said “Payment successful but Booking Failed.” Then refunded the money to BMS cash. It was a huge payment, I had clubbed it with bank discounts, so they refunded what I paid in BMS cash. Then when I tried to do the booking and use BMS cash, I had to pay MORE than my initial price because surprise surprise, BMS cash can’t be clubbed with any discounts and this is the way they scam people out of their money. Check their reviews, a lot of people have faced this issue. They usually do this to people after 2-5 bookings but no one is safe. Do not trust the positive reviews, it WILL happen to you too.

Very poor app with the worst type of network infrastructure I’ve ever seen but a ticketing partner.
Can’t even imply a basic code of giving queue numbers to customers and outright scamming people to wait for 2 hours while the tickets would’ve been already sold in half an hour.

Bookmyshow’s team is Irresponsible
I booked ticket for badshaah music concert. It was postponed by the organizer. Now bookmyshow is not refunding the ₹2000 that I paid for 2 tickets. It is already over 1 month.

Card offers are selectable but when it is selected and details entered, it always says that the offer limit is reached.
There is some unethical stuff going on in the backend to avoid customers availing their card offers.

No back gesture recogniser
The year is 2022 and BMS app still doesn’t have the swipe to back navigation functionality.

Streaming Quality
Stream quality is horrible lately - stream won’t cache in despite internet quality being exceptional.

I am unable to use Airplay option for streaming movies.
Still a crap after 5 versions!
Get a UI-UX designer and understand how people browse for movies. The location feature doesn’t show the precise area. There is no ‘Search’ button on the map. The map stupidly shows just the theaters which fall under the nearest city auto-selected. Such a pain to use this app on iOS. I’ll prefer walking to the theater and booking my tickets than using this level of poor online service.

When you choose the email option - it supposedly sends you an OTP to your email address but you never receive the email. Booked tickets and never received any email. Now I have to contact support 😡
