Oweful
The worst app to connect speakers to your iPhone. You have to spend hours trying to connect them. Once you have done it they get disconnected for no reason. No more Bose products in this house. We definitely will move to SONOS. More friendly and less complimented.
Connectivity and practicality are disgusting
I have a speaker and headphones. For each product I need different apps. Once every week I suffer to get my stuff connected when it’s just Bluetooth connection. Please hire competent software devs.
Broken app… please fix
It won’t link bose bluetooth speakers as advertised
Bose app
The app never wants to connect to my speakers on the first try! Takes two and sometimes 5-6 times. Vary frustrating! I’ve owned Bose products for years but this last year I have lost faith in this company! I called them a couple months back and was told that my speakers were non repairable and nothing they could do. I said then just throw them away? No customer care at all!
Can’t connect
App shows headphones are connected and still, no sound comes out of them. I’ve been wrestling with this for years. Absolutely done with Bose.
Worst
Cannot even make a simple connection to an iPhone. Waste of time.
Sound Quality
No bass, treble equalizer???
Another app for virtually the same.
It’s really disappointing that two Bose sound link flex speaker the same model only gen 1 and gen 2 can’t connect they are virtually the same. So to add a new speaker I have to buy all again?!
Bye. Will return it.
Bye. Will return it.
Hey Bose, I want you to buy these back!
When using my speakers, I have more problems connecting than getting help at the DMV. You know that there is an issue, but do Nothing! I want my money back!!!!!!!
Stopped Working!!
I got the app two years ago with my Bose speaker, it worked great at first, but about 2 months later it stopped connecting to my speaker, it would show it on the app and when I would try to connect it would say unable to connect, and it would show all of the steps to fix, I would do that, but it would not help. I tried to delete the app and redownload, didn’t help, tried signing out and signing back in, didn’t work. Tried to contact Bose, never responded. So that’s the reason for the one star.
ANDROID APP DOESNT WORK!!
I’m honestly surprised this hasn’t come up before!
how has it never been an issue? The Android app just doesn’t work. How does it even have a 4.8 rating?

Frustration on parade
One issue after another with this cumbersome link application process. I finally gave up after a half hour. The app is deleted.
Install just to be told install another Bose app
Bose disable noise cancellation, and voice assistant on my NC700 once I deleted the app, I had install this just to told install another Bose app. This is what’s wrong with corporate greed, feature you buy a product will be disabled, so you can be charged for subscription or mined for data.
Take down app
Take down your dumb app if you’re just going to tell me to download a different app.
Terrible experience
This app sucks. Anytime I have to use it, it takes hours of unplugging plugging in the sound bar, force closing and reopening app, and a bunch of other stuff that really is the hallmark of an app designed by people that make speakers.
I hate everything about this app.
I hate everything about this app.
Sucks
Bose sucks
Requires too much information
App requires too much personal information and tracking data for just to control headphones that have been purchased. Contacts facebook in the background for no useful reason. Avoid purchasing Bose products that need this app if you value your privacy at all.
SO Terrible!
Update: Still quite literally the most inconsistent app I've ever used. Bose blew it on this one!
Will constantly tell you to do what you've done and been doing to try and connect. SO insulting and beyond description frustrating!
Get it together Bose!

Connecting Speakers
90% of the time the speakers will not connect to each other. Bose quality & sound is dead on, but the app sucks. Help?
Completely broken
Keeps going into a pairing loop. Speaker unusable even after factory reset.
No EQ settings
No EQ settings

Doesn’t connect to any of my Bose speakers, this app sucks
App is a waste
The only reason for the app is party mode, but almost every time I use it it doesn’t connect or loses connection out of nowhere. It tries to connect to my least used devices all the time. I have to disconnect all synced devices or turn off the Bluetooth for all other connected devices to be able to connect to phone that I use ALL THE TIME with no issue. Once that’s finally done then I have an issue with connecting to party mode. I can play my music, but when I try party mode the app tells me I have to set up a speaker connection to do so. I can literally liste and connect to both speakers individually, but when I try party mode, it seems to not read the connection on the app… waste of time. I will be looking for an alternative speaker brand if things don’t change.
Bad bad bad
Terrible app doesn’t connect really bad
It sucks
The app sucks. The speakers suck. Do not buy.
App Interface
For a later and younger product, App layout should be more intuitive, just as or better than the SoundTouch. Closing the app means turning the speaker off and you can’t play other stations from within the app. Can this be rectified and if so can you make the program more intuitive? Thanks for your consideration, thanks.
2007 Technology
In 2026, it is crazy how much effort it takes to connect two speakers. 5 minutes of trial and error. Every single time.
MISLEADING COMPANY
Bose is dead. There is no reputation because no one is there. This is a company that I am finished doing business with - it is over. It is completely over. It will never be back. Goodbye.
Terrible
Cuts out and disconnects from Bluetooth. Disconnects speakers in pair all the time. Hopeless app and poorly designed.
Absolute garbage
It does not connect to control the sound levels. Had the speakers two years, attempted to connect via this app roughly fifty times. Twice is how many times it’s successfully connected. Absolute garbage.
Comically bad
Surprised a strong brand lets out such a bad app to devalue their brand.
App is broken
The part mode function does not pop up. Everytime I open the app it prompts me to connect a speaker that is already connected. It sticks you in and endless loop of going to settings to pair the device when it’s already connected. Useless app!
Worthless app
Worthless app. Over $3000 of bose equipment & will not link to play together.
Could be much better if
You have to log on to use it. WTF! Get over yourself Bose. Tired of jumping through hoops to use my $300 headphones!
Sucks
This app sucks
I wanted to like this device
…and instead every single time I set it up, whether through the Bost “Connect” App or through the iPad (in my case) Bluetooth setting, it’s always an argument between the two devices as to which volume counts, the + or - buttons on the actual device are for decorative purposes, serving no function whatsoever. Could you make a more confusing, unreliable, expensive product?
Needs update
I can’t pair with party mode any more this app needs an update for my soundlink speakers. Very frustrating it keeps telling me to pair and I do then it shows the same message to pair. What’s going on it’s not my speakers it’s this app.
😒
At first, it had good sound and was conveniently portable…and I wanted to love it, but it is buggy, disconnects randomly, and now, basically a brick on my dresser 😒😒
Unable to connect
It’s now been two weeks and I’m no longer able to connect my two Bose speakers with my iPhone 26.4.2. Neither of the two speakers recognize each other for party or stereo mode. Most of the time I have to select one speaker in the Bluetooth menu to play music. The app no longer seems to support the Bluetooth connection
Too many Bose Apps
As a user for decades, I’ve got home speakers, headphones, 4 portable speakers and trying to get your devices updated needs to be with one single app instead of having two separate apps that just seemed to conflict and fight with each other after a while you just give up and say it’s not worth fooling with. Keep it simple.
Take a longggg time to preparing product update
I don’t know why, but this app need a almost whole day for Preparing product update.
Dark mode?
As much as I like blinding myself early in the morning when I turn on my speaker, would it be so difficult to include a D A R K mode???
Do they not test this?
UI is ok but the app fails ~90% of the time. Either doesn’t detect the device, fails to connect, fails to know if it’s updated, etc… product team should be fired
