I can not get this app to download the coastal route for anything!!!! No idea why but it won’t do it.
Glitches and Lags
I’m not sure if this is just me, because I’ve heard great things about this app, but it glitches and lags considerably.
I also cannot seem to find how to load the central Portuguese route starting in Porto. It only populates from Tui north.

Not Helpful
Started my Camino Frances and as I could not use my phone the app was all but useless. Wi-Fi doesn’t exist in the Pyrenees or parts of rural Spain. What I needed was an app I could download and use regardless of Wi-Fi. A friend I was walking with put it best “this is an app designed by people who are Camino people not computer people”
Unable to download selected route.
Selected the route from le Puy to St Jean. No route detail or map would download. Disappointed. Says it’s a free download, I guess you get what you pay for.

Not sure why
The 1st 2 days the app was great. It then stopped working and glitching. I deleted and downloaded it again and could not get it to work. 🤷🏼♀️

Why is it so difficult to select another starting point? (In my case, Bilbao). It unnecessarily assumes you are starting in Irun, and not, as I might think, in a half dozen other places.

Very helpful and worth the money to buy so you can plan your staged journey.
Unfortunately 2 days into the Camino the app refused to open no matter what was done. The only remedy was to delete app and reinstall. Which wiped out everything. Including my planned stages.

Hard to navigate on the map but otherwise on
Overall the app is pretty good. It’s very informative and is kept up to date. It’s also very easy to see where you are on the Camino at any time so making sure you make the right junctions is easy
My only complaint, and it’s a big one, is that the developers made the service icons (for the albergues ect) so big that they obscure the name of the town they are in. When you try to zoom in, the name of the town disappears. So it’s really hard to know exactly where you are at any given time. You can zoom in and see where you are on the trail, but you lose all reference to where that is on the map because the names fade away. This makes it really difficult to plan and navigate.
I wish the developers would only show the Camino trail and village/city names on the map when zoomed out, and then fade them out and replace them with service icons as you zoom in closer. This would be extremely helpful.
