The premise of the app is nice, it’s like international Tinder. But in reality it has the same issue as other apps: thousands upon thousands of fake profiles. The worst part is they’re verified so either Bumpy’s verification system is broken or the app is infested by working girls and OF content creators. The scant few I met who seemed genuine and actually replied were like girls on every dating app, they want you to blow their socks off with conversation before you’ll give them the time of day. Also, the app’s free content is HEAVILY restricted. You only get like 50 swipes a day and you can barely change any of your filter settings. So if you wanna meet someone in Italy the best you can do is set the region to Europe and hope you meet someone. You can’t change filters by language which is frankly really stupid on an app like this. Then you have to consider that the restricted pro features ALSO restrict other people. So others can’t see your hearts, you just have to hope they also wave at you. The pro is naturally insanely expensive and makes you pay by week at first. All in all, pretty disappointing app. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
Photo uploads don’t work
I use the same photos in every dating app. Bumpy can’t detect my face in any of my photos. Contacted support but they just blamed their broken image upload system. I guess I have a face that’s incompatible with bumpy 🤷♂️

Catfishing Paradise
This app is a haven for romance catfishing. Scams are 90% who you are going to be talking to. That fact it will not allow screenshots means you cannot use anti catfish software to verity. Be aware that most of Africa, Indonesia, Philippines, and Cuba are all scams.
Don’t believe the paid reviews, I make real ones
App has been terrible the last month, ads popping up everywhere, every 10 likes. I have 3000 likes and was getting matches everyday and now I haven’t got any in weeks. Had about 20 matches load up from months ago that must of never went through. The premium isn’t worth buying, it’s way too expensive. If you don’t have money to travel you will probably never meet anyone on here unless they have money to travel. And sooo many fake profiles or trans. They need their own separate spot cause they’re not girls. You have a better chance on hinge and just switching your location on there for free, plus you can message people before you match on hinge.

Don’t waste your money not worth it waste of time as many of the profiles are fakes eventhough they verified that is the company fake ones. I waste a hour reveal to have the person close the chat with no reply find a better app

Great for a while until…
This app was truly great especially in comparison to the other dating apps in the US. Yes there’s scammers, yes there’s fake account but there are also tons of real people. I was talking to women in Brazil, Philippines and Venezuela. Video calls with real people. I’d get dozens if not hundreds of views and bumps per day, it was a bit overwhelming and what I imagine a hot girl on bumble receives. Then one day it was if they turned it off. No warning, no questionable behavior, just zero contacts or views. I’ve emailed support multiple times and they say everything looks fine to just keep engaging and using the app. Paid boosts don’t work, nothing works. How do I go from endless bumps from women all over the world to zero overnight? Total bummer.

Wasted time creating my profile, only to get to the final step of picture uploads and every time I pressed submit, nothing happened. Couldn’t go further or back. So annoying.

Terrible moderation
Always been respectful and kind yet this app, whoever moderates it, will randomly ban you for days on end without warning or reason. They will allow fake, scam accounts every other profile you cross, but then will go and ban well meaning people.

From 100+ interactions in the first two weeks to 0 views and 0 likes, even after sending out over 100 correspondences. I would imagine at least a small percentage of those would view my profile, but it sits at 0. This has been happening for 3 weeks now.

We’ll be filing a class action lawsuit soon if you don’t review the app and their practices. Apple will also be named in the lawsuit because you aren’t willing to do anything to hold this company accountable.

I enjoyed the app while it was working
I really was enjoying the app. I even met someone that I really liked, but then all of a sudden I stopped receiving messages all together. I thought maybe it was a restriction but I am pretty sure it’s a bug. I’d really like to have this issue be resolved and would be happy to change my review but this has been hard to go through on top of being a paying customer.

It’s full of scammers. Every “pretty girl” it’s fake, they would ask you to go to WhatsApp, do a video call, a nude video call, they would take screenshot and try to blackmail you. My roommate woke me up with a panic attack telling me that this happened to him and that he was going to get fired and thinking of committing the worst against his life. I can’t think of a worst experience whit an app than this

There are scammers out there who will ask for your Instagram and WhatsApp. Once they get you on WhatsApp, they will ask you to do a video call. They will get you to do some freaky stuff. They will screen record the call and then blackmail you. They will threaten you with posting your video on porn sites and sending your video to all of your followers and friends and family on Instagram. Do not fall for it. Do not get naked on the calls. Trust me.

Trust me, if your favorites on this app are real people, they will also be on any decent dating website!

Not User Friendly
I usually don't write reviews, but I've deleted this app twice now because of this issue. I've gone to select photos to use on my profile, with no filters, all of them have clear shots of my face, all raw unedited, and it doesn't let me proceed and says that they're filtered or don't show my face. This is extremely frustrating.
