Recommended fat ratios are too low for optimal human health.
Whole animal products are rated way down, ignoring their actual nutrient profile and incredible bioavailability of over a dozen essential nutrients.
Functionally the app needs to allow logging entries in the past, at least for the previous day.
Either way, I have cancelled this subscription and will circle back to myfitnesspal.
There is nothing unique here outside of this app’s unhealthy guidance.

They took my money and kicked me out of my subscription.
I have tried contacted them so many times and they have left me hanging. I have sent screenshots of my card being charged $29.99 for my yearly subscription and now I can’t login and it says I have no subscription. They have no phone number I can reach and call customer service.

No wonder they charge you for one year all at once. This was never advertised to me when I bought my subscription. They didn’t offer me a reimbursement or anything, just told me to buy another subscription. I guess I’m supposed to time buying a new phone based one when my annual cal ai subscription expires? Ridiculous. Total ripoff.

Stay Away! Inaccurate
Please don’t waste your money. I tried everything to get support from this “company.” Virtually impossible. Wanted a refund due to this obvious inaccuracy of the app. I kinda suspected it, but ran tests on a plate that I calculated calories carefully from the foods nutritional labels. I weighed items too. I did this for THREE separate plates with different food items.
The apps total calorie count was off by 37%!
Yes, I know that you can override and enter your own numbers, but who the heck has time to figure out calories and enter into their data base? Might as well just add the calories up oneself.

App does not work
At least 90% of the time, the app straight up stops working. The home page goes blank and you can’t track a single thing. Complete waste of money. I’ve emailed support several times with literally zero help or resolution. They stole my money.

Solid app. Sadly they double charged me and haven’t refunded one of my subscription fees. I have reached out to their support team multiple times and it has now been about six weeks.

This App I Broken
Things were fine for the first couple of days, but the more I used the app the more I found things don’t work. So many basic functions such as viewing a previous day, copying a meal from one day to another, and even changing times of meals only works half of the time.

Downloaded the app things were going great then I was suddenly unable to add any food or exercises , reached out to customer service for days back and forth because it says my account doesn’t have a subscription in the app but if I log in online it shows my subscription listed , they couldn’t figure it out so I was waiting on a refund , the an escalated refund . Still almost two weeks later stopped hearing from them .
super inaccurate estimations
I regret purchasing the subscription, the estimations are super inaccurate how does my chicfila fried have 800 calories?? i would scan something that has 400 calories per serving written on the label and it’d come up as 150 calories, this app wont help i dont recommend whatsoever.

I scan things and nothing shows up. I get a badge for scanning something but nothing is there showing what it was or how many calories were taken away. Seems like a nice app but obviously broken at the moment.

Do NOT buy family plan
The family plan does not work and they refuse to fix the issue. Any invite you send to family doesn’t work it just takes them to the app and asks them to pay for a membership. I went ahead and cancelled my family plan subscription which is still active mind you until April next year and now on the app it says I don’t have the family plan so now I genuinely wasted $60 for **** all. I emailed them to fix it or refund me the money and they refuse to do both instead sending me botted email replies assuring me it’ll eventually get fixed. Every day I can’t use the membership I’m losing money, what are these people actually doing man.

For a paid app, there are many bugs that pop up often. It also claims to be 80% accurate, and I know ai won’t be very accurate, but it often marks a small amount of food as an unrealistic amount of calories.

Signed up for the 3 day free trial, cancelled 1 day before the period ended, communicated with support after they charged me for a year subscription and refused to refund. Had to contact Apple to resolve the issue. Beware.

Double Charge and Won’t Fix it!
This app charged me twice for the account. I have emailed multiple times and am told that my request is being sent to the billing department. After that nothing happens. This is going on 2 months of trying to get this fixed. App works fine, but they rip you off and then won’t fix it
Good app, terrible Customer Service
Purchased an annual subscription through an in app offer that was fulfilled by link. After about a month my subscription stopped working, then emailed support to get it resolved. Was constantly emailing support, they kept promising me someone higher up would contact me, no one ever did. Would email support again in the same email thread (talking to the same support person) and they would always ask me for my account username again even though I gave them all the info they needed to find and fix my account days before. Again, this pattern went on for weeks until I realized support was just giving me the runaround, so finally had to get my bank involved to dispute the subscription charge since I was not receiving what I paid for. After two weeks of asking for a refund within a day of getting my bank involved they issued me one. Thats how you do it folks!

Faulty payment issues- horrible customer support
I purchased the annual subscription back In March and a month later, it now asking me to purchase the subscription again. After sending a email, I am not receiving support to get the issue fixed for me to log back in and being told I cannot be refunded, this is fraudulent business practices, I have sent many emails and no support and help.

Secondly, after 30 days it wiped my info out and told me I had to start a free trial or pay the $30 again even though I provided proof that it had been paid. I recieved one response from support and then they ceased all contact.
Avoid this app at all costs !

App crashes
App just crashes and can not be opened at all after a few weeks of use. I wrote customer service twice and they did not help and would not give me a refund. Pretty inacurate as well. I ate the same thing, same amount two days in a row and the calorie estimation by photo was completly different.

They won’t give me a refund
I paid for a subscription for a whole year and then after a month of usage, they won’t let me track anything because supposedly I have to pay again. I press restore purchase and they can’t recognize my subscription. Emailed them and a person name MADINA from the cal team keeps telling me that her billing team will work on getting me a refund. And it’s been 2 weeks since then. They haven’t done a thing. It’s AI , how hard is it to get me a refund or help me with my subscription??
