I’ve been playing for years, and the top players spend literally thousands on this game. If you don’t spend you can’t win nor enjoy the game. It’s a very competitive and stressful game. It’s constantly being updated and the app has way too many glitches and bugs. Customer service is non existent. They give you the run around and never solve anything. Graphics are amazing. Honestly it’s a game for people who have money to waste and make the developers filthy rich. You would think the players were actually winning something for the amount of money and time they invest in the game. There is plenty of cheating, which they try to control. It also festers so much hatred between players. It seemed fun in the beginning, it’s just not anymore. The ratings are not accurate! They not accurately factoring in all the negative reviews! It’s also true, if you don’t spend money, they somehow shadow ban your account functions in the game cease to work!

I played this game from May 2022 to October 2024. They deleted my account today for “cheating” apparently. That crushed me. I’m autistic and this was my favorite game; my favorite way to relax after a hard day. I spent hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars on it and played it constantly. I can’t believe it. I’d love to know what “proof” you have because I have never cheated on this game. I literally want to throw up. My heart hurts… it’s not right. Please reinstate @Tiahkeah
Developers ruined this game
I used to be obsessed with this game. It was the most fun F2P game I had ever played. But the developers ruined it when they introduced heroes that basically make you kill yourself. It’s nearly impossible to beat the teams with the multitudes of heroes with this “reflect” damage ability and they pretty much only release them to P2P players… so it’s just not fun anymore. So sad, I really loved this game.
They steal your money
I spend 100s a month on this game and I just spent $10 USD on ruby and rose soul stone and it's gone. I will call my bank and say these transactions are frauds. I'm so upset at this game I'll let fb and discord too. They are money scammers, and I’ve already given them $350 USD

Be aware!!
I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game, but I worked up to level 40 in two separate events in hopes to gain a high-level character. Making purchases as well. I did not receive two characters now from reaching level 40 in special events in this game. The company does not honor your responses and will not refund your money for errors.
Update issue
I play this game regularly but today it just updating for hours and says network disconnected. Same thing happened few months before and I couldn’t play the game for 4 days straight. It’s upsetting that being a regular player I’m unable to play the game.

Like yourself, I have spent hours surfing through games and looking at reviews, hoping to find a halfway decent mobile game. About 1.5yr ago I thought I had found one with CoA, I knew it was a p2w, but it seemed like it was playable without $$$. At first it was, but after changing developers to Funplus (what a joke) it rapidly became pay to play. Over the past year each update has just been new cash grab systems, new overpowered heroes every 2 weeks, and the player base is ignored. New content is promised, but has not happened in months or really in the last year. Bugs are rampant, and any ticket to support is ignored with a dismissive “the problem is on your end” message.
5 star heroes are a requirement to play competitively, and each one will cost you an average of $170 US. But to get a specific hero, from the banner, you will often spend upwards of $250 because you are not guaranteed that hero. Then you must get 5 copies to fully “awaken” it, which is also a must for top game play. So often you will spend $1000+ just to get full access to the hero’s abilities. Then you need to talent the hero, a process that will likely cost you another $500 to do it fully. So for top whales, you are spending $1500+ per 2 weeks just for the new hero, not to mention weapons, events, and other things. For players who want to be competitive but not full whale, you will still need to spend around $300 a week, or $700 every 2 weeks, and you definitely wont compete with the big boys. If you are familiar with or even enjoy pay to win or pay to play games, this should give you a rough idea if this is worth it to you, but for 99% of people i would strongly advise not playing games that require you to pay. I have regretted almost every dollar I spent, and I spent more than a few. We all know these companies use wildly predatory tactics to make you spend more than you want to.
The community at the top is solid, I have had the privilege of playing with and against some of the nicest and smartest people in the world. But we are all victims of this awful company and their once fun, now terrible game.
The moderators have mostly quit discord, the top players have mostly quit the game, new players are not sent to old worlds, and newer worlds cannot face old worlds in the wars. So we face the same alliances over and over, and every week more people quit the game, so there are fewer familiar faces at the table. I have joined new worlds to see what they are doing, and the cash grab is even worse, the events are the same but worse.
This is a shell of the game it was a year ago, and I cannot imagine it will continue much longer. A lot of top players who have not quit are waiting for a new alliance mode that was promised months ago and still sits in “coming soon” mode. But many are tired of waiting and have walked away. I have only continued playing because of the great people who I am privileged to fight with, and because we put so much time and energy into getting to where we are. For you my friend, I would strongly advise you to just set your money on fire, instead of downloading this dumpster fire of a game.

Nice game with potential but need $$$$$ to be competitive
Don’t waste your time or money
This game is very beautiful and fun at low levels, but as you progress it becomes oppressive. To get the resources you need to keep playing at a high level you have to dish out A LOT of money. There are also game mechanics that are completely broken. And whales that spend $1,000s of dollars are allowed to just crush everyone else to get the best rewards so you can’t ever really progress.
This game has so much potential but the first priority of the devs is to squeeze money out of its player base, not to make a really enjoyable game experience.
Side note: I read a bunch of those 5 star reviews. Pretty sure those are not real people as they all read like an advertisement and not words real people use. Don’t believe me? Check out the game’s discord. There is almost no positive community feedback and the devs don’t respond to any feedback.

Mobile games have always been about making money off players but this one doesn’t even try to hide it anymore. Everything they add to the game is so blatantly pay yo win it’s disgusting

Ok gameplay and graphics, very typical match 3 game with heroes that you level up. Horrible developer though. Constant bugs and sneaky updates that take things away and replace them with stuff you have to pay for. Extremely unfriendly for Free 2 Play players. This game is designed to make you spend… period… it is 1000% Pay 2 Win! Horrible odds on getting things you want even when you do spend. There is also ZERO game balance. Every new hero/feature that comes out is ridiculously overpowered and makes all old heroes and content obsolete. So if you aren’t spending to have the latest and greatest heroes/content… be prepared to lose… a lot. Developers have no clue how to design a game properly and maintain it with balanced updates. They don’t listen to the community either regarding badly needed core game updates and quality of life improvements. They care about getting your money, nothing else! Don’t even bother trying to contact support for anything. It’s non-existent. Overall, best to simply avoid this game. If you start playing, I guarantee you will end up regretting it in the long run.

Since the update I have to keep deleting and reinstalling the game. Not sure I want to keep it after the trouble of just trying to login.

The hero draw system is rigged. You’re supposed to have higher chance of getting the banner hero but I haven’t pulled a banner hero in four months. I keep pulling duplicates. Not randomized at all. Just a scam to get money.

The game should be called Call of Bugs. Although the game has great graphics and a fun mechanic, it literally has bugs every time they release an update. Every single time. If you don’t mind bugs disrupting your ability to play regularly then it’s a great game, but if you get annoyed by stupid errors that make you wait, find a different game. The graphics are great, though there seems to be an increasing number of sexualized female characters that do not have an appearance that matches their story. The game itself is very fun and addictive, pay walls will make free to play players get frustrated after they start getting good 4 star heroes. Getting 5 star heroes and awakening them either takes a huge amount of time, or you pay.
WILL QUICKLY COST THOUSANDS. TOXIC COMMUNITY.

On top of that, the community has become really toxic.
I would never allow a young person/child to try this game. It could easily end up costing an unaware parent tens of thousands of dollars.
If you’re rich and want to willfully burn your cash over a flaming pit of nothing, then go for it.
Everyone else; avoid this at all costs.

I have been playing for a year and lead one of them to 10 alliances in this game. This is a much more blatant cadh-grab than most of the games in the business model. You get the most anemic trickle of progression for free, but if you want to compete at all, you are forced to spend, and spend HUGE.
Players are dropping thousands every two weeks for new overpowered heroes that are only available for a limited time and then disappear for months until the developers decide to make them available for a short amount of time again. Oh and of course the drop rates are rigged, forcing you to wade through hundreds and hundreds of dollars to get the hero, let alone their subsequent 5 awakenings.
If you have $100,000 off completely disposable income, you will be ready to compete here. If you want to test your skill without spending anything, dismiss the PvP portion of this game completely. At that point, you are left with the campaign, which will take you longer to complete than this game has left before it is pulled by the developers so that they can focus on more profitable ventures. Any and all feedback from the community is completely ignored by the development team, who respond by releasing more options for spending money through buggy updates.
Players are quitting more than joining as of the date of this review. Do yourself a favor and stay away!

Don’t recommend playing
the art and the graphics are good, they will make you addict into this game for the first several days or maybe a week. However, it has too many drawbacks. 1) low 5 star drop rate &unbalance: good heroes are too hard to get & big difference between OP heroes and normal heroes. 2)P2W: you easily get stuck on chapter, on hero ascension as well. hard to progress besides spend real money. 3) time-consuming: can’t skip battles and auto is not ideal for challenging dungeons. 4)trash rewards: all the free rewards are TRASH, takes a while to complete daily tasks but final rewards are so useless because everything in the market (shop) are so costly to exchange.
I spent a few hundred bucks in the first 3 or 4 days then I stopped, I’m just logging in for 30 mins everyday to clear some quests but the rewards are very demotivated. Nothing to do when you are stuck. Sometimes, I even wonder why’d I waste that 30mins in my life lol.
In sum, don’t recommend to download this game. Don’t waste your time

Devastated
I came back to the game after an extended break, and was offered a new server or the same server. There was No Warning that my previous game would be deleted. I had spent real money on this game over the years, and expected to see all my characters and progress on a different server with different players. Instead, it started a whole new game from nothing- it put me in a tutorial for gods sake. I’m absolutely torn right now, I feel like I was completely blindsided. Obviously I’m not going to play the game from the beginning, I’ll have to delete the app and move on.
Fun game, very addictive and very expensive.
The game is fun and beautiful to play, and has new updates every 2 weeks introducing new heroes. That may sound great, but in practice in costs a player well over $1000 to obtain the latest hero with all their awakening skills. Then you’ll need a weapon, well actually 5 for a team, that’s going to cost another $500. Then you’ll need energy just to play levels, a battle pass, talents skill points, dragon master points, runes and many other things that all cost money. Oh also just about everything is RNG meaning you will have many instances of just getting junk items for 1 good item.
You could easily spend $10,000 usd in game and would still only be mediocre in strength. If wasting that amount of cash on a mobile game sounds appealing, then this is your game! Just don’t expect seemless updates, since every single update released over the last year has had some bug issue that needs immediate attention.
Lastly, they devs of the game will present events such as the 1 year anniversary event, where the “gifts” are only available for a price. This game is really only fun for those with large amounts of disposable income.

Normally there is a balance where either summoning characters is gated and energy is cheap allowing players to play while not getting the characters, OR strict energy requiring paying for playtime while having easy access to characters.
This game has the worst of both. Add to this a heavily monetized rune system, which further impedes progress unless significant money is spent.
I could understand the shop prices across the board if every other aspect of the game wasn’t grossly pay to play.
Overall, the entire game was designed around extracting money from the playerbase, and while the UI is one of the best, it doesnt warrant the predatory practices this game employs.

After spending quite a bit of time trying to get used to this game I can honestly say I have no idea what the heck they are trying to do with it. The mechanics of the game appear to be several different popular game types smashed into one with a heavy Pay to win focus. You have part puzzle match, then you have a “city builder” that has no place, and of course the age old Gacha system for heroes. The combat mechanics are extremely janky and do not lend toward a natural experience. Having played many of these types of games I can say there are much better ones out there. Don’t let the misleading ads fool you.

Your ads are reason I didn’t download this game they stink. Stopped playing it is boring and not once in all 14 games did I receive any 5 star hero’s according to game it guaranteed you would get at least 1 every 10 summons that is complete lie got only 1 out of 14 only 4 received 1 that is after 100 of summons in each of 14 games it doesn’t provide any of items to up grade your heroes so unless you are a millionaire it is impossible to even upgrade your heroes. Also you still heroes because I know which heroes I had and when I stopped playing to go to sleep when I played game next day several of my good heroes were just gone this happened regularly and they refuse to fix said I had to buy more summons . So they still the good heroes while you sleep trying to force you to buy them back no thanks supposed to be a free game

This game just seems to be getting worse and worse not any better specially when it comes to the PVP when the healers kill all five of your characters because the puzzles are stacked against you that’s how you know that this is a very unfair game the creators are all about making their money this game is pay to win definitely not have fun I can’t believe that their target audience according to their game says 12 and above if my 12 year old asked me for the amount of money these developers ask for I would tell my 12 year old I don’t think so… and I’m not a new player I have been playing this ridiculous game for a few months my alliance is down to two players only can’t get anyone to join your alliance you pay 1500 gems to create an alliance and you get nowhere in it so basically I paid 1500 gems for divination yes they have a new intruder but again no one gets anywhere this game is stacked against you the puzzles are stacked against you if in PVP you get knocked out before you get one play that’s how you know that the Computer is set against you it’s all about matching Nita stones but if the PVP computer player is getting more Naya stones to match than you are and it’s just because the creators are trying to bully people into paying to upgrade their characters to beat those other characters… and like I said two healers beat all five of my characters it’s five on five I beat three had two healers to beat and the healers beat me sad this game is so very very sad and I would never recommend this game to anyone because of the unfairness can you believe some of their supposed packages are 99.99 LOL whatever and there are players that actually pay for that lol not me I don’t mind investing in developers but only those that are really for the players and not just for the money players!!!

I've been playing this game for well over a year, I've put money into it here and there, but unless you are willing to pay hundreds of dollars a month, you will be beaten by other players who are willing to spend. Not very fair matching of power levels or skill and technique. There are people on here who have been playing a lot less time but put in ridiculous amounts of money and are well for Advanced. Daily player here, do all the daily tasks and earn as much as I can without having to pay too much money, leaves you in the dark and well behind the others. It's a great game as long as you're willing to pay quite a bit
No customer support
The game is good. It does a poor job of explaining how to level up heroes beyond their supposed max levels. Like what is ascension. Don’t have to spent a lot of money and you can get free items for watching ads. However I’ve lost many items that I purchased in the game using my tokens and they never seem to appear or after a period disappears. I’ve also reached out to support about a purchase issue and no one ever got back to me. Since then so never spend money and would recommend the same.
Leveling past L180 is not fun
I liked this game a bit until my heroes hit level 180. Even though I expected more grinding to level up past 180, I didn’t expect it to be almost impossible without it being a cash grab in the store for level 6 chests. I found this disappointing and now the game is just monotonous.
Pay 2 Win
The game is good at low and mid point. But it is heavily pay to win and not much to do once you finish the campaign. The events repeat and always target the bi-weekly new characters. There are better gacha games. Stay away from this one.
Fix your ads
I get why apps need ads but you need to fix some of them. Some ads says “rewards granted” but when you hit the “x” button, it then says “viewing time too short”.
And it forces you to watch another video to get that reward even though it specifically said “rewards granted”

Pretty But Expensive P2W
This game is a great idea and it's very pretty, but it's a pay to win, and an expensive one. I finished the main storyline and am uninstalling as of today. F2P is just not going to get anywhere in this game, and if you want to actually make any progress or participate in arena or social play, be prepared to drop a significant amount of cash. There is no new innovation, and has not been for some time, and each new summons or event is nothing more than a naked cash grab. I really liked this game for a while, but it's just too pricey for what you get.
Honest review
At the beginning game is all fun and easy but after playing for a month you’ll have to spend real money to progress fast otherwise you’ll be stuck at the same lvl farming for weeks. Rewards are mediocre, Good summoning rate is very low and it takes a lot of time before you can gather crystal to summon again.

Why is it you can only fight players with more power than you…you can’t win because everyone else is more powerful than you….and the same opponents show up every time you choose another opponent…if this doesn’t change…I will definitely delete this game and tell everyone else to stop playing it
Another generic match 3 battler
It’s really sad, the marketing videos showed a game with a variety of ways to use match 3 in gameplay. But alas another pretty but hollow gatcha match 3, something we didn’t need.
Developers are lying
So I start to play the game since I saw and I hated it so far. First I was forced to do chapter one and believe me if I hate a game because of forcing it’s a chance I’ll uninstall. Next I finally can play without being forced so I go to enter in the code that the ads say. It gives me rewards a level like 100 player should we using instead of the prizes for new people (and doesn’t even give me to correct rewards it says it does in the ads) Then they say that they give ahoo or whatever the name is after 7 days but it doesn’t like what the heck!? So I’m gonna struggle with useless items and bad hero’s for the whole time I start the game Plus the rare summons are so overpriced for new people. It’s like I have to struggle for days or weeks even just to get good and I’m annoyed about that.
Fun but slow if you don’t pay
The game is a lot of fun. The matching aspects of battle, collecting hero’s and putting together a team and all the things to do. It does get difficult to progress if you don’t spend money. A lot of the recent changes have made it so free to play or limited spending progression is impossible.
WASTE of money
Once you reach a certain campaign, you have to spend money to progress in the game.
This game is addicting, but be prepared to spend mega bucks to pass higher campaigns/levels (spent almost $500 just to get to campaign 18).
And this is the WORST part… after you have succeeded to reach your profile level you only get rewarded half the energy you spent on defeating a campaign (i.e. after you have reached a certain profile level you only get half the the maximum capacity of energy…total energy capacity max is 120, but after reached a certain level you only get rewarded 60 energy points).
SO ALL IN ALL YOU WILL DEFINITELY SPEND MAJOR BUCKS TO GET TO HIGHER CAMPAIGNS/LEVELS.
