Another attempted theft?
Terrible. Awful. The product that I paid for, I can no longer access. Doom on the developers whom instead of creating a different app that they could charge for at will, replaced the fully functional app that many of us paid for. This is extortion. SaaS is a failure. Write good software and charge a fair price for a license to use it. Beyond that, I do not have a relationship with you and I do not want a relationship with you. One thing is for sure. No one should continue a relationship with you. So long CamCard. You will not be missed.
Uses live activities to show ads
Leaving a review because this app had the audacity to put a live activity on my lock screen and show me an ad for their premium features. Absolutely not.
Bad card now
I had this CamCard since it came out. It was great over the past few years. It has become terrible and when I downloaded the new app, it was too difficult to use. Also, I do not want to pay a yearly fee. I have to find another business card holder.

What happened to this app?
I used to love this app. I’m not a heavy user, but for my purposes it was perfect. Now it is all Ai and expensive. If you switch off Ai then the results are laughable. It was never this bad. I truly believe they have made the free option so bad you are forced to subscribe. Not me, I’m off.

Bad App- Bad Customer Service
The app can’t seem to distinguish between first and last name. Both get put into the last name field. When I reported the issue, I was told the “feature” isn’t supported right now but they’ll consider it seriously. I’m sure there are better apps out there.

Had to wait ten times as long as I could just type the data in and had to correct something on both cards I loaded.

Downloaded this app and was presented immediately with a brief trial followed by an automatic $49 membership unless I remember to opt out. Hard pass.

I am at our annual trade show and this used to be my go to App. Then I had to do a rebuy a few years ago, now it is an annual fee and each year it keeps getting worse, my guess is so they can force you to buy AI credits. I no longer trust this company at all. The first few cards I entered tonight were laughable. I guess I am going back to what I did 20 years ago, typing them into a database manually as the first few cards would take 20 minutes to redo on the phone. This level of forced channeling should be criminalized.

They made changes to the app that rendered all the stored cards unreadable.

I tried this five years ago and it was not good so I reread it and it was just as bad. If you trust this and it gets one digit of an email or phone number wrong you’re in big business trouble. I’ve tried others and none well. Just enter your stuff manually or pay someone to do it.

Every card was wrong
I downloaded CamCard app and signed up for a free 3-day trial followed by $50 annually. I have about 100 business cards I need to record and sync with my Apple IOS contacts. I took photos of 5 business cards as a start. CamCard made serious mistakes on all 5 of them. I ended up spending a few minutes editing each card, which is not a significant time saver over typing the day myself to my Apple contacts app. I deleted the app after using it for 20 minutes. This is a long way from being a timesaver.
Cannot Exports Cards scanned to PDFs or any image
I have more than 1,000 cards scanned on this app. While it is ok, there are still errors. So the exports to excels is not accurate.
I also need to do manual editing frequently.

Another app ruined by subscriptions
Been using this app for years, but it’s been ruined by the incessant requests to pay more money for pro. Interestingly the text recognition hasn’t improved at all over the last 3-5 years.
Card Information
I genuinely don’t like the way the technology has to be linked to your apple card. When using this for company purposes, you don’t get the option so charging this to the company card. I don’t think it’s appropriate to have to connect your company card to your account to do this. It has charged my personal account and I’m not happy with this.

I purchased this morning. I tried this app for one hour. It did not work for me. Too many corrections, it is quicker for me simply to type the information directly from the card.
I canceled my subscription after one hour, but, there is no mechanism to get back the money that you have paid. I have now paid for a full year for something that I am not using.

Won’t let you email thru app
Scan a card sure but then try to send an email by touching the scanned address, Good Luck with that!

Nonfunctional, misleading
Awful app, barely usable. Convolutes the cancellation process with support tickets even though it’s managed by Apple. Then once they charge your card they say take it up with Apple. There is an easy solution that doesn’t scam your customers on the first payment. Hyperlink Apple subs or show a dialog with this info instead of waiting for a support ticket response. It makes me wonder if that little delay is just enough to squeeze the 24 hour window for cancellation and charge cards at least once. Download any of the other thousand biz card apps that don’t do this.
Total Ripoff!
I scanned a card at a conference and 3 days later I was charged $49.99 for a subscription. They allow you to cancel the subscription on the iPhone but they don’t refund your money. Stay away from these SHARKS!

I hate it now
Don’t get me wrong as an app developer. I truly like to support app developers but I’ve been using this app for years now and as soon as I downloaded it on my iPhone and andriod, I got drastic limitations as to where I cannot even any longer scan business cards without buying a monthly membership or yearly membership. I've bought this app twice before I will not be buying it again. So I guess I’ll just be taking photos of business cards and saving them in my photo files.

I bought this App years ago as the free version. I loved it so much that I bought the paid version, which allowed me to add many more cards!
Then recently, I tried to add a new card and when I tried to save it, the App wouldn't let me unless I bought one of the subscriptions!! I don't need the features of the subscriptions... I just want to scan and save the cards into the App on my phone.

Couldn’t edit business card category mistakes
It could be that I just didn’t know what I was doing, but the business card scanner scanned the text excellently, but it made mistakes in assigning what categories they should be assigned to.
This shouldn’t be a problem to fix, I thought, and so when it showed the initial assignments, I thought I could just edit them. Lo, although it showed the hover “insert” cursor over the text input fields, I couldn’t actually click in the letters to edit them.
Odd, I think. Maybe I need to restart my phone or maybe there’s an incompatibility with the latest iOS revision, or …?

Cannot pull up keyboard
I just bought and there is no way to pull up a keyboard/access keyboard to edit the info for my own card in the app. It could t capture the correct info on my card. I can’t send this issue to them because… no keyboard
Jibberish
When I input biz card info it writes it in jibberish. Unrecognizable characters so this app is unusable.
Unpleasant surprise
I’ve been using this app for years. It has been extremely useful. But all of a sudden I’m not allowed to add more entries unless I pay because I have more than 100 cards loaded. I actually have 167 and never had an issue. Those were not the rules when I signed up.
Good App but VERY HARD to cancel subscription
I bought this when business cards rule, but now everything is digital. The few business cards I receive now are easy to enter. I’ve tried to cancel my subscription, but there is no cancel option in iCloud or elsewhere. Evil!
Not very good
Had to edit almost every card I ordered. OCR constantly mistook t for i. Really struggled with colored cards. Unless you only want to scan basic white business cards, don’t bother. Asking for my money back!

The scanner fails to accurately scan my cards almost 100% of the time. “Ain’t nobody got time for that”! Waste of money and time I’ll never get back.
Not syncing to Mac outlook 365
The app stoped syncing to mac outlook 365 some time back. Despite paying for the app, it is impossible to get help or speak to someone.
My recommendation is to look for a better app, since even the OCR text recognition always requires manual corrections.

What a waste of my time downloading and installing this app. Everyone on the Internet recommends it and it seems to have a very high rating. But this is why I give it a one star.
