Non transparent ,overpriced
I booked a space for my car and caravan through this app and the experience was very disappointing. First they charge me an abusive commission without informing me at any point during the booking process.On top of that,the app forced me to reserve a much larger space than I actually needed claiming there was no availability.when I arrived there was plenty of space available suitable for my vehicle which show that the information provided by the app was not accurate.I ended up paying 300 for 3 days when booked directly it would be 200 dollars .In short non-transparent ,overpriced and unreliable service .I recommends book directly with the sites to avoid unpleasant surprises

Convoluted sign in/up process. Was planning for a paid subscription. Circuitous sign up not something that I want to pay for.

Useless and pointless
The app does the exact same thing Google Maps does when you search for campgrounds. It doesn’t allow you to select dates or filter by length. There’s no point to this app, it does what Google Maps does but expects you to pay for it.
To many advertisers
So many adds pop up you give up your search!!
Meh…..
This app is honestly just ok…. An app that I prefer is RV-PARK-FREE. Better UI, works well.

What upgrade?
I just plunked down the money for the Pro upgrade and nothing! I was looking for the federal lands overlay and it’s telling me I can have it if I upgrade…which I just did. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still nothing. I think my toy is broken.

Disappointed in Pricing Changes
I have been using Roadtrippers & Campendium since before they charged. I have used them on multiple cross country adventures and boasted about them to all I could tell. Now, I just can’t afford to keep up with their pricing changes. So disappointing.
Sells email addresses
I have my own domain and use the business name as the email address so I can track what companies sell their mailing lists. Today I got email from Roadtrippers addressed to campendium@... Sleazy...
Beware sharing your credit card info with Campendium
Beware giving Campendium your payment details. They are immoral operators. Campendium automatically set your membership to auto renewal. Unlike most vendors that ethically will send you a reminder that a fee is due and will be deducted, Campendium will send you no information. No email, no pushed notification,…, nothing. They’ll simply deduct the fee. When I emailed them to ask about it they simply stated that the terms and conditions state that the auto renewal is the default and that they cannot refund the fee unless the request occurs before the renewal date. End of story… This may be because they’re now with Roadtrippers and all they care about is money. I’d recommend using another App that has ethical management.

Not terribly happy with the app. It’s not real useful, has limited or incorrect information on the campsites, some are not listed at all. Got the Roadtripper pro upgrade and it was not easy to use, kept having to log in multiple times, not sure why they don’t just have one app, but to make things unnecessarily complicated, they charge you through roadtripper and then you have to try to associate that with your Campendium account. Hassle and not fun to use. Then they charged me $60 for a year of service without any warning. And they won’t refund it just a day after it was charged. Crooks selling a subpar product. I do not recommend
Worst ad overload
I couldn’t check out the free version because it is interrupted continuously with ads. Really, why should I pay for an upgrade if the free one literally has 3-10 seconds between ads. I’ve never seen anything this bad. I’m removing the app.
Unable to login
After getting the run around trying to log into the roadpass…saying there is no account with by that email, but when I go to create a new one, says there is an account under that email…then not being able to change my password until I get redirected a million times back and forth between safari and the app…then when I FINALLY get a new password and then verify my account, I STILL can’t log in. Just says that I am unable to log in at this time. You can’t even use the app…it is useless.

As full timers and paying Pro subscribers to Campendium, we have used and trusted Campendium since 2020 and rely on it to ensure our stays will meet our needs and approval. We are very worried about the move to RoadTrippers, an app that is bloated, confusing, and nearly unusable. And no, we are not some 90 year old retirees who don’t know their bits from their bytes; we are digital natives, one of whom is a technology consultant.
Please, Campendium, don’t abandon the standalone app!!!

Not working with road pass
After opening , ask to login with road pass then says an error occurred, I know username and password is ok, seems like it is want the username and password to Campendium but nowhere to sign up for that, tried uninstalling and nothing. Since you can not go anyf farther then the road pass information the whole program is worthless
WAS a decent app. Not anymore.
I started using this app 2-3 years ago. I felt as an avid camper it would be helpful for me to give back to the community by reviewing campsites we visited. I opened the app today to look up a campground and instantly got an annoying pop up asking me to “upgrade to pro”. Nope, I’m done and you can have your app. Not paying for this app. ESPECIALLY at 59.99 a year ! Are you kidding me ?

it’s for rv people
Will it find the most popular camp / Glamp sites? probably, I have found it knows nothing about free secluded sites in Wyoming, Idaho or Oregon. places to crash off a highway? yup. but you can find these sites very easily with the FREE HIGHWAY SIGNS THAT SAY CAMPGROUNDS THIS WAY! If you’re like me and wish to escape the noise and crowds then you’re better off using government blm sites, talk to the locals, and maps.
