What Happened to the Best RV Source
This used to be our go to for trip planning. Now, it is just not a good source at all. Your ability to search free over nights are gone! When you search an area and then come to the same search another time it is not the same. So disappointed.
App freezes
You cannot tap on the address anymore to link to any map anymore. This use to be really nice to use. Hopefully it gets improved.

I’ve used Campendium for years and it was phenomenal. After this latest update, it is basically useless.

Disappointed
Been a member since 2020. This was My go to app and I loved it. Since the upgrade, I am thinking on deleting this app. I hope you fix this.
Poor navigation
The new and revised app is very hard to navigate. I hope this will be corrected. In the past We relied heavily on Campedium when we travel. At this point I have to find another app.
Terrible Update
I use to love this app. It clearly is all about the money now and making it so difficult to use that you upgrade and pay for features that use to be free. Now you have to upgrade to even use maps to navigate to the spots. It’s a real shame because I would use Campendium more than any other apps, even though there aren’t as many updated comments on sites. It use to be so easy to use.
Who ever changed the app did a terrible job. It is way harder to navigate and it doesn’t show you all the options like it use to. Everything needs to be filtered to appear on the map, and that’s if it gives you the filter option (which now has disappeared….) I will no longer be using or recommending. I guess I will switch to I overlander. Way to lose your customers.

New up ruined it
The new update ruined this app. You can’t set a filter for free campsites, you can’t open it in Apple Maps and you can’t sort only dump stations.
Campendium ruined the app
This went from the best app to the worse app. If you don’t pay them it’s useless now.
Bring back the old Campendium!!
The new display is not my favorite, and I really preferred Campendium before the most recent update.
One of the biggest issues is that I can no longer open a camping location directly in Apple Maps. Now I have to take a screenshot, copy the coordinates, and manually enter them into the map, which is much less convenient.
Before this update, I had no problem paying for the app and genuinely enjoyed the paid subscription. Unfortunately, with these changes, I will be deleting what was once my favorite app for finding great campgrounds.
Please consider giving users the option to switch back to the older display. If that option becomes available, I would gladly return.

A great site till they upgraded it!
Wow, what a step backward! Used to be an amazing resource for campers, but no longer.
It was a great resource because it was so simple and easy to use and could take your current location and tell you exactly which campgrounds were within a certain radius. You also got reviews and photos. Now it's simply an advertising platform. You will not get the complete list whatsoever.
And all my reviews are gone and it's like starting from scratch.
We'll have to find a different platform now. 🙁

I hate the new update
I just started planning for this years summer trip. I’ve always used Campendium in the past. HOWEVER I ran into the new “upgrade”. It’ horrible!!!! Nothing connects! Nothing loads properly!!!! I will use either AllStays or Dyrt from now on - who needs this frustration!
Recent Changes
Campendium was my go to to find campgrounds in the areas that I was traveling to. However, recent changes have made the app basically useless. I can no longer use the app to use my gps app to route me to the campground and recent changes removed basic information on the campground that I used to determine the best campground that I was traveling to. Campendium, if you are listening to your former owners, please go back to your prior features.
Don’t like the current app changes
I do not like the new Compendium format. There is no website access to the campgrounds you’re looking for which in turn doesn’t give any campgrounds maps to look at sites. And these two features and your8 star review might possibly go up.
Use to be….
Had the app for several years……up until very recently was awesome. Concise, accurate, flexible yet provided high granularity. Since the recent acquisition with Roadtrippers, my PAID subscription (to August 26) no longer works…They changed the app and try to leverage you into another paid subscription for 2x the Old Campendium…..Search “Campendium issues”……Sad to see this one die….It was a great app.

Has changed for the worst
I have you been using this app for over five years and have loved it now it is turned into a disaster. I do not recommend anymore. It will probably never go back to being good.
Used to be the go to camping app. Now I’m deleting it fully.
The last update completely ruined the app. Now they want you to pay to make the app usable. Sad to see this app go because I really liked it.

This was such a great app! I was even ready to pay for it again but with their fancy new platform you can’t log in. You can’t reset your password and you can’t reach anyone. I was a long time user of many years and also a subscriber. No more.

You guys really butchered this app with the most recent update. Almost unusable now. Won’t be renewing my paid membership this year. What a shame. This has been my go to app for the last year on the road.

I’ve been struggling to access premium campendium using my Roadtrippers login. Says I’m on free version. Reached out twice and have gotten no support.

I used to love this app to find camp spots. I was also just talking to my husband about how it would be nice if there was an app that gave you RV friendly routes with RV friendly gas stations. We are trying out the free trial currently and aren’t impressed with the fact you can’t find stops along the way while you’re in navigation. I also really dislike that they got rid of the filter on the map. It’s nice being able to change between dispersed camping, paid camping and dump stations, etc. I really dislike the new changes. They are not user friendly at all.

I have used it for many many camping trips and while sites can be a gamble at times, it has been an incredible app for finding dispersed spots. Unfortunately, the newer updates have really changed things and I now have struggled to find good sites, lost all my saved spots, and it makes it impossible to map to sites through the free option on the app. Feeling sad and frustrated because this really was my go-to for years!
Very unfortunate new version
As a full-time RVer, this app was my go-to for years. The recent update has completely gutted my traveling process. Everything I liked about this app is gone. The preview display when clicking on a site used to display a preview photo, most recent price and rating. It’s all gone, now you just have countless anonymous icons on the map and you have to pull up the full page for every one of them one at a time. You also can no longer copy coordinates to your maps program like you can with every other app on the planet.
These changes reek of decisions made by someone who has never relied on the app before. They also reek of greed. Campendium has always been a reliable free resource with valuable premium paid features. It is no longer a reliable free resource and I imagine many other apps will see an influx of traffic due to these new changes.
After recommending this app countless times, I will no longer be advising anyone to use this until the original spirit of the app is restored.

Changes suck!
We are doing a five month 15 national Park trip this summer. When I started planning back in November January and February compendium was great. Just about the time we hit the road. They did all Now it is so hard to use! Right in the middle of looking something up it will just disappear. It is so much harder to read the reviews and find exactly what you’re looking for. It was such a great app. why did they have to change it so completely. Now it sucks.
App has changed
The recent update to Campendium leaves me wondering what were they thinking. I have noticed that some campgrounds we have stayed out no longer show up or you need to know of the campground to be able to find it in the app. They have also changed how you get directions to these campgrounds. Now you have a 14 day free trial but after that you have to pay for navigation. This updated app is definitely a step back and maybe I’ll start looking at different ways to find a campground.

New App Stinks
New app is not nearly as good as the old one. I understand paying for premium features but at least allow Apple Maps to navigate to destinations or at the very least copy paste coordinated. I’ve used this app for years and it has went down hill.
Change doesn’t mean better
I really liked the old app. Easy to read, uncomplicated, straightforward. Why does everyone think making things complicated is better. You now have to scroll sideways to get information. You have what look like icons that do nothing. You now have to pay for a link to google map. The map has changed and has less information on it. Were people unhappy with the app? If not why wreck a good thing?
Changed the entire app. Horrible!
I used this app and recommended to everyone. Today they changed the whole app into garbage. No longer does what it did before. Fail!
