Invasive AI
I had and liked this app for many years, despite a few bugs. I never updated it. Today I did, to see if it would fix a bug that was annoying me. As soon as I had scanned my first document in the updated app, the AI tool also scanned the document. I did not give permission for the AI tool to take my personal info, nor is there any way to opt out. I deleted the app immediately. I'll find another app that will probably be lower quality but will at least respect my privacy.
Payment walls
Used to be a good app, now everything is a pay to use feature.

Worked great the first day, try again the next, camera is off, my camera itself is fine, just the software is having an issue

Apparently they recently updated and they will no longer let you export ANYTHING as a PDF without charging you $60-$70 a year!! I have been this app for years and this is ridiculous.

Poor customer service
Rarely need this app so can’t justify the cost. The trial was super short and said an email would be sent before the trial ended. Didn’t happen and I cancelled a day late & was charged. Reached out to customer service and have yet to hear back. If you only need a once in a while scan, look elsewhere
Auto-renew for $60 annually and never was notified out of app
Is this scanner that worth it to paid $60 annually ? I think not. Never received an email notification before free trial ended and auto charged for $60. Honestly, it is best to find another app. There are many alternatives that are way cheaper. Not worth it.

Not free anymore
It used to be free with a watermark. Not anymore. $59 per year.
It removes handwriting/ notes on lined paper, but other than that it’s pretty good.
I am not sure where the files are stored, which does use storage on my phone when I’m going to share it anyway, but it’s a good app.

No tech support
I have had this app for years and have written several positive reviews. They removed features. I reached out to tech support and they sent a canned message back and I have not heard back since February. I pay for premium and am so frustrated. I use this app in the field and cannot do my job without. I guess I will sit around and wait to see if they get back to me in a few months…..

It’s monetized and sharing documents is too complex
Stupid
Works great but I won’t use it for a week then it says I am out of free scans for the day and won’t let me turn in my homework unless I buy their premium, so stupid to pay to take pictures
Worst experience
Worst experience. The app locks everything behind a paywall with zero demo, zero trial. Not even one use to see if it works for me. I’m not gambling $49.99 on an app I can’t test. Hard pass. Uninstalled
Free Version Useless
Every scanned document has a watermark which makes this app totally useless unless you pay. There are so many scanning apps out there that don’t watermark. What a waste of my time. DELETED!
What do you mean pay for PDF?
I was using CamScanner just to turn my pages from handwriting to PDF so so now if I have to pay for it I just gonna delete the app !

Used to be great but was just rushing to make a multi-page pdf of some homework (which used to be free) and couldn’t because now you have to pay for every feature- technically the app is “free” but to do practically anything you need to pay now. Disappointed, I was fine with ads and watermarks in exchange for a function free scanner.
Won’t send
Trying dozens of times to send a scanned receipt and it won’t go, tried 4 emails. Very frustrating

For the $60 fee the app photos are of low quality, even though it’s using a generation 17 apple Pro camera. Totally regret not seeing what their price was and how quickly the trial time was up.
