New updates after hack
After the hacks the app still does not work properly. The new UI continually changes back to the old one and erases everything in the to-do tab so none of the recent due dates for assignments appear at all. Logins also have been super buggy for some reason and give error messages. Used to be great, now absolutely trashed

Bug Ridden
This is one of the most buggy apps I have ever worked with. Anything other than the most basic functions seem to never work reliably and even then, sometimes the app doesn’t work at all. Please take some time to go back through and make sure you existing features work before adding anything else

Doesn’t load documents correctly. It just shows a bunch of code.
Lack of Mobile Device Accessibility
The new update took off mobile device accessibility on the phone and iPad. When viewing files, the same file viewer from the web version appears, successfully taking away valuable spaces with zoom, page count, expand, download, and it show empty white pages outside the page edge. In addition, you cannot zoom in with your finger to your desire location, you are forced to zoom with the +/- and the page zooms to the edge of the page, and you need to find where you were last time. All of these make the already small documents look smaller on mobile device, and disrupt the instinct to ZOOM IN or OUT with your fingers. The mobile app should be a quick easy way to access materials on the go, If I wanted the web version, I would have use a computer or laptop.
The to do list panda and check box is also not needed for many others who would prefer a cleaner page as before.
Please enable a system where students can customize how it should look according to accessibility.

New update ruined it
Used to be good but the new update sucks. My classes never load properly on the dashboard

I just accidentally update new version and it doesnt work well. For my to do list, now it appears nothing due for me. So I cant track what assignments Im missing.

first they are being hacked , second they sign you out for no reason , third it never works . i dont like canvas what so ever . the submissions barely go through .

Google Classroom is better!
Very laggy and annoying to use. Modules aren’t organized and everything is just AWFUL to use. Good thing we are switching to Google Classroom. Google Classroom is less laggy, so think about this as a recommendation to tell your school to NOT use canvas.

it logged me out and when i click on my organization to log back in i just get a fail message. qr login also isnt woriking and i cant find any help on their website. just awful for no reason.

Canvas has recently been hacked, they are asking Instructure for a ransom and currently canvas has been converted into a malware that will activate on your device at the end of the day of May 12th, uninstall before than unless you want to get your files leaked.

Canvas is really bad, u literally got hacked, and this is so unproductive and hard to use. Google classroom is better than yours. Google classroom is free, why would I spend money on something that doesn’t help me in the slightest? Please fix your app, thanks.

Down for maintenance
As someone who’s a college student about to graduate I am beyond mad. Today they shut down the website for unknown time DURING FINALS WEEK. This is just unacceptable, they are aware this is a very important time. Im so disappointed and I really advised colleges to use a different app. They are always down for maintenance and this app overall has given me so many issues in my college years. If I could give 0 stars I would.

It’s either down for AWS, down because they got hacked and leaked all our information, or the app has some random bug in it. They even downplay getting hacked as “scheduled maintenance” like they would have scheduled maintenance at 5PM during finals week. Don’t trust the company or service.
