Most frustrating and glitchy app I’ve ever used
This app is amazing…when it works, which is maybe 5% of the time. The extension pops up on every darn website when I don’t need it and is nowhere to be found when I do need it. It is the most glitchy app I have ever used and absolutely does not function as intended. I have had it over half a year and have tried many times to get it to work. It has work twice and the second of those times it only worked about half the time I was trying to add offers to my Amex account. The button would show up to add, and I would select my offers, but then nothing would happen when I clicked the check mark. I reloaded the site about 20 times and it finally worked for one offer and I thanked my lucky stars and then it stopped working again. Most frustrating app ever. I would love my money back.

Simply Terrible
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with CardPointers has been extremely disappointing.
First, I accidentally purchased the Premium subscription and contacted support within minutes, but they would not allow me to undo or reverse the purchase. That left a bad impression from the start, especially considering how little time had passed.
More importantly, the app simply does not provide the level of insight I expected. I was hoping for meaningful information about current credit card promotions, offers, and strategies to maximize rewards. Instead, most of the information is generic and already available from my credit card issuers. There is very little guidance on the best ways to redeem points or optimize rewards after they’ve been earned.
I’ve also found that the app’s recommendations for which card to use are not always the best option. In many cases, I get more value from Credit Karma’s Card Optimizer feature than I do from CardPointers.
The technical issues make matters worse. Location tracking is inconsistent, the app frequently freezes, I’ve been randomly logged out multiple times, and it often fails to identify nearby locations correctly.
For a service that costs around $70, I expected significantly more functionality, reliability, and customer support. Instead, I ended up with an app that underdelivered on its promises and was frustrating to use. If I could rate it lower than one star, I would. Complete waste of money.

Worthless App
Bought this app based on the recommendation by ‘all the hacks ‘. It has a poor interface-no valuable information.

Instead, it shows my cards and says "starts 1x reward"-what’s the value of this information?
Also, I don’t understand why they only give the offers for the card you upload. Why not just display all the available offers for all the cards in the world?
Not sure why anyone would recommend this app.
Please don’t buy.

Can’t add a card because the app stalls out with a spinning gear.
Deleted cards come back.
When trying to add a card, if you leave the app to look up the convoluted name a card, the app loses programs and wipes what you’ve entered.

Don’t even download the app!
While on my journey to learn more about cards and points and fixing my credit I stumbled across this app. I tend to be very cautious and smart about free trials because I know what the catch is, i.e. a lot of people forget they subscribed and the company profits off of your human error.
I’ve emailed three times, because I genuinely cannot afford $90 at the moment, and have had zero response. I now I can’t use the App Store at all which I was using to try and make some extra income while I get through this tough patch. What makes this even more frustrating and pathetic and sad is that I legit have no use for this app, since I don’t get approved for cards to begin with.
What started off as hopeful curiosity about the possibility of one day being able to use card points and fix my credit, turned into me ending up in a far worse situation. If you’re in any kind of similar situation as mine. Avoid at all cost.
On the day that I finally reach my credit score and card goals, this will never be the app I do business with.

Constantly spams you and does not respect your notification preferences set within the app. I have notifications completely turned within the app and still get annoying notifications. Violates the specifications from Apple.

Overpriced, questionable ROI
It’s core feature, telling you what card to use at any particular time (“best card wizard”) is locked behind a $90 (per year) paywall.
I have a hard time seeing the return on investment here. Say I make 35, $200 purchases throughout the year. (~7000 in spend) I would have to use the sub optimal card about half the time in order get my $90 back in point value, assuming a average 2.5 point increase by being directed to use the correct card by the app. For most big purchases you probably know what card to use anyway, it’s the random small stuff that this app helps with and I just don’t see the ROI for that.
While I understand software development isn’t free this app should not cost more than AAA video game title.
$20 a year seems like a more reasonable

Apparently the paid features are where you will find the “most” value. So as long at you are willing to pay, upwards of $90/month, you will get the most use of this app. Otherwise, it’s useless.

This app is a joke, DO NOT FALL FOR IT!!!!!
This app looked really cool when I came across it. I tried the “free trial period” and it sucks. I used it for two days and after entering all my CC info, o have over 10 CC’s. the app simply recommended the same CC for every transaction and it wasn’t even the card that I would benefit from the most! So I thought I had cancelled it, apparently not because I was charged $70+ for nothing. The developer followed up asking why I cancelled and I wrote back stating my experience, asked for my money back and was ghosted by the developer…how’s that for customer service, terrible. I would not sick this app on my worst enemy, the “free trial offer” will cost you one way or another. So yes, I feel ripped off and ignored, I guess it’s the price I pay for trying something different. BUYER BEWARE!!!!
