This is the worst app I’ve ever used honestly. Can’t even see if all the pictures I uploaded are on my profile, doesn’t show all jobs available - you have to refresh the app a few times and then a job posted 19 days prior will magically appear that wasn’t showing before for some reason.

Can’t even add just “odd errands and jobs” under your services anymore but you can somehow search for those jobs.

They only want your money
When it’s time to cancel there is no option. They basically force you to keep paying because you can not get pass the screen and there are only 2 options to choose from when is upgrade to premium or yearly screening. I’ve seen manyyyy people have this SAME EXACT issue. Just know whenever you want to stop payments you won’t Be ABLE to.

It’s based on whether the parent picks you as their caregiver. There’s a lot of competition and if you don’t look for a job constantly, you definitely won’t have one. So if you’re looking for steady income, this isn’t it.

First of all when I signed up on the web they did not disclose that their website was not available anymore and one had to use their app. It's only after they charge that one is forced to download the app. Zero customer service, no way to cancel ahead to make sure I don't get charged next month unless I delete the account now.
Horrible App and company
Buttons don’t work. Profiles never update. Customer service NEVER responds. I’m looking for a job and I’m desperate enough to pay this useless platform and I can’t even look for jobs! I get an error message every time I try to. I’ve entered my profile at least 10 times and it never saves. I will press on a button 100 times for it to do nothing. And no one is helping. It feels like a scam and I have reported them to the BBB. Look for yourself - there’s countless other reviews talking about this and also how they continue to charge even after services are cancelled. I already had to ask my bank to block payments. It is disturbing what these companies can get away with and the “services” they claim to provide. Shame on you care.com for exploiting the working class in this manner.
Paying for a Service I Can’t Use
I don’t understand why Care.com makes caregivers wait so long for a background check. I completed mine on June 14, and now I’m being told I have to wait until June 17 before I can fully use the app.
What’s especially frustrating is that I currently have four potential clients who want to contact me and may need my help, but I can’t properly communicate with them through the app. Their phone numbers are blocked out with X’s, and I’m unable to access important information because my background check is still pending.
What makes this even more confusing is that I was already able to get a caregiving job through the app for daytime and evening hours. Everything seemed to be working fine. Then when I tried to find an additional morning position, I suddenly ran into restrictions and was told I needed to wait for my background check to be completed before I could move forward.
From my perspective, it doesn’t make sense. If I was already able to connect with families and secure one job, why am I now being blocked from communicating with other families who are interested in hiring me? The process feels inconsistent and confusing.
I’m also paying for a membership so I can connect with families and find work. If I’m paying for the service but can’t access important features while waiting for a background check, there should be some kind of refund, credit, or account extension offered. It feels like I’m paying for a service that I can’t fully use.
Every day matters when you’re trying to work. Families can hire someone else while I’m stuck waiting for a process that should be much faster. Care.com needs to improve its background check process because delays like this can cost caregivers real job opportunities and create unnecessary frustration for paying members.

This app only cares about the families & not there caregivers

During that time, I maintained an excellent record, received outstanding reviews, and never had a single violation on my account.
What is especially concerning is that I previously reported families for unprofessional behavior, yet no action appeared to be taken on those accounts. From my perspective, it feels as though caregivers are not given the same level of consideration or fairness as families.
Care.com has been a major source of income for my family, and having my account removed without transparency has caused significant hardship. I respectfully request a clear explanation regarding this decision and a fair review of my account history before any permanent action is taken.
If this matter cannot be resolved appropriately, I will consider pursuing legal guidance. I strongly believe the caregiver support and review process needs improvement and should not rely solely on one-sided reports without proper investigation.

Be careful here, they will charge fees without your knowledge, reoccurring without a notice.

Causó que me despidieran
Utilice este servicio ya que mi empleador me regalaba 15 días para que no faltara. Los use en el 2025 y en mayo 2006 me despiden. El sistema de la aplicación arrojó errores de conexión repetidos.
Esos errores generaron solicitudes duplicadas de manera automática.

This app sucks. As a caregiver, I never got a single job within a month of using the app. It glitches a lot, never allowed me to display a profile picture, and even now when I’m trying to delete my account, there are glitches. Find another way to babysit or whatever don’t waste your time

They need to hire someone that can make the UI better and/or pay the caregivers for their feedback and LISTEN. It’s all unpleasant and not user friendly. Honestly they need to look into UrbanSitter and replicate some of their app’s UIs.
Features to add:
• Able to actually see if they read the messages (the double checks are small/green isn’t noticeable. It should be simple and just say when it was read)
• See if they read/went to your profile.
• Delete job posting from search when not interested.
• Have all the jobs in ONE area. No more switching between what jobs you are looking for.
• Keep filters the way you set them until you change them again.
On families/companies creating an accounts;
• Needs to be mandatory they upload a photo.
• Double check that the information they entered is correct and what they are actually looking for. Such an easy thing but have wasted so much time with what they wrote isn’t 100% true.
Features to add:

Lost money due to this app
I am so incredibly disappointed and frustrated with this app. I had used it for a year and it was so easy to find nannying and petsitting jobs, which was my entire income. I loved it. THEN I upgraded to premium account. The app fully stopped working. It wouldn’t let me look at gigs or book them. I reached out to care and they said the only way to resolve the issue was to delete my account. WTF. I had positive reviews on there that helped me get jobs. By starting new I would have to completely build up my account all over again. They did not refund me for the fact that I updated the account and it just stopped working. It may work at first but trust me it will disappoint you- I have heard from both caregivers and those looking care.
Membership is difficult to cancel
I recommend not subscribing because their membership is very difficult to cancel. My membership more than doubled and I was not made aware. It took me half an hour to find where to cancel the membership. After finally successfully canceling my membership, I contacted customer service for a refund and they told me that they would not issue a refund.
No activity and kept charging after cancellation
I canceled this account over a year ago and I just got charged for it. There’s no telling how many charges I’ve had. I never got a single hit for any. Services never made a dime off of it and apparently I’ve been paying this whole time.. do not sign up for this website
Terrible app, product design, software bugs everywhere
This is a very much needed service I pay for. A year ago the app was so unusable I gave up. Now, there is new problems. I give usability a zero. I doubt they test the software.
Account closed with an active paid subscription
Most likely a scam website which closes ur account after accepting ur subscription. There was no cause to close our account and we did not do anything wrong but saw that our account was closed within a week and i paid around $60 to find a babysitter
Awful app
I made a caregiver profile and could not edit my bio even after calling customer service and sitting on the phone for 45 minutes. I set my price but got notifications for jobs for $14 an hour. You can’t change this. I could not delete the profile again without calling customer service. Maybe the worst app I’ve ever used.
just awful
this site is ridiculously terrible. you’ll have better luck just joining a local babysitting group on facebook. i signed up and payed for an account on this app and it was going fine until i got banned for seemingly no reason. I attempted to appeal the ban, but alas, it got rejected. so i made another account, and payed for that one. rookie mistake. got banned AGAIN. in my frustration i tried to contact customer support, and i think i called on this persons first day on earth. i tried to figure out at least why i got banned but he told me he had no way of helping me with any of my problems. so just keep your money and look somewhere else.
GLITCHY UPDATE
The app is so glitchy after this most recent update. Every time I try to edit my profile (especially the pictures) I get three loading dots and have to leave the app after waiting five or more minutes. HATE IT
Can’t even cancel
The first time i used this app it was very helpful and easy and I genuinely liked it but now i can’t even cancel it I’ve called, I’ve tried to cancel through the app and nothing I got charged $11 for something I don’t use anymore and I have tried to cancel
Total scam
I paid for the 3 month plan. Not one person applied for my listing. The only people who responded to my messages were obvious scammers. I would not recommend this service! I live in NYC and should have had many hits.
Not able to delete my account
This entire app seems like a scam to me. I signed up, tried to move forward with the free limited option, immediately got hit with applicant emails for a profile that I was told didn’t even post. Tried to delete my account and was informed that I am unable to do so essentially because they are still collecting my information. Get wrecked!

Literally NONE of your members respond to any messages. I’ve been on this app for a LONG time. It’s quite ridiculous. Can’t even take two seconds to say if they’re still looking for care. I wouldn’t recommend this app to ANYONE.

When the website was used, I had great experiences getting students. The app, however, has been useless since I paid for a 6-month membership over 6 weeks ago. They are refusing a refund, and I’ve been told TWICE a supervisor or manager will call me back in 48 hours. I’m still waiting. My next move is BBB and then the AG office.

Trying to find a job on this app is a mind game. Why are you recommending jobs to me on my front page that are well below my indicated pay range and outside of my map? Why do some headlines for jobs say “child” but the description says “care needed for my 4 children”. Your “draw on map” feature is impossible to use and why do I have to google every zip code I want to search jobs in? Why can’t Care be more intuitive and ask for state and then allow you to write what town. It’s so stupid. I ask to sort jobs by “day posted” and that doesn’t do a thing. I see multiple listings for the same exact job. The only reason I’m giving any stars is that I have found good jobs on Care but it objectively is a terrible and antiquated app.

I’ve been on Care for several years and have found some good jobs here. But recently, they started asking you to pay $2.99 PER JOB you apply to in order to “boost” your application. Or in other words, so they don’t bury your application under the ones that people pay for. They already charge the families to belong and then to hire someone, and they charge the nannies for a background check (understandable), and want us to get a premium membership in order for them to not bury our profile to where people can’t find us, now we have to pay PER APPLICATION, before we even know if the job is a fit?! The app is confusing enough for the parents bc half of the time, they post for hours different than what they need (like people who want regular babysitters post that they want someone every Friday and Saturday bc there is only an option for a one time sitter for a specific date, or a recurring sitter for every single week. So I might be applying to someone who wants me overnight every single weekend night, or someone who wants a sitter here and there, mostly on weekends. I have to pay $3 to find out. Total money grab and scam.
In addition, they also changed it so I have a reminder on it at all times for “job matches near you”, which are jobs anywhere from 10-15 miles away from my home (not a big deal) for families who are offering $10-15 less than my minimum (HUGE deal). I wouldn’t even consider these jobs. So annoying.

I’ve been using Care.com for about a year now and overall I really do appreciate the platform and have had positive experiences connecting with families. It has been a helpful resource for finding work and building relationships with children and parents.
However, one thing I don’t love is how one-sided the review system feels. It often seems like families have more visibility and flexibility in how feedback is presented, while caregivers don’t always receive the same level of fairness or consideration in return. It can feel like there’s an imbalance in how experiences are reflected.

This is a great to an ok app for looking for jobs I love how I can find family who needs of help… I love helping when need a hand this app is the example, one thing I’m not happy about is the background checks to get pick by a parent the prices are unreasonable $20 for motor vehicle records check, $50 for Enhanced background check…. Oh oh this is the worst one $60 for motor vehicle background check….. i don’t pick money from trees I downloaded this app to be employed and to connect with lovely families I can’t spend $130 on background checks that’s almost a grocery prices when I can do all 3 for $30 on the DMV website I can’t enjoy this app with this kind of scam prices it’s ridiculous overall I love this app but the creator of this app doesn’t care about the family seem to only care about the money…..Jesus but anyways god bless.

Job searching was so much easier without this app!!!! It’s forever changing and there’s always an issue. I just deleted and reinstalling because it wasn’t connecting.
