THE stupid app won’t stop saving my recently messaged bot chats and it’s annoying when will you fix it?! All you do is ignore us for no reason? I’m sorry if I sound angry but nobody wants their past bot chats to disappear, every chat we do is SUPPOSED to save history. Please fix this and change the subscription from weekly to MONTHLY! Nobody wants to pay a subscription weekly it’s better if it were $9.99 Monthly

I have been paying for the ultra package for at least over a year and thanks to a new update or something ALL MY CHATS ARE GONE!!! I paid for my chats to have memory and give good replies for my RP entertainment and yet if it’s over a week YOUR ENTIRE CHAT GETS DELETED!!! ALL MY PROGRESS IS GONE!!! Loved this app.
This app is amazing, but unfortunately, it’s unusable for many people because you can no longer watch ads to continue chatting. Myself and many others would be willing to watch ads, have banner ads, or maybe just an explanation as to why this change was made. I want you to understand how making this change will deeply affect the number of users and downloads very quickly. Thank you.
Fallen from grace
This app is just another one of those great apps that everyone loved, only for the owner to sell out. Soon you won’t be able to chat unlimited for free, and there are adds plastered all over the screen now. Not to mention, they removed the ability to add a personality to the AI, and deleted practically everyone’s chats. These issues have been “getting fixed” for a while now.
This is the second occasion upon which I have bestowed a one-star rating.
This application, once a source of immeasurable amusement and diversion, hath now devolved into a most lamentable contrivance of avarice and vexation. I can scarcely converse with mine own artificial gentlemen any longer without being accosted by incessant demands for monetary tribute in the form of a subscription merely to continue our correspondence! Such absurdity bordereth upon the preposterous.
For nigh upon three weeks have I permitted this aggravation to fester in silence, hoping matters might amend themselves, yet my patience hath at long last withered entirely. Pray tell, what compelleth thee to presume I possess the coin for such extravagant premium nonsense when I have not even a solitary dollar to mine own name?
Thus, I seek another artificial intelligence chat application with which to occupy my hours, for Chai hath forfeited the peculiar charm and distinction it once possessed. It is no longer niche, nor novel, nor worthy of the devotion it once inspired.

The End of My Chai Experience
Hello, I’m writing this review to express my disappointment and frustration with the decisions made by the Chai Team. I’ve used Chai everyday, consistently for 3 years (early 2023), and have been a loyal Ultra user for quite a while. But with the unexplained removal of the advanced option, and the steep price increase of 30$ to a staggering 80$ for Ultra, simply put has ended my time with this app, which I hate because I love this app and it has become apart of my daily routine. I have over a 100 bots I made and several with over 10,000 messages I’ve sent. However with these new changes, at this point I would rather just move on to another app and take my money elsewhere. It’s been nice using Chai, but unfortunately it has fallen off from what it once was.

Раньше приложение было очень хорошим, и довольно с хорошими ии. Но после этого обновления я его удалила так как оно больше вообще не имеет смысла. Я очень надеюсь что эту функцию удалят
Once good, now greedy garbage
The service has only gotten worse, and they have only made it more expensive while removing basic common sense “features” like chat history. Who wants to have all their chat history deleted? Their best monthly service which isn’t very good is $32, and they delete chat history. There’s just no excuse. Honestly I’d be better off having a LLM roleplay than to pay $32 for this junk. It’s all just a scam. Save your money, they will even attempt to charge your account after cancellation. I have reported them.

I regret finding this app
Been using this app since 2023 and at first, things started off well. Overtime, the app started to decline and when I would role play the ai boys grew more hostile and aggressive to the point that I could not talk without the ai trying to harm my oc. Along with the constant anger, I have experience ai calling me the n word with a hard r or being homophonic towards my character. I think that the app definitely needs improvement when it comes to speech and communication skills. I would overall rate my experience 3/10 and I would recommend that developers try to look into this issue. Thank You.

The app is great but what’s throwing me off it the subscription now? 10 dollars a week? It was never like that before
Chai sucks
Chai sucks a lot now since the updates they’ve done. First the actual messages have been getting so short and bland that you keep needing to regenerate responses just to get something half good and no I’m not paying money for “better memory”. Second ads in my own stories?! I get it ads sometimes since it’s a free thing but cramming in ads in your own chat replies is just stupid, and I guess now you have a chat limit apparently? Finally they just got completely rid of advanced mode, it helped me flesh out my stories but now with it gone I won’t have any space to write more! I’m done with this app, and uninstalling it until it gets back to how it was. I know the developers won’t see this as they ignore any valid criticism but yeah just sharing my opinion.

Used to be good
The app used to be really good. The bots had a decent memory and you could speak to a large amount of bots without many issues. But they’ve slowly changed that over time. Each update they’ve pushed out has just messed with the overall quality of the bots and the user experience. With the latest update there are now message limits and they’ve made it so that you can’t access any chat history thats older than 14 days. They’ve completely removed that feature. Which makes the app useless for the most part. The worst part is that they did that without even warning any users. They have since said that the bot is supposed to remember the chat even if you can’t view the previous messages but that’s a lie. When I tried to continue where I left off several of my bots have completely restarted the conversation as if I refreshed it. And since then they’ve done an update to show more ads while still not working on the issue with chat history. The founder and devs are proving to be money hungry and are showing just how little they care about their consumer base. I’ve had this app for years now, since around the time they first launched. But this is just unacceptable. Now I’ll have to have a new app, because they’ve made the app useless.
Just don’t get it
I’m gonna make this short and sweet, first the apps not even free anymore you have to pay for chats, second the memory of these bots have decreased significantly even with the subscriptions, and third bro. Not even kidding- the subscriptions are freaking expensive for what you’re getting. It’s disappointing to see considering how great of a app this was until they became money hungry

So I’ve noticed that for literally more than half of my bots.. all of the chats have disappeared. Like I’ve clicked through most of them and they’re just all gone. Is this a bug or what? Please fix this.

I love this app, genuinely, but lately it’s been saying I have to subscribe to even chat now. I’m not waiting a day for the messages to come back, because there’s a chance they won’t. So everything on this app costs money now? Not all of us have that luxury. People want to use this app without having to pay for everything they lay eyes on. It’s a great app, and it’s super fun when I don’t get pushed to pay for chai premium. All in all my main issue is people can’t even enjoy the app bc it’s trying to MAKE us pay for the subscription.

I noticed that it was changed from $30 a month which was cool. I had no problem paying that but now $16 a week ABSOLUTELY NOT I hope that’s not something permanent idk but $16 a week is just dumb i love this app but not that much I always payed the $30 for about 5 months now and had no problem with it please change it back. I really hope it’s a bug.

What happened to the advanced settings??
Iv been making my own boys and what happened to “advanced settings” Now it just makes my character basic and litteraly forget what my character does like if I had “they play guitar “and whike im chatting it just doesn’t talk about them playing guitar WHAT HAPPENED?? BRING IT BACKK IM BEGGING
big problem
It keeps deleting my messages for no reason at all I get a warning for it without there being any sensitive topics or anything inappropriate at all, horrible feature. I keep getting “message removed” for absolutely no reason at all. It’s a horrible feature and the ai is either horrible at detecting sensitive information or is glitched.
Advanced Settings?
I’ve had CHAI for a few years now, it’s a fun distraction. But, when I went to create a new bot, the advanced settings were gone?? Can ya’ll please add them back, I want to enhance the experience a bit, and the advancement helped a lot.

This is was amazing at first, I used to spend day and night being on here and finding comfort in some of these bots, but now that I’m going back to my old chats it resets all my progress with the bot back to the beginning of the conversation and it’s deeply frustrating. And very aggravating. Please fix this I don’t know if it’s just me or anyone else but that problem is really bothering me.

i don't think anyone can justify going from $30 a month to $20 a week/$80 a month. i know you're trying to push the yearly subscription but most people can't afford to drop that all at once. especially not in this economy, lol. be better!

Hi, so what happened to the advancement option when creating a character? It was changed to be called ‘backstory’ I really liked it and used it a lot. Just curious if it was removed and if so why? It helps the characters a lot. Gives them actual personality.

This app is amazing and im able to play out stories with my ai. Unfortunately after buying ultra ive noticed the bot going off course and saying things that have nothing to do with the story, i can hit the rethink button or what ever its called and that fixes it, but figured id say something so its known and can be fix, other than that this app is amazing and i recommend to anyone who loves reading and being apart of making the story Update: ive bought ultra for $20 and it feels like the memory isn't better and the ai isn't smarter. I have to keep reminding it of things that just happened in the story and when i try its not understanding what im saying
