Premature rating request
Before I was even able to get past the 10th screen it asked me to rate the app. Well based on an experience I’ve never had yet and a few simple questions, this app provides zero services so far and now I’m not sure if I’ll even make it back to the app.

It is so far removed from anything real that it does not do anything other than be extremely generic and useless for any lesson and the scenarios are designed for inviting you to talk endlessly and have it support you rather than realism and real constructive criticism. The AI lacks the nuance and tools for its “critiques” to be of any use. there is not even a free trial, which should have been my first sign. DO NOT BUY THIS APP unless you hate money and your free time.

Promises to work with a 30 day plan. But asks you to subscribe for a year before it’ll even let you do anything. Let me try it and see if it’s worth paying for.
A manipulative spam trap
If you want to answer 100 invasive manipulative questions before you ever get to try this app only to hit a paywall before trying it this app might be for you. The long survey spam trap is so cringe and is specifically designed to make the user feel insecure. Lame

But the people out there that really are trying to use an app to get better in life with getting dates and getting ahead well this ain’t gonna do it for you but for anyone that wants to have a really fun time improvising with the most awkward being in the world, it’s hilarious. This model is trash, absolute trash, but hilarious.

Great concept but waste of money

The conversation seems awkward like I am being interrogated I would say “ Hi just wanted to introduce myself” and the AI cuts me off and says “what are you hoping to get out of that?” Convos don’t feel authentic at all. Luckily I got the monthly subscription not the yearly one so I didn’t waste $40

The app requires you to pay for a subscription to actually do anything with it. The AI is terrible, leads you down conversations that go nowhere and are nothing like real life. They don’t honor their money-back guarantee when you try to cancel. Don’t even bother!

Mistake with the purchase. It is not have the social cues that you would expect a person would it’s very monotonous and similar to a robot.

Figured I’d check it out after it says money back guaranteed. Checked it out, wasn’t for me. Emailed asking for a cancellation and refund and never heard back.

Don’t waste your money. The ai will just repeat itself. Nothing about this feels organic at all. It can’t even follow an instruction to stay in character. They interrupt you after everything you say instead of staying in character for the full session. It’s not actually role play. It’s basically scripted teaching that is tenuous at best in my estimation.

The ad for this looked great, but the app itself was glitchy and not at all what I was looking for. There was a money-back guarantee during signup, so I requested a refund right away through Apple. It was denied, and so was the appeal, without explanation.
I then contacted the app’s listed support email address, and I have not heard back from them yet, not even an auto response saying my message was received. I’m afraid I was scammed out of $40.

Do not fall for this scam
Makes you pay immediately, then you realize the app is half broken, with it freezing often, AI doesn’t work most of the time, and complete lack of instruction. You go to a screen where you can talk, but unprompted and feels very fake. Would not recommend. Don’t get scammed.

I had a very frustrating experience with this app. The app advertises a “money back guarantee,” but when I requested a refund, it was denied. On top of that, the app provider has not responded to any of my emails.
Apple directs you to the developer, while the developer does not respond at all-leaving users with no support or resolution. The subscription renewal was also not clear, and I was charged without intending to continue.
Overall, this feels misleading and unfair. I would not recommend this app.

Useless
The AI does not act like a normal person at all, it will say things that are absolutely insane, and when i signed up it said i could get a refund but i have no idea how to do that. Just Useless. go join an improv group
Poor performance
CharmXP has a great concept but doesn’t fulfill the idea. First it doesn’t work! Imagine a phone call that breaks up and you’re blaming your internet connection you try everything to establish bandwidth strength but you just can’t get it right to then discover it’s not your WiFi it’s a glitchy undeveloped app with no customer support.
Don’t be duped.
I went out on a limb here as, I’m sure like many of you, have been running on autopilot for some time. Frankly, it’s a stretch calling this an AI. Its lessons are set scripts with pre-selected responses, and the coach isn’t any better.
If you’ve seen the perky interactions on your reels, you don’t even get that kind of presentation. CharmXP is a flat droning stare and you’re more likely to get more input from your telecom callbot. The most intelligent thing it appears to do is add your name, with mixed success, to the script.
I just wish Apple could cone to their senses and at least refund this shameless scam.

Glitchy. Did not honor money back guarantee.
Terrible app. Glitchy. It has me saying "hi my name is...." In a loop for twenty minutes without moving forward. Other parts of it kept saying things without me even engaging with it. Bugs throughout this app. Didn't help at all. They have a money back guarantee. When I asked for a refund Apple denied my request. For an app that's so glitchy it doesn't work at all. I would suggest moving in and not using this. Because if you're un-satisfied, that money back guarantee is a scam. They will not honor it. Never downloading another app from this developer again.
Trash…..too buggy
The app suddenly cuts out all the time. It’s impossible to keep dialog going due to that. I’d really like my money back. The app the busted and unusable.

I wanted to cancel the subscription 20 minutes after I downloaded the app. The lessons seem all universal and I feel that I’m not learning anything at all. I’m just getting frustrated with the repetitiveness. $40 down the drain.

It punishes me for saying things that are totally acceptable, and then it decides it wants to interrogate me about something I said. Terrible app, not one singular realistic conversation has been had in the time I used this app.

The app is awful and caused a ton of issues with my device, worst of all is Apple support WILL NOT refund you for this app. And yes you have to pay to use it. I am extremely disappointed with Apple and their decision. I attempted to appeal their decision and they denied it once again. The app states a guaranteed refund if you’re not satisfied and even after only using the app for 15 minutes I was not eligible for a refund. Don’t waste your money or time on this app!!!

The app took more than 5 minutes of sitting on the startup screen before actually loading any buttons. Then I noticed it was overheating my phone and when i tried to actually use it, the app bypassed literally all of my settings and volume control along with my headphones to absolutely blast itself at full volume so my roommates could hear it. Also it is ridiculously expensive. when i say it bypassed all settings i mean my ringer was off the volume was all the way down along with the regular volume, my bluetooth headphones were connected and it still decided to play at full volume

This app over emphasizes annunciation with little focus on improvement of actual conversation.
Honestly, you should avoid
I downloaded this app to help with public speaking. It was giving encouragement, but then I tested it out by mumbling and misusing words. It still told me great job. I don’t think this AI does anything. I am out $40 after using it for two days.

Free Trial is a SCAM- Beware!!
I opted for a 7-day FREE TRIAL (I have screenshot proof) and immediately cancelled the renewal, yet I was charged $12.99 right upon starting the 7-day trial.
After 10 minutes or so of playing with this App I realized it’s garbage and stopped using it.
Needless to say, I never authorized this charge.
This company/app developer is a scammer!
And the product is of poor quality and NOT WORTH YOUR TIME.

Great concept, not in love with the execution
The app provides scenarios of approaching people. However, the scenario feels like you’re being interrogated. If you say “nice shoes” the app will respond “Whoa, that’s a little fast, slow down…what’s nice about my shoes.” Then it doesn’t give any suggestions how to approach better. I’ve honestly found myself irritated some times. Because in real life I would have left the conversation a while ago. And contrary to popular opinion I don’t have a problem carrying a conversation. Considering that’s what I do in my line of work. It’s a great concept. I would love to see it improve to be a real teaching tool.
AirPods Don’t Work
My airpods do not work with this app. I have disconnected and reconnected my AirPods. The app has full permissions. I have deleted and reinstalled the app. Nothing on my end seems to make it work.
The app experience seems great so far. Not being able to use my AirPods severely limits my ability to use the app.

GREAT APP but creepy model
OK, so the app is great. I love how it’s making me think it makes me think of how to approach situations in ways that I would’ve never imagined and I’m still thinking about it but that model you guys need to get better with making the model look more lifelike. She doesn’t need to look real. She doesn’t even need to fine she just needs not look like she staring into the depths of my soul. Make it where we can customize how she looks. AGAIN GREAT APP BUT THE ONLY REASON I’M GIVING YOU A TWO BECAUSE THE MODEL LOOKS JUST THAT CREEPY.
