3 puzzles a day? I’ve been with lichess for years. Played tens of thousands of puzzles for FREE. Puzzles are extremely underrated for new and intermediate level players. Going back to Lichess.
Undesired piece magnification
This app has no option to turn off piece magnification.
False positive ban and broken support for dedicated students
I am extremely disappointed with my experience.I have been a dedicated student of the game, applying deliberate, practice techniques inspired by peak by Andres Erickson to improve my play.this involves slowing down, using breathing techniques, and running a mental checklist of checks captures, and threats before every move.my reward for this hard work and focus was an automated account closure for ‘Fairplay violation’
it seems chess.com’s algorithm cannot distinguish between genuine human, improve improvement and assistance. My rating history shows clear human volatility, speaking at 1500 in rapid but fluctuating in blitz as I struggled to apply a new tech techniques under time pressure.
What makes this word is the total lack of support. The Help boat is stuck in a loop, and the Support page frequently returns refused to connect error with an image, making a manual appeal, nearly impossible.
I deeply regret spending money on a premium membership.I thought I was investing in a platform that supported growth and community, but instead, I was met with a broken automated system that penalize improvement and ignores paying customers when they need help. If you’re a student of the game, actually trying to get better, be careful you might just get banned for it.

The app suffers terrible lag. There is mass cheating. Customer service is trash. Other than that, not many other options…

Chess should never be monetized with unskippable mobile ads. Play on LICHESS instead.

Too many cheaters, not enough action
I used to really enjoy playing on Chess.com, but the cheating problem has gotten ridiculous. There are way too many players clearly using engines, and it completely ruins the experience for honest players. What makes it even more frustrating is that it feels like reports barely matter. A lot of obvious cheaters continue playing without consequences, and it honestly seems like the platform doesn’t care enough about enforcing fair play. Losing fair games is part of chess, but constantly running into cheaters makes the app exhausting to use.

Does not stop bully’s
I am just a beginner in chess I tried to get my rating up so I played one round with the user Medwini365 he was winning through nasty tactics and then send rude comments and emojis saying he’s better than me because he’s 300 and I’m 275 he’s a loser so I reported him and messaged chess.com and nothing happened they allow these bully’s and toxic chess players to continue to run the game and ruin the fun in chess I think I’m going to delete this app and give up on chess I can’t stand people like this everyone pls report if u can that user name thanks
Doesn’t ban racism because nothing but AI bots for support. They don’t do anything. Pathetic app.
Blocks curse words but not the n word. Wonder why. This company is racist. Danny is incompetent. You can see in the chess untold story the anti cheat is a joke. They don’t even ban racist people. Pathetic platform. Danny and the devs that work for this garbage company should be fired.
Don’t need ridiculous comments from opponent after every move
Deleting this app so stupid with the bot comment after each move and don’t see any settings to remove it, otherwise would be a good chess program can’t wait to delete it!!!

Almost all player make cheater with the clock

I can beat a 850 rating bot but I can’t beat a 125 person? Explain that. You can’t.
Rampant cheating
Used to love playing on here however cheating has become rampant to wear. The game is unplayable if you actually care about your ranking.
Can’t turn off haptic tap feedback
I have been playing consistently for the past few years, but a recent update turned on little haptic buzzes whenever I tap selections (not during matches- I already turned that off; but during UI experience). I really dislike the vibrations so much I may have to stop playing until this is fixed.
